We went to Saints Burger Joint at Eden on the bay this afternoon 29 December 2021 and had the worst possible experience ever. We called to make a booking for 7 people the day before as we had family driving all the way from Simonstown to come for lunch. Our waiter Maria who assisted us didn’t have our table ready when we arrived at 1pm , then we sat down and ordered the drinks with no issues. We saw they had a platter for R200 with four sliders, wings, jalapeño poppers and chips so we decided to order 2 for the table, as well as two full portion chicken wings and nachos. After waiting 45 minutes, Maria comes back to tell us that there is no chicken wings and no jalapeño poppers but nothing was mentioned before our food was ordered that certain things were out of stock, she offered to swop out the chicken wings for calamari and extra chips which is unacceptable as we specifically came for the wings as there was such good reviews about it. A hour after that we are still waiting for our food , not even a manager comes to ask us if everything is okay . Eventually at about 2:30 pm our food comes , the platter with extra two sliders, the beef slider was so dry , the pork had taste as least, with the one platter we ordered the parmasan wedges which we did not receive we received fries on both. The calamari starter was up to standard but the nachos was not great and it was cold, the jalapeño poppers (Maria told us was out of stock) came on the platter and was disgusting the jalapeño wasn’t cooked properly was hard , we ordered a bottled water which took 30 minutes to come. To top it off we had to ask for plates to eat out of because how can you give 4 side plates if we are 7 people really blows my mind! Clients that sat down after us even got their food before us and I noticed that the couple sitting behind us, the guy didn’t receive his food at all. I was so disappointed I feel like I will never eat at your establishment again. I have the slip as well if you would like to see it as proof.

After drinks were served, the draft I had broke. All the alcohol spilled all over the table including myself and friends. I was drenched, and reeked like alcohol. Although we requested napkins and assistance, the service was slow. The manager stated he’ll order us another draft. My issue is that there was no sincerity in terms of what has happened, no manager/people skills were displayed. The manager gave me a non-chalant attitude. When it came to payment, the manager avoided us before we had to get his attention, all he could do is give us R50 off the bill. Bearing in mind the bill was almost R700. I find this extremely unacceptable and seriously disappointing. I expected a more personal and sincere apology from the manager. I will never ever, return.

Absolutely shocking service from the waitresses. I had made reservations for the evening and when I arrived- hand sanitizer was not once offered- not during our time at the restaurant, not before entering and not when leaving- considering we are in the middle of a pandemic this is absolutely DISGUSTING! When I told this rude waitress that I had made reservations for two she completely ignored me and said Inside or outside?"I said again that I had made reservations for two, inside. She again completely ignored me and said again Inside or outside": (This is honestly so disgusting. To have such poor manners and customer service skills I am honestly appalled that she even got the job as a waitress there. After seating us at a table she handed us a plastic frame with a bar-code in it instead of a menu!? NOT explaining how to use it or anything- my partner and I sat like blithering idiots waiting for the other waiter to finish explaining it to his table- we then asked him to serve us for the rest of the evening a after he actually had the decency to explain to us how to use the menu. He actually provided us with semi decent service but there after the food was revolting- we ordered three separate meals and neither of us could finish any of them as the food was bland and just unappetizing. ALSO The amount of money we had to fork out with our bill was NO WHERE NEAR WORTH IT! I regret even paying my bill after the disgusting service and food. Sort your staff out- sort your chef out. Sort your system out! Offer your clients sanitizer at least! I am honestly so disappointed and I can assure you not myself not any of my acquaintances will ever go back there.

I had visited this establishment on the 06/10/2018 and is most probably the worst service or response from management ever received. The ****tail brought to our table tasted like sewerage water and the "Nachos" was actually potato bake... When sent back to have it replaced, management simply said that they will not replace or refund and that we have no other choice than to pay for the awful drinks and food and if we want a replacement, it will be an additional order and we will still pay for the food and drinks that we're not satisfied with. Terrible place, wont be going back, I hope their business close down as they portray nothing positive in their response or interactions with their customers.

I had visited this establishment on the 06/10/2018 and is most probably the worst service or response from management ever received. The ****tail brought to our table tasted like sewerage water and the "Nachos" was actually potato bake... When sent back to have it replaced, management simply said that they will not replace or refund and that we have no other choice than to pay for the awful drinks and food and if we want a replacement, it will be an additional order and we will still pay for the food and drinks that we're not satisfied with. Terrible place, wont be going back, I hope their business close down as they portray nothing positive in their response or interactions with their customers.

We got seated and were expecting more people in our party so the waiter asked us and then left us alone after dropping off the menus. The menus are covered in grime,are sticky and feel so dirty had to wash our hands after touching them. When our waiter arrived we gave all our orders but she wasn’t sure about certain things so went to ask management it was only later when another waiter came that we discovered she was a trainee waiter. We ordered drinks, I ordered a cucumber mint ice tea but ten minutes later they told us they were out of stock so I ordered something else. The drinks all came at different times so half the party were just sitting there without anything for a while. Overall we had been here about an hour before we placed our food order. We ordered mainly side dishes because they don’t offer many vegetarian options. We ordered a pizza and asked to substitute the bacon with avocados and the waiter said sure. When the bill came they had charged us extra for the avocados instead of substituting the price; the waiter then told us that they don’t do substitutes but he did not make that clear when we ordered otherwise we would have choosen something else. They do make it clear that when you order only one side is free but it is unclear what are sides for instance someone ordered a burger and a side was the chips with the burger, the sauce inside the burger and the sauce that is outside the burger (I say it like that because the menu makes you think both sauces are in the burger and not accompanied with the burger). On the bill we noticed two additional charges of R15. These were for tomato sauce and hot sauce we had asked for to accompany the chips we had ordered. That was surprising as many restaurants usually are fine with putting a bottle of tomato sauce on a table to enjoy with the chips they give you with no additional charges. For a few drinks (non alcoholic and things like a can of coke), nachos (which were actually potatoes), one burger, one pizza and three side dishes the bill came out to about R1000. If you eat there watch out for additional charges, read all clauses on the menu and check clearly with your waiter about additional charges as they are aiming to scam you. The waiter also got upset when we told him about not being clear about the substitution situation. Overall we had waited a long time on dirty tables for bad service, hidden charges and mediocre food.

My partner and I decided to give Saints a go on Friday the 13th of October. All was well when we ordered our drinks and food. Then the waiter casually disappeared. Roughly an hour after our food order was placed the front of the house asked if we placed an order. We casually said yes and she inquired. Shortly after a waiter presented our custom burgers. The burgers where cold and didn't have even half the ordered toppings. We decided not to make a scene, payed (for all the toppings) and left. Saints Burger Joint will never see us again and we'll never recommend them to anyone

We visited for lunch a few weeks ago. On arriving, the lady greeted us and asked no less that 3 times how many people in the party and was not even looking at me. We got seated right by the foor and every time customers and staff went through the door we got a blast of cold air. We had to hunt for our own blankets to try and keep warm. The waitress then took our drinks order. First the 2 hoy chocolate drinks arrived, on looking like it was made with sour milk and not tasting right. We complained and had a fresh one made. Then came my beer on tap in a chipped glass. At the price one pays for these beers for a tiny glass, at least you can serve it in a glass without a chip. Very unprofessional!!! Finally the cider drink came. Normal practice os to place an order of drinks on a tray and deliver them all to the table at the same time. That way you don't have customers sitting watching the rest of the party drinking while you have no drink. Then we placed the food order and once again it came in several deliveries. First 2 burgers that looked great. The a 350g rib eye steak that looked to half that weight and had lots of connecting tissue and gristle that had to be discarded making the actual meat quite tiny. Served with a hand full of chips and some rocket leaves it was a tough and not very filling meal and definitely not worth the price paid. Finally the pizza arrived and it must be the worst pizza ever. It was dry and tasteless and we actually took most of it home and added some olive oil and other bits to make it taste a bit better. We then had to call the waitress over to get the bill. This was a birthday celebration and one of the party had an appointment to keep so the slack service was not appreciated. Then I complained on their facebook page and they merely deleted my post without any comment. So I will not be back! There are far better places to eat in that area with far better food and service.
