I originally purchased a large off-grid Schneider Electric Solar system. I chose Schneider since they were supposed to be one of the most reliable brands out there and I needed a reliable system. I could have gone Chinese for one third of the price... The system could be remotely monitored through an Insight Conext Gateway. Unfortunately this failed after a year and since Schneider has discontinued all replacement gateway models. According to them there is now no way that you can monitor their solar systems remotely (something which even the cheapest Chinese system can manage...). When I try to get a recommendation for a replacement gateway I always get the same response that this is not possible anymore with Schneider. If this is true that will make them the most unsophisticated, primitive solar components in the world. Should have gone with Victron from the beginning...

I have purchased a APC UPS online via Makro and have since the 18th June 2023 been trying to get support. Eventually I received the information to deal directly with the South African agency SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC. After following instructions on testing and ensuring the UPS is faulty they agreed it is faulty and arranged collection for 11 July 2023. The timeline is now 05 July to 11 July. It is 14 July and still no conclusion to the issue as I still have the device boxed and ready to go. We have gone into loadshedding stage 6 as a small business I need to be online to earn an income.

I have made a warranty claim on the battery packs part SMX120BP. Schneider Electric has accepted the warranty claim but is unable to give me the ETA. I have been asking for the ETA for more than 6 weeks now. Loadshedding is really bad currently. I have invested a lot of money in the APC UPS and 4 battery packs. Now I have to go through Loadshedding with no knowledge when I will receive my 4 battery packs.

Morning, im totally at my wit's end, i have been trying for more than 6 months with their local agent and he doesn't even bother to reply to my messages. Ive sent Schneider multiple messages on various forums and also on the feedback platform and no reply at all! Im totally shocked. I have to resort to sending messages on LinkedIn and now Hellopeter to try get some form of reply and thats shocking. Im shocked by the absolutely terrible service

In a nutshell - built a scullery in August last year and put in Schneider double plugs in the revamped kitchen/dining room. Within a few weeks the one plug would not switch off. Being busy only got around to report it to Zubair at DISCOUNT ELECTRICAL where I bought the said plug from on 11 April. I was the put on to Martie van der Westhuizen and emailed her on 30 May 2018. A representative phoned me after this email to say it would be replaced. Martie too phoned and told me it would be replaced. No action!! I emailed Martie again today 23 August 2018 hoping to get a response this time. It has taken 14 weeks for NOTHING to happen.
