Very poor service experienced from Scorpion Legal Protection. I would strongly caution others before joining, as they are quick to deduct monthly fees, yet fail to provide assistance when a claim is lodged. In our experience, joining them has been a regrettable decision. There is a consistent lack of communication and feedback. When assistance is required, responses are delayed or non-existent. We are frequently told that the person handling our case is unavailable and that a message will be passed on for a callback. However, days and even weeks pass without any response. On several occasions, calls are transferred, but we are left waiting indefinitely while listening to hold music, with no resolution. Our case was initially logged in September 2025. We were assisted by Zizipho Vapi, but from September 2025 to January 2026, no meaningful progress was made despite our continuous follow-ups via calls and emails. We were later informed that she was on leave, and the case was handed over to Bathini Mbekelwa. Bathini requested additional documentation from us and with the understanding that the matter would thereafter proceed to court. But after submitting all the requested documents, communication once again ceased. Repeated attempts to contact her yielded the same response that she was busy and would return our call which never happened. As of 17 March 2026, our case remains unresolved. We attempted to escalate the matter to Ms Naido, who had previously offered assistance, only to be informed that she is no longer part of the relevant department and could not assist us. We were then assigned yet another representative, making it the third person to handle our case, further delaying progress. Due to the ongoing lack of service, communication, and accountability, we have decided to escalate this matter and report Scorpion Legal Protection on HelloPeter.

A huge shout-out to Tumelo Mahlaela. Miway Liabilities Department. We might be from the opposing seats but her efficiency is unmatched. In an industry where ignored correspondence and delays are daily challenges, it is refreshing that she is always on point with feedback—even if I don't like the answer at times :) She delivers stellar arguments ensuring matters are finalised timely to benefit clients. Extreme dissatisfaction will not be enough to explain how I feel about the poorest level of service I received from Scorpion Legal Protection. Over a short period, this company has dismally failed to adequately represent my interests on 5 separate (critical) occasions, despite my regular, timely, full payment for services. The specific issues I've experienced include: - Repeated failure to follow up on my cases, requiring me to constantly chase progress - Lack of proactive communication and updates on the status of my cases - The onus being placed on me to drive the process, rather than the company taking responsibility - Failure to effectively engage with debtors / service provider or opposing parties, often resulting in no resolution - Failure to provide value for my money and meeting expected standards of service. I wouldn't recommend this company to any client seeking, proper, proficient and professional legal service. Anyone desperately seeking legal assistance must run far away from this company.
