Online and recorded Lectures worthless
I enrolled with CharterQuest in 2022 to attend the week lectures and paid the deposit fee. After which I was told that there were not enough students and only Sunday online lectures will be available. It was not possible for me to attend Sunday lectures yet, no refund was offered even if they accepted my deposit knowing I was the only student enrolling for weekdays. Since I could not attend the lectures I tried to use there recorded classes which did not work out either. I could not understand the lecturer and was not in the initial class to raise the questions. Regardless I tried to follow the lecturer working through my study guide but for some reason, he was not using the same guide which was even more confusing. I was going back and forth but couldn’t keep track. Since I paid the R 6000 for one subject! I worked through ONE recorder lecture that helped nothing After I sent them an email explaining they just do not respond. I will definitely NOT RECOMMEND them at all

Unscrupulous business practices by Charterquest and Patience Mokondwa
I enrolled for CIMA studies in 2015 at this institute and I never attended lectures as I had a personal matter to attend to. I paid the full amount for tuition fees which was inclusive of lecture fees, case study exam fees and lectures, and CIMA exam fees. When I requested from Patience Mokondwa (COO) a full refund in 2015, she blatantly refused. It's been seven years now and I haven't received my R20k. Patience Mokondwa is still coming up with tactics when I engaged with her two weeks ago. I never even wrote any exams or tests yet Patience has the audacity to hog onto my monies. The exam fees for CIMA are usually paid to the Institute in the United Kingdom so that the student can be able to write the exam; in my case Charterquest chowed my money. The requisites for the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) are that a student first needs to pass all exams in order to be legible to write the Integrated case study exam; I never even wrote a single exam yet Charterquest refuses to pay my money back. It's been 7 years and I could have earned a substantial return on R20 000 had I invested my money. Patience is very unethical and greedy! People should stay away from Charterquest, it's a scam!!!

Outstanding service in regards to book orders
Posting this here as a way of thanks, I ordered some books from them, 2 of which were not currently in stock. They updated me regularly regarding the progress of my order, including dates at which my order would move to the next stage. My books were dispatched when promised and I received it within two business days. I would personally use them again, and recommend them to others

Bad services
Good day I purchased an ebook 2 days ago. I received communication with the token number and Instructions. I did that and it stated token invalid. I emailed back and they gave me another link. Followed that and it still stated invalid. Sent back to them advising them of my username. I am not prepared to give my password is that even legit to ask for user log in details. It seems your institute gives used tokens. Not getting any response to my emails and they told me token needs to be redeemed in 7 days. If you are not goinf to help me pls refund me and I will buy from another place

Do not gamble with your money at charterquest!
I don't even know where to begin. Please do yourself a favour by nirbeven considering charterquest. They are the most pathetic institution I have ever encountered. Due to their negligence and disorganization, I owe the company I work for R15k for an education I never even received. I had registered and paid for full time classes only to be told they are not available. I could not attend all their weekend classes due tobjealth reasons. Apparently I have forfeited all the monies paid. This after I their staff blatantly ignored emails I sent, never return calls and e en after I drive there received no assistance. My view is that you do not a right to fair and honest dealings with Chartequest. Their terms and conditions are unfair, unjust and unreasonable. Do not gamble with your money! I recommend IBTC instead. An honest business with good work ethic

Horrible experiences with a company that should have pride in helping their students
I am extremely sad, demotivated and disappointed. I wish I never decided to study with Charterquest. I did not wish to complain about their classes but after the treatment I received when asking for a refund for the subjects for which classes has not yet started I think it is a good idea to give students a more honest and clear idea of what they are getting into with this company. I booked and paid for the discounted combo pack of 4 subjects, deferring two subject to a later date to see how the first two go. I went into this contract thinking they understood the uncer*****y in booking and paying for 4 subjects upfront but I feel like they do not even care. The fees are high to study CIMA with them, granted CIMA fees are high. Compared to the other company I studied with while doing my degree (Edgebusiness school and SOFA school of accounting) they do not compare and they are R2000 more expensive. Firstly study notes are not printed for you, you only get access to them and then you have to print them yourself and above the costs already paid. I received the hand book and question and answer book. The projector does not enlarge the words for us to see clearly mostly you have to follow the study text and your own notes. Although the method of classes is suited to some students it was not suited to my needs, what was dealt with in class I could easily go through on my own. I attended P2 and E2 classes part time. I did not feel ready by revision time to even attend the revision classes as they are related to the mocks which were a disaster to write (I need more time to practice). I was not prepared, even though I did do exercises at home and during lunch at work. I was told by the lecturer I need to put in more hours which I did not have time for. I decided to contact them and let them know I want to cancel classes for the subject I have not taken yet and receive a refund. This is well in advance of them even booking the classes and since then class time and dates have changed as well. I even suggested they take the full price for the subjects I did take and only refund me for the amount above of which should only now be allocated to the classes as I would be taking them now. Services have not yet been rendered, no overhead should have been incurred and allocated to these classes as they have not yet occurred. Books received would be returned in condition received. I was told this is not allowed for in the contract and there is no problem with the classes and costs have already been incurred for the classes (I have requested a budget seeing what costs they have incurred for the services not yet rendered. I went into a contract with them in good faith and they broke my trust with their greed. I explained I was not ready for the exams and for future subjects and that I think a safer route for me would be to book and pay for one subject when I am ready than have it be deferred to 2020 (what happens in the case if i am not ready by then to take the classes?) very inflexible company with no consideration for the uncer*****y we feel as students especially doing it part time while working. Would it not be a better option to keep my trust as a client? Their mission talks about ethical framework and "designed to exceed our clients’/students’ exams preparation expectations" my expectations were not met and I believe they gave no consideration as to if a student is ready for or not. I feel exhausted and frustrated Please consider using another company before using this one, if you do decide to go to classes with CharterQuest I implore you not to book classes for more than one subject; should you not be ready they will not take it into account. Take it one step at a time. ----I have lost faith in both Charterquest and CIMA.---- I still do not understand the reason I cannot be refunded for services not yet rendered, I tried to be amiable about this to ensure they don’t lose money they worked for but this feels contrary to our contract law. I will escalate this further in time. In conclusion I do not feel they will be able to help me achieve my goals and have caused me to lose faith in CIMA as well as they recommended this company. Good luck to whoever reads this I hope I at least saved you the effort, time and money I wasted.

I had also had a mix up with my exam booking after I got misleading information information from their stuff member, they absolved themselves from the situation and I'm left with a bill to pay and unwritten exam. Now, they are refusing to respond to my email asking to withdraw my studies with them. Dealing with them is a nightmare. They always promise to respond to queries which they never do or take forever if they decide to.
