I checked in my 2022 Mercedes Benz red C200 for a valet, on the morning of 15 September 2023, at PINK CAR WASH Willowbridge branch. Apart from being dirty due to the rains, my car was perfect outside and inside. I am extremely meticulous about my car and value my possessions dearly. I left my car with Pink Car Wash, trusting that they would be meticulous about their client’s possessions too - even more than their clients, as they value their business and respect something which does not belong to them. When I collected my car, I noticed that my centre console had scratches on it, but it was dark and so I had to drive out to see whether this was indeed so. I had to take an incoming call, and could only inspect the console when I arrived at Vineyard Business Park 2.1km down the road. I was nauseous with shock when I saw the extent of the damage!!! I immediately called Leon, the person on duty, and explained to him what had happened, but he was not very perturbed at all, telling me that I must return for him to inspect the vehicle - this should have been done by him before handing the car over to me! I sent him a photo of the damage, and gave him the location for him to inspect the car, as I was unable to return, as I had an appointment I had to get to. I also understood that one cannot inspect a vehicle in a poorly lit underground parking garage. In a number of messages between myself and Leon, he alluded that I had brought the vehicle in like that, but this is a SERIOUSLY BAD assumption to make. WHY WOULD I DAMAGE MY OWN VEHICLE???? My console has been so badly damaged that it needs complete replacement. One can clearly see that a cloth with gravel/debris in it was used to wipe this, and if this was not the case, they used something which BADLY DAMAGED my vehicle. Leon stated in his messages to me that he “analysed the scratches on the photo I sent him” and concluded that those marks could not have been made by our micro fibre cloths” and further, that “the marks are not consistent with a wiping action”. Leon continues that “it is my conclusion that the damage to your vehicles centre console screen did not happen during the cleaning process this morning”. Leon is CLEARLY stating that I brought in a damaged vehicle, alluding that I am lying about this. This unscientific, biased conclusion by Leon is a gross allegation based on Leon protecting his staff and accusing the client. The incentive for me to damage a R1.5 million car I am paying for is less than the chances of the *********** GROSS NEGLIGENCE of an employee washing a car which does not belong to them. Leon had no interest in solving this gross negligence, and neither would he give me the contact details nor the name of the car wash's owner. After chatting with a number of friends, I was sent a HELLO PETER link, where it is very evident that PINK CAR WASH does not have a good reputation at all, and Leon is also negatively highlighted in the reviews. My experience with the atrocious service at PINK CAR WASH now makes complete sense and is in line with the complaints posted online.

IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR VEHICLE AND WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Absolutely terrible service from Leon! My vehicle was booked in for a R500 valet and was given back dirty, dusty and damaged! I arrived to a vehicle that was still full of dust and dirt both inside and outside. The floor mats were still full of dirt. The rear canopy section of the car was full of dust. All 4 of the door speakers were SOAKING wet. There was still polish on parts of the car that needed to be wiped off. The plastic clips surrounding the gear shifter had been broken. The left head light had lots of water in (This has never happened in the 10 years of ownership) The airbag warning light in illuminated on the dashboard. The silicone spray used is still on the paintwork and all over the car. When this was brought up with Leon not once did he apologise or offer to compensate me in anyway! I now need to take the vehicle in to Toyota to get the damage assessed on my own time! I asked to speak with the owner and the manager refused to provide me contact details, when I asked how long I can expect to wait till I’m am contacted I was told that he does not know. In the time I had overheard 2 other people complain about poor quality of work. While I was speaking with the manager another customer came in and he decided the conversation was over and ignored me while I was still speaking to him. This was the third time that I had received poor service from the Pink car wash, every time it was brushed aside and nog addressed. I regret that I had returned to the Pink car wash! The images and videos posted are after the Pink car wash spent another 25 minutes cleaning the car for the second time!!! I heard shortly after from a friend and from a colleague that he had experienced exactly the same service from Leon! To the owner: I was promised you would contact me, I really hope that you do! If you want your business to succeed I suggest you take note of how your staff treat customers and their vehicles! I have more video and photos should you wish to see them!

Unfortunately I have to select one star to write this rewiew. This is the third time my vehicles have been damaged by The Pink Car Wash. All three events was of a serious nature. Today paint was pressure hosed of my 2011 Fortuner. The owner - Ruan Rabie's response was: 1: Why do you come back to us ? 2: Your Toyota Fortuner is an old vehicle - Talk to Toyota My Fortuner has been pressure washes numerous times without any damage. Never again !!!!!

Went for a Regular R285 Valet. Car was cleaned but they washed the weights off my rims so my wheel balancing was way off and the drive home was ridiculously bumpy, I went the next day to get the wheels balanced costing me an additional R360 and they absolutely refuse to pay for it or at least give me a refund for the valet. Bearing in mind the minute I left I called the manager and stayed in contact as I was sorting out the problem. Not to mention they took an hour longer than what they told me so I was late for my next appointment as well.

I took my first car to them in 2017 which was a newish Mercedes B-Class. It was for a full valet. The car was clean so all good. I again now too my old 1999 CLK to them for the same treatment. Besides that simple things like the safety belts and sunvisors were not cleaned at all, some of the promised treatments like restored headlights were not done at all. Also some plastics in the car was damaged. It ook the car back and was given a voucher(not what I wanted) , but still when I arrived home the work was not done properly. I ended up myself taking normal household materials and cleaned the interior much better than they did. I also ended up buying a headlight restorer kit for R280 and restored my own headlights. It was a huge improvement. I could have rather saved the R1000 I paid and have done the cleaning myself! I will NEVER take my car to them again. I did not even get a call from the manager/owner after also sending them an email about this. It is affecting their business. How can you not care?

A friend suggested taking my car for a wash at The Pink Car Wash, the first time I did I was quite happy with the service as nothing bad happened. The second time I took my car expecting the same service, I was shocked to find out that when I returned home from the car wash, my knife was missing. I keep it on one place and I've never removed it from my car. I searched the car from top to bottom in case the cleaners placed it somewhere else, to no avail. Someone at the car wash definitely stole it. I called the car wash and spoke to the owner (Christo) who asked me a few questions about the day but nothing to confirm that he will check the cameras that very day with all the details of my vehicle, day and time that I had provided him with, he wants me to first come through so he can check. Had he checked the cameras there and then the knife could possibly have been retrieved. Anyway I go to the car wash the next day and he assists by checking the cameras which aren't very helpful, he is able to identify who was working on the inside of the car but without a doubt assures me that those two people have worked there forever and would never steal. So apparently the knife just slipped out of the car and no one decided to pick it up and hand it over to the owner! He did offer to replace the knife, but it's a knife I've had for more than 10 years, I would never be able to replace the exact model. It's also not about money, it's about ethics and agree that the knife was indeed stolen on your premises. Lesson to myself and my friend who have now found a much better and cheaper car wash also in Durbanville that does a great service too, DO NOT VISIT THIS CAR WASH! The owners protect their workers, they believe them and will go on anything they say.
