Too quick to subscribe one too lazy to unsubscribe them
I subscribed to this security company in December 2024, all along I thought I my house was under armed respons, only one day in October 2025 I discovered the worst, tested the alarm system many times including the following day and to my suprise there was no response whatsoever, I contacted Eloise viljoen and his son Chris they sent a technician 2 or so days later and it was fixed now in December 2025 I cancelled the subscription but even last night my account got deducted and when I ask Eloise viljoen about this she tells me she did send cancellation document to head office, now I want to know what will it take to cancel my subscription?

Guards cannot read or write not even Psira registered
This company uses security guards that are not PSIRA Registered also who cannot read or write poor service

FRAUDSTERS using cloned license plates!!
These guys are ABSOLUTE CRIMINALS!! They cloned my wife's car license plate (GP plate) and are running around all over Stellenbosch and Cape Town racking up fines, to the point where summons have been issued. Despite every attempt to reach out to them to get this resolved, we have received nothing to date. A case of fraud has been opened at SAPS to resolve this, but the fact they are so unwilling to assist makes me think this is the standard operating procedure for them, and probably have other peoples plates cloned, so watch out!

They bill me for an alarm system that is not working
I have gotten this company to install an alarm system this was in October 2021, they were so unprofessional in managing time because I had started to engage with them in July, it took them 2 months to finally install the system but after they installed it it hasn't worked because it gives me 2 seconds to exit the house after alarming the system, I have called I have emailed to get this fixed since then, it is January 2022, I will start by reversing all the debits since October because I am paying for service I am not using.

One Star is being genereous. Thornburn Security Solutions in Stellenbosch, what a joke! I have called 12x in one morning to get a technician to call me back and still nothing has happened.

Excellent Experience with Thorburn
I'd just like to commend a wonderful security guard called Phatsiwe who works at the door of H&M in the V&A Waterfront. I watched her greet every single person who came in and bid farewell to every single person who walked out while I waited to go into the store. Her enthusiasm and love for what she does was infectious. Also having lived in Val De Vie estate where they guard, I have only ever had excellent experience with them. They seem to always hire such friendly an enthusiastic staff.

Over the past 2 years I’ve been using Thorburn. On a few occasions the house alarm was activated and I was notified that Thorburn would call the police to go check on my property. Not once have I received a follow up call on the polices’ findings on checking the property. When I followed up with Thorburn I was told they could not get hold of the police or the police was not available. Tonight I found an intruder on my property and used the panic button... guess what... no service from Thorburn because they don’t have vehicles available in my area or the nearest town 25km away...
