On Sunday 13/5/18 I visited the Waterfront Top Shop branch. Saw a chino but when I fitted it on was too big. I asked the store assistant to check whether there other branch had a smaller size. That was around 11 she tried calling the Canal Branch store and came back 10 mins later saying nobody picking up the phone. I left my number and said ill walk around the Waterfront they must Call me when they get through. Waited till abt 1:30 when I went back they told me they still couldn't get through and would try one more time finally they got through and spoke to Dylan to keep the pants for me. I Then went to the canal walk store only to find no store assistant in the shop only the security guard after abt 10'mins and asking everyone where Dylan was only to be told his upstairs somewhere and for him to arrive 10'mins later. And people walking out of the store as there was nobody to assist. To my horror and utter disappointment and bad customer service experience I would like an explanation for this. This clearly means nobody was in the canal walk store thus the waterfront store couldn't get hold of the store as the store was left unattended. This is unexceptable. My worst shopping experience ever.

I BOUGHT A PAIR OF JEANS FROM TOPMAN IN THE WATERFRONT ( V &A WATERFRONT CAPE TOWN) ON THE 2/11/2017 AFTER FOUR MONTH THE JEANS TORN . I TOOK THEM BACK TO THE STORE ON 14/03/18 , I NEVER HAVE MY SLIP , SO I TOOK MY BANK STATEMENT. THE LADY AT THE TILL LOOKED AT THE TEAR AND WAS NOT SURPRISED, SHE ASKED ME IF I WOULD LIKE A GIFT CARD OR EXCHANGE IT FOR THE SAME PAIR , I SAID I WOULD LOVE THE SAME PAIR, GOT THE SAME PAIR WENT TO THE TILL , SHE CALLED THE MANAGER , HE ARRIVED NEVER GREETED, I SAID TO HIM " HI HOW YOU DOING" BAD ATTITUDE FOR A MANAGER , FILLED MY NAME AND DETAILS ON A PAGE , I ASKED HIM IF YOU COULD GIVE ME A SLIP TO SAY THAT MY JEANS ARE BEING EXCHANGE OR SOMETHING TO APPROVE THAT THEY SWOPPED MY JEANS , HE SAID NO , I THREW THE SLIP AWAY , ITS ON ME , SO IF THESE JEANS THAT THEY SWOPPED OUT FOR ME BROKE AGAIN HOW WILL I EXCHANGE IT ??? HE SAID AGAIN I THREW THE SLIP AWAY , I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW ,WHY HE SWAPPED MY BROKEN JEANS FOR A NEW PAIR IF I NEVER HAD MY SLIP???? AND HOW WILL I EXCHANGE THESE "NEW PAIR " GIVE TO ME ON 14/03/18 FOR A NEW PAIR IF THEY BREAK ?????PLEASE LET ME KNOW TOPSHOP/EDCON OTHERWISE I WILL HAVE TO TAKE THIS FURTHER

I recently had the most disgusting service at the Top shop in Sandton City. I Found a pair of boots under the sale section and proceeded to the till to purchase them only for the lady to tell me they aren’t on sale. I also saw the same pair at Mall of Africa last weekend ON SALE. She then told me and my mother to go back to the other mall and buy those because these aren’t on sale. Such a pity - I really wanted those boots. Especially since they have been marked down. The ladies (Pascalina and Coley) were so RUDE and arrogant that I will never be going back to the shop ever again and I will make sure to tell everyone about this shocking service!!!! They simply refused to help us, and talked down to us - and my 60 year old mother who frequently buy clothes at TS. Surely your training wasn’t as effective? I’m very upset at the fact that we were treated like this and that I didn’t purchase the item I had my heart set on.

I went to Tops at Ruimsig at 19:51pm on 20/02/18 and there was a special on Russian Bear vodka with 2 (440ml) plays and when we got to the till we were advised that the plays (440ml)did not arrive in the stock, why does Tops advertise something and then when you buy it you are advised that it is out of stock and never arrived on their deliveries, i find it to be highly unacceptable that they would keep the advert there, That is called false advertising and now i have to find myself buying the vodka for R109.99 where as i could have bought it for R119.00 with the plays, i do not appreciate such and I not impressed, I love buying at tops but if this is how you treat your customers it isn't the place to shop.

I bought a pair of jeans 19 October 2017 at your Mall of Africa Top Shop and have only worn it twice. But 20th October 2017 when I was pulling them up, they got torn and can't be worn anymore and I was extremely disappointed then I requested them to be exchanged or refunded . I called the store the lady I spoke to said I must come then I went to the shop because I was told I will get a new pair of jeans then I got there and the Lady I spoke to went to the back to get me a new jean while I was waiting a guy called Vuyo( manager) he told me that I won’t be receiving the new pair of jeans because I forced them on hence they tore, but I explained to him that I fitted the jeans in store the day I bought them. Then I tried contacting top shop brand on Facebook and they responded: “Hi there, feedback from head office states that this has been passed on to the ops team. Has a member of the team been in contact with you?” Then I said “no one has contacted me and I waited for someone to contact me but no one did , I wanted to wear my jeans so badly so I decided to take them to the tailor to be fixed which they were but when I tried them on again they tore for the second time. I have been a customer with the shop for years and never experienced such quality jeans. I have bought a couple of their jeans and they all still okay. I’m so disappointed on how I was treated and the manner in which the store manager spoke to me. I don’t know who to turn to now because this my hard earned money that I chose to sacrifice with their products.

I went to Topshop Menlyn for Black Friday. There was a dress i had been eyeing for a while and it was on sale but I wanted a size 8 and there was no size 8 on the rails so I went to enquire at the till if there was any chance of getting the right size dress. It was my lucky day because the lady (Athachia Mashele: name on my till slip)was about to give me the right size dress from a pile of clothes behind the counter when the lady at the next till said "no! That dress is for another customer". Now my issue is that I'm also a customer and I wanted to buy the dress immediately. How come the dress was kept aside for that customer? And how did they come about the decision to keep the dress for whoever. So I left my no.s with Atharchia that if the "special customer " does not come for the dress they must call me and I would come back for the dress....to no avail. When it was getting to 5pm and the shop still hadn't called I took the liberty to call myself and the lady I spoke to said they were very busy and she would get Atharchia to call me and nobody got back to me. Now I'm just wondering what time the customer came for the dress? If they came for it at all!? And why they deserved the special treatment of sale items being kept especially for them?!?
