On the 23rd of March, I was overcharged at the Machado Toll Plaza. I was supposed to pay a fee for a light vehicle: R122 but I was charged R704. I used my credit card to make the payment and I did not notice the overcharge. A few days later while going through my credit car statement, I noticed the overcharge. I called TRACN4 to request for a refund but I was told to white an email to helpdesk@tracn4.co.za. I did that on the 1st of April. My email was forwarded by MFrade@tracn4.co.za to other officials to assist me on the 2nd of April. Since then, it is almost two weeks now and there has been no commination, no one has responded to M Frade's email. I am in the dark and seriously need my refund.

This is dedicated to Ms. Siphiwe Ngcane based at the Nkomazi Toll Plaza who assisted me in a transaction query. Thank you Siphiwe for resolving my query efficiently and courteously. On 23 February 2024 I took the Chisa Lane at the Nkomazi toll gate. My tag gave a single ‘beep’ indicating to me that a transaction had been recorded. The gate failed to open. I had then to maneuver out and use a Toll Booth lane. The tag again gave a single ‘beep’ confirming to me that a second transaction had taken place. My query related to me understanding that I had incurred a double payment for passing the Nkomazi Toll. On the 26th February I queried the presumed ‘second payment’ with the supposed TRAC Help Line on 0800 726 725 and received poor service but a promise I would be contacted on the 27th with a report back. No report-back was forthcoming. I pursued the matter with the same agent on 5 March but again no satisfaction until Siphiwe Ngcane contacted me from the Nkomazi Toll Plaza itself. TRAC – your Help Line was of no help! Siphiwe you get FIVE STARS. Thank you.

Today I was traveling on the N4 towards Nelspruit and one of my tyres burst just before Milly's. I phoned the Trac Assist number and Maryna answered almost immediately. She was extremely helpful and kind and within 15 minutes the Trac Assist vehicle arrived. My spare tyre was up in no time. It is such a reassuring feeling to know that they really help you when in need.

On Friday, 07.07.2023, I was at the TRAC- office in Nelpruit (Mbombela) to get a new e-toll system. Two ladies at that office were very friendly and helpful to me . Thanks. As a client I want to mention these ladies as excellent people in service of a public institution.

The lady (I think her name was Patience) lane M*** Machado plaza made my day with a great smile and friendly demeanor. She does not have a wonderful exiting (probably not getting a large salary) but het friendliness made me happy to pay the toll fee.

It's very frustrating attempt paying with bank cards and the swipe machines fail repeatedly to complete the transaction. I've asked the tellers at the Trac N4 Middelburg Toll gate to report the problem but there's no improvement. Please assist.

I have sent them emails to no avail (with an assurance will revert in 72 hours!). There are 3 toll gates on the N4 between Johannesburg and Malelane. A large expanse of the road is (and has been for a very ,long time) under construction. In many places a single poorly surfaced road. On principle to charge toll fees when the route is in such a state of disrepair is blatantly not right.
