Rude cashier 2026.02.15 @ 16:35
I had a very bad experience with a lady who had a razor cut and eye glasses at OR Tambo on Sunday 2026 02 15 at 16:35 there were w ladies and a guy we needed to exchange rands to dollars she was rude she even uttered a sies word on me when i told her she was impatient with us I just don't remember her name but she had a razor cut hairstyle and glasses on.I am dissapointed with her bad customer service for a reputable company

Travelex is ****mers
What a bunch of ****mers. Menlyn store wanted to give me 84 cents to a rand for my Pulas. Pula is R1.23. They want to make 39c to a rand. And when you buy, you pay extra as well. Centurion branch did not even want to help. They told me admin fee is 50%. Ridiculous

Appaling service
I bought foreign currency for my son last year when he was travelling to Italy from a Foreign exchange branch in Ballito. My son went on his trip, while in Italy he lost his card that the money was loaded onto. Upon his return he called and got the card cancelled while it still had money on it. We've the most appalling experience trying to get the money back. We've visited the Ballito Branch countless times from Richard's Bay and we can't be assisted. We've been made to call a call centre where we get no help, last Saturday we told we would get an sms/email saying the matter has been resolved and money would be transferred into my son's account which hasn't happened. My son is Manqoba Nxele - 068 530 8516. Father Karabo Nxele - 078 634 6823

Appaling service

Bad service
The lady at the counter gave terrible service at the glen mall. She was laughing with people of her race but soon as I sat down her face changed and was very sour even way she spoke to me screemed lady get out of my face, this is so wrong is many ways. She asked me for proof of residency I didn't have a problem giving it to her I asked her if I could email it unfortunately my emails were on hold I don't know why cause other lady's email went without a hustle. I asked her to please wait for me to go get it in my car. Lord have mercy I ran to my car only to find the doors cloors it was not even 16:30 it was 16:25 managed to go in she went to shop kept me waiting how unprofessional. This is so sad.

Travelex South Africa - they lie to rip you off !
This is a real rip-off - just bought $AUD 1200 at OR Thambo International Airport and it was 8.6% higher than the official rate. I had made enquiries a couple of days before and was told that the commission would be only 2.1% if paid by cash and 4.6% if paid by card which surprised me originally. A clerk at the exchange office told me the same but charged me 4.6% of commission after cash payment. It looks like they deliberately train their staff to bluntly lie to their customers. Their official site doesn't mention any service fees and charges and it's done on purpose: https://www.travelex.co.za F...n bunch of bulls...ters !!! Just never trust and use them otherwise you will be ********** !!!
