I was there for a business breakfast for which about 50 breakfasts were ordered in advance. I am vegetarian and do not eat all the protein on a standard breakfast meal. They accommodated me and prepared an omelette, which I really appreciated.

Me and my partner went there for dinner and the manager Evan was extremely ******. He checked up on two tables between us even collected the glasses from one of the tables and not once checked up on on our table. Mind you we the table in between the two tables. I think it’s sad to be experiencing such in 2024 especially from a young manager.

I've requested MrD to fetch groceries for me from pick and pay Lynnwood on Hibiscus treat. Our order are always delivered incomplete. Only 8/11 items were delivered. ND pick and pay had claimed that they ran out of stock. 5 mins after delivery my partner and I walked into the shop and found those items to have been deliberately not packed. What was also worse from the delivery bags was rotten chicken whom pick pay packed for us. That's is actually why we went back to the shop to return their rotten goods. The management team was not showing any ampathy nor remorse of the incident. I have order almost three times at this pick and pay and always have an incomplete delivery pack

The T-bone that was served was poor Quality meat and untasteful. My wife was sick and still is after the seafood pasta meal she ate - we had to get medicine after our visit at a Restaurant, how is this acceptable for management and the owner? The waiter and a manager was made aware of this but nothing was done - how does this Restaurant protect the customer from this? Consumer Protection??? Please call me on 084 207 9522 to arrange a full refund, otherwise I will have to discuss this with the NCC

Breakfast at Tribeca in Lynwood Bridge. As usual the food is good. As usual the service is questionable, not bad, but nothing to brag about. Then a service fee of 10% is added to the bill. This is not standard in South Africa. Whilst paying I tell the waiter that I do not like this and that I would most probably have rounded the total resulting in more than 10% so the addition cost him a few rand. He asked me to inform the manager as this is a general complaint he receives. I told the manager about my concern but she was not interested. Just kept on repeating a well rehe****d story about the money being added to the personnels' pay slips so that they can claim more unemployment if there is another lockdown (which also results in them paying tax on their tips). She would also not answer my question if VAT was now also added to the service fee. All this while her face mask was slipping to her chin all the time as she was speaking and she was touching my arm all the time to emphasise her story. Not impressed. Luckily there are many other good restaurants just a few steps away.

I used to frequent Tribeca, Lynnwood Bridge before lockdown - the food is average and very expensive (salads cost R120. 00 - R150. 00 and a T-bone steak just under R200. 00) but their cappuccino is good and the setting idyllic. Outside seating in a pleasant setting and safe. So three of us popped in for a light lunch and a coffee today. The service was near non-existent and after waiting about 15 minutes we eventually got up and called a waiter. The drinks arrived promptly but three salads took far too long. The food was good. Our bill was close on R500. 00 and included a 10% service fee. While I am more than happy to tip for good service I find it rather arrogant to add a 10% service fee without warning customers. So after many visits over the past ten years I have had my last meal at Tribeca. I will vote with my wallet.
