Versofy Solar
Based on recent customer reviews, Versofy Solar receives praise for smooth installations, professional onboarding, and knowledgeable sales consultants. However, a significant portion of customers report severe frustrations with after-sales service, including unresponsive support teams, unresolved billing discrepancies, and prolonged delays in fixing faulty systems. Recurring complaints highlight a lack of communication and accountability once installations are complete. Several customers also flag a lack of transparency around geyser connections and contract terms. Satisfied long-term clients commend the system performance and proactive monitoring, but negative experiences heavily outweigh positive ones.

I am sharing my experience with Versofy Solar as a warning to other consumers considering a solar rental agreement. I currently have multiple systems installed through them, including one on a property I recently sold. As part of the sale process, I required a valid Certificate of Compliance (CoC) for the solar installation, which remains owned by Versofy Solar while I continue to pay monthly rental. Despite repeated attempts to obtain assistance from November 2025, I received no meaningful support. I was ultimately forced to appoint an independent electrician and incur approximately R35,000 in costs to bring the system into compliance. The most serious issue identified during this process was that the solar installation did not have proper earthing in place. This had to be installed from scratch in order to achieve compliance and obtain a valid CoC. Earthing is a fundamental and non-negotiable requirement for electrical safety and compliance. The absence of it raises serious concerns about the original installation and the validity of the initial sign-off. In addition to the earthing issue, further corrective work was required to ensure the system met compliance standards. What is particularly concerning is that: Versofy Solar retains ownership of the system. The customer continues to pay monthly rental. Yet when compliance issues arise, the responsibility and cost fall on the customer. This creates a significant imbalance of risk. This is not an isolated issue, as I have experienced similar challenges across more than one installation. I have now escalated this matter further and would strongly advise anyone considering a solar rental model to fully understand who carries responsibility for compliance, safety, and cost before signing. Based on my experience, the exposure may be far greater than expected.

Mom and I app**** for Versofy Solar in November, and we qualified for a special they were running. First payment is only due end of February 2026. December 2025 and January 2026 the payment went off and I have been sending emails to query this matter. A sales consultant phoned me once to say my December 2025 would be refunded and still nothing. Now the January 2026 payment has also been deducted. How is this possible?

I can personally recommend Versofy Solar. The entire experience runs smoothly and professional, from quotation to support, maintenance, billing, absolutely every aspect. I'm about 22 months into my contract and haven't had a day of regret yet

Versofy Solar Android App hasn't worked for at least 2 months and the company has not even bothered to notify their clients. If you phone the company all you get is 'yes we know, we are working on it. Poor service from Versofy

Hi I’m Jolandi Flugel. I have a rental solar system with Versofy solar. Trust me when I say this. They are the worst when it comes to customer service. 1 st incident. My batteries won’t charge. Log a fault on the group chat that everyone important is on. No reply for 3 days. Send a email. In the morning get a replay late the evening. Takes a week for them to sort the issue out. So after issue is sorted out. I have some faith in them to ad more pannels and batteries. One day after installation is complete. The whole system does not work properly. Discharges from a 100% to 50% in 4hrs then to 0% in 3 seconds. And this is running a 16kw battery pack. So I take screenshots and send them on I get told to monitor it and so I do. Eventually they say they need to come out. Make arrangements to take a day off work the Tuesday just to get told they not coming anymore. When do they come 3 weeks later. Takes them 2 days to fix. To date 4 December 2025 @ 13:00. 16:30 my system that was fixed has the same problem with the simular error it had from the start of my 1 log and still discharged from 98% to 47% by it self but I’m running completely from the grid. Oh and guess what they still deducted the new premium for the extra equipment even though I have not have use of my batteries for almost a full month and to make matter wors they double debited me. Said they would refund me shortly that was the morning and send pop. Never did and had to call the bank to reverse the one amount and pay for the charges due to there negligence and incompetence. So people of South Africa. If you looking at going the Versofy way. Please don’t. This is definitely not the 1st time I have had terrible service experience from a them. I have never in my life had such terrible service experience. No one has even had the decency to call and offer a discount or paid me back any sort of refund as my system is NOW WORKING

I currently have two solar installations with Versofy. Based on this existing relationship, Versofy recommended using a third-party service provider, Grunlite, to complete the SSEG application for one of my installations. This third party service provider advised that they required usage data from Versofy to accurately complete the submission to Eskom. On 4 November 2025—over a month ago—I formally requested Versofy to release this information. Since then, despite multiple follow-ups, absolutely nothing has been actioned. Between Mia and Lerato, I have received no explanation, no updates, and no basic courtesy of communication regarding why my usage data has still not been released. Emails go unanswered. Requests for clarity are ignored. After three separate weekly calls, I have been told repeatedly by the Key Account Manager, Lerato, that she will “check with support and come back to me,” yet she never follows through. When I requested to speak to her manager, I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, only to be told the manager was unavailable. I further requested contact from the Head of Technical, and once again, nothing happened. No call. No email. No accountability. No apology. For a private company trying to build trust in a competitive and growing solar market, this level of service is unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly pathetic. It raises serious concerns about whether Versofy has the internal competence or operational capacity to support its clients beyond the point of sale. If this is the standard of customer support Versofy deems acceptable, I will have no choice but to consider terminating my relationship with the company and seeking legal advice regarding breach of contract. Clients cannot be left stranded for weeks due to internal inefficiencies and unresponsive Key Account Managers. Let me be clear: I am posting this publicly because no senior representative from Versofy has bothered to contact me, acknowledge the problem, or attempt any form of resolution. This silence speaks volumes. Unless Versofy urgently rectifies this matter and demonstrates meaningful customer service, I will make it known across relevant consumer platforms and industry forums that the brand does not uphold even the most basic standards of customer care.

Versofy’s after-sales service has been one of the worst I’ve encountered. I never expected a commercial company to be even more inefficient than even the Post Office of old but the nighmare and frustration arising from their total lack of after sales service and accountability surpasses even that of the Post Office. While they were quick to install the system, and it has been working, this weekend the system has been defective and is only producing only a fraction of the expected power. I reported it immediately, but the support experience has been shockingly poor. No feedback. No troubleshooting. No one willing or able to pick up the phone and actually discuss the issue. All I want is a functioning system and a clear update on when and how they plan to fix the problem, yet there is a total lack of urgency, accountability or willingness on their part to even try and remedy, let alone rectify the issue, is totally unacceptable. I certainly cannot recommend to anyone looking for a solar solution provider to use their service, In fact I would avoid them at all cost.
