Good day, I had a rather interesting dining experience last night with friends, and I say this as someone who is not new to dining at your establishment (breakfast, lunch, dinner, sunday buffet, private event... I have done all of these). My friend first introduced me to four seasons when he booked a dinner for my birthday, I was thoroughly impressed with the service that I have turned into a regular and even converted friends into picking Four Seasons as their preferred provider. We arrived yesterday for lunch and the following really left a sour taste in our mouths: 1. We were seated by the host (very friendly) who then left us. Our waitress didn't introduce herself, did not give us water glasses until we requested them. She overall seemed very "bored" to be assisting us. I got up, looking for the host, only to be met by a lovely lady named Tumi. I asked Tumi if we can get a different waitress because we are happy jolly people and definitely do not want to be served by someone who seems like they just can't wait to knock off. Tumi said she would change tables (not verbatim), this did not happen at all, nor did it seem like our waitress was briefed on our unhappiness with her service. At some point the waitress told us she would be taking a break and handed us over to a gentleman who was quite helpful until his shift was done. 2. My friend noted that her squids were too salty and requested extra mayo... Jay initially told us that the chefs said no, because there isn't any left. We asked that the chef come taste how spicy the squids were, Jay said he will revert with feedback... which he did, suddenly there was extra mayo 3. I could not order the oysters or the tuna taco because it was not available. What is the point of changing a menu and not having the items ready? We were told that the chefs were prepping for dinner, as a customer that has booked lunch, I do not care. If you have a menu, at least have most stuff available unless if the lunch customers aren't important to you. 4. My mac n cheese was macaroni and watery sauce, nothing to write home about. My friends t-bone tasted way better than my mac n cheese, prawns and burrger combined. I must say though that dessert was definitely worth the wait 5. I will give a large compliment to a gentleman named Mulalo. Everytime I drive in, that man greets you with a smile and is always helpful. 6. On our way down, we waited quite a bit for one of the cars to come by and get us (not the first time that we wait and wait while down there). Surely there is a way for the restaurant to call reception and alert them that people are coming down and need to be escorted back to their cars? It can't be that hard. The host that saw us out was quite cold. Your establishment has a mix of hosts and staff that are friendly and go the extra mile and then the other bit that just seems forever irritated... not a good look and quite uncomfortable for one to have to interact with such people. Overall, my experience was underwhelming that we went to Pantry and KFC to get food afterwards. I hope to be met with a better experience when I return next month :)

We checked in on Thursday 21-03-24 and checked out on Sunday morning 24-03-4 with my husband and 2 children. Booked the family room. Ohh my word, it was such an amazing place . Once you enter the hotel, feels like you are in another tranquil and peaceful place with just nature surrounding you. And not Johannesburgh, lol. The views of just nature from the room to the restaurant views was amazing and so calming. The whole 5 star treatment was just value for your money. The whole staff was just so kind, warm and so welcoming. Thank you for such a wonderful holiday gateway we just had on our anniversary weekend . The whole facility is just amazing. The food from breakfast to dinner, and room dining . Divine. The chefs knows how to make great food.. Love how the hotel is so family friendly yet so classy.

The food is Perfection. Great service. Great atmosphere. Ideal place for that romantic scene with a beautiful view over the Johannesburg skyline, especially in the evenings. Would I recommend? DEFINATELY :)

Last night i went to the flames restaurant for a friends birthday dinner (08/03). When we got there we were served with drinks and starters and placed our orders for main meals. We waited over an hour for our food to be served and noticed our table was being neglected and was told that our food would be late over and above the hour we already waited. When the food arrived it arrived cold and one meal was rushed and cooked which looked very watery so we sent our meals back to the kitchen, having to wait longer. We then realised another table was waiting for 2 hours for their meal and was told certain items on the menu was out of stock. One of the meals ordered had actually made a friend throw up and he was not able to eat his meal and was off sick from work the next day. After chatting to the other table it was noted that 3 of the chefs resigned 4 days ago, which really was unacceptable for a fine dining restaurant to not have chef's available and then to serve food which actually made their customers sick, although some of the meals were taken off the bill, a persons health and safety should be a restaurants main priority and if they were not able to handle capacity then guests should have been informed upfront. This was the most disappointing experience i have ever had at a fine dining restaurant and no guests should be eating there if they become sick and dont have appropriate chefs cooking the meals.

I went to the Grill restaurant for dinner, the place is beautiful and has a great view but that's pretty much all they have going for them. Their services is lacking, they were clearing short staffed and food is really not worth the amount charged. I had their salmon meal and my friend had lamb chops, worst meals we've ever eaten in our lives. No one even bothered to check if we were happy with our meals. ****tails were Great though, I'd only recommend this place for ****tails and great ambiance.

My name is Lettie Sekgapane. I am a 34 year old female, currently uneployment. I worked for Four seasons Westcliff hotel in 2015 and resigned in November 2016. In December 2016, i started enquiring with the above mentioned company about my pension funds. In 2017 October i followed up concerning the issue, constantly contacting the HR manager, but was informed that the HR offical had resigned and i should send new pension claim forms to reapply. On the 5th of March 2018 i personally went to the company to refill in the forms for my reapplication as i was requested to and was given the assurance that the forms will be sent to the pension fund company (MNG PENSION FUND COMPANY). Today, the 5th of April i telephonically contacted MNG company to find out the progress on my claim, and i was shocked to learn that the company has never received any of my stated claims. It is with disbelief and shock that there are companies who still treat ex employees in this kind of manner. What is more disgusting is when i was informed that the person who was helping me resigned, this means the company has no systems in place which deal with matters that concern their employees pension funds. I hope this complaint will be treated with utmost importance and urgency it needs after 2 years post resignation, from the company.
