I tried to see if they were interested in buying my late father's furniture, they said they weren't able to offer me anything but I was welcome to donate the items to help the community. I had just lost my father and didn't feel like dealing with a load of people coming and haggling, and my father was a good man so I thought to save the hassle I would donate it to them to help people out. As they are listed as a charity. I stupidly assumed the furniture would be donated to people who needed it within the community. I then see it all advertised, a complete total of R8880. I asked where this money would go, would it go to charity, I was told no, they tried to explain that helping the community was by offering cheaper furniture. And acted like I should be grateful they came and took it for free, as I explained I could've advertised it anywhere for free and people would've taken it for free. If I'd known it would be just to line their pockets and add to their profit margin I would never have donated it to them, I would've rather given it to a real charity. Or i wouldve just tried selling it myself as my dad left behind lots of debt. Very misleading and will never deal with them again. I have brought from them as well, and found one couch leg had just been hammered in with numerous nails which was never disclosed. So if you think your donation to them is going to help anyone, please rethink and find a real charity. I just wish I had double checked where the furniture was going before giving it to them. Suppose it's my fault I didn't do more research.

Quick Cash Option is a **** to Consumers If you wish to sell your furniture or belongings, please stay away from 2nd Hand Warehouse Montague Gardens. On their website, they advertise a Quick Cash option which is a **** to sellers and once they have your furniture in their possession, they will leave you high and dry without your money. I received an offer from them to purchase my suade blue couch. I accepted the offer digitally and they collected my couch. I'm supposed to be paid yet no one has even bothered to contact me from the store to get my banking details. It's day two now of the so called "1-2 days Quick Cash Option" and I still have not received my Quick Cash. What makes me even more livid is that the watsapp agent who monitors and responds to customer queries via their watsapp platform informed me yesterday at 10 am that she/he would get the finance department to contact me and resolve the matter. No one contacted me after that chat. Only to wake up this morning with two insulting messages from 2nd Hamd Warehouse "thanking me for my patience". This is extremely unacceptable. Consumers rights are being trampled on after falling for false advertising of Quick Cash. The only reason I even opted to sell my couch was because I am relocating to Johannesburg on Thursday and this gross treatment has left me appaulled.

I am highly annoyed with the service received especially considering that I opted for the Quick Cash option, meaning (and according to the website) the funds will be in your account within 1-2 days after selling your items. Now my items were collected on Wednesday and for the past 3 days the only feedback received was that my items were in processing and I will get feedback soon. You ask for a callback and you get an email to say that your items are in processing... Had I known this on Tuesday, I would never have opted to sell my items to 2nd Hand Warehouse. I will not be using your services again and will also not be recommending your services either

Unfortunately my previous post was deleted. Please make sure when buying from the 2ndhandwarehouse in Montegue Gardens that your purchase is checked for damages. I would suggest going through and viewing the goods. Unfortunately I received damaged items and was not able to return without a cost to me. I did not receive good after sales service. One cannot speak to a manager as its against their company policy. At the end of the day, I'm sitting with damaged goods, paid double delivery fee and no refund.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER BUYING FROM THE 2NDHANDWAREHOUSE MONTEGUE GARDENS!!!!!! I bought 6 x chairs and a dining room table online. I unfortunately made seperate purchases online. When I called about the delivery I mentioned this and was told they would look into it. I'm still waiting for my refund for the double delivery fee when everything came on one vehicle at the same time! When my delivery arrived, I noticed 3 of the 6 chairs where damaged. I was told to contact the warehouse. THIS WAS WHERE MY NIGHTMARE STARTED! I phoned the 2nd Hand Warehouse the very next morning. For hours no one answered the phone. I then resorted to the WhatsApp forum. I dealt with Wallace. For 3 days he kept me waiting for answers on the collection of the damaged chairs. Also confirmation of a refund. I had sent pictures which were dated. I had sent purchase orders with proof of the double delivery fee. Eventually on the Tuesday I was told collection would be made on the Wednesday (today). I was also told I would be charged for the collection of the damaged goods they sent me. At this point I absolutely lost it. I cancelled the collection. This company operates with absolutely NO ETHICS! In my opinion and experience THEY ARE *******. THEY ALSO FALSELY ADVERTISE GOODS. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!

Advise to second-hand warehouse: maybe implement a better pricing system... I am still waiting here, 32 mins later, as their current system is taking a photo of the item and post it on a WhatsApp group that seems to not work. Apparently the boss can only give a price but this boss doesn't seem reachable. Silly system. Just price your goods properly before putting them on the floor.

Worst company to deal with. They were eager and quick to collect our couches to sell on consignment, but once those couches left the problems started. Two of the three pieces were sold. We tried to follow up on the remaining item and could never get hold of them. Drove through to them to get information, then the person we needed to talk to was not available. Months down the line got hold of them full of excuses and promises. In the end, the 3 couches we should have received R3000 - 20% commission for, we are walking out with nothing because of some storage fee, which could have been resolved if they bothered to communicate. Only explanation id *******.
