In October 2023 I got hijacked and I logged a claim with my then insurance (Affinity Insurance) the claim was referred to AAA Claims company and was handled by (Thabile Khaba), who did the assessment and approved me for R167 000.00 which I rejected, I was advised of the following Excess(s). A. Basic Motor Excess payable in the event of fire, accident, theft, or hi-jacking Private Use. 5% of claim minimum R 5000.00 E. Motor additional: Accident between 9PM and 4AM 25% of claim minimum R 10 000.00 Keeping in mind the above additional excess talks about accident and I was hijacked, I was not involved in an accident. I disputed the offer and I was given excuses the matter ended up being referred to Ombuds. Later a consultant by the name (Brandon Olinger) sent me another offer of R107000.00 dated Fri, Mar 15, 3:42 PM when I question where does the offer come from and what other excess was added, I received no response, its been a month of me trying to get information on how was the offer was calculated, I logged a complaint with Affinity insurance and no feedback no communication received nothing from this companies, its been 6 months since I got hijacked and still paying my monthly premium, but I had insurance that was supposed to be looking after me in such cases. the service at both AAA Claims Company & Affinity Insurance is a disgrace

On 2024/03/18 I called Affinity insurance to claim for a key replacement. I was then referred to AAA Claims Company. My claim was registered by Zelna then I was told to submit damage report, quote and three months bank statement. The reason for requesting the bank statements is for them to check if my premiums are paid they said. How is this possible? Clearly they can check in the system if my policy is paid or not. How is it possible that if I do not submit my three month bank statements then my policy wont be processed. That is holding me ransom for administration which is blatantly unreasonable. The confidence level in this companies had drastically reduced. I spoke with Zelna and Nonhlanhla telephonically, they were rude and could not explain the logic behind the request for the bank statements stating that that's how it works, if I don't like it I must complain. So much for customer service. I then spoke with Brandon whom tried to explain how it should make sense that my three month bank statement is a minimum requirement when claiming, saying that, they can not rely on the information provided to them by Affinity regarding policies, yet they are still doing business together. The relation between Affinity and AAA Claims Company can not be at my inconvenience. On 2024/03/20 I laid a complaint with Affinity regarding the administration of my claim, on 2024/03/22 I received correspondence from Affinity saying that I must give them time to investigate. How much time this investigation will take I do not know.

I logged a claim and they were happy to assist me however the 3rd part has been given the run around. They are now also only willing to pay half the value of the repair without an explanation. Repeated emails, calls & messages left have been ignored totally. Terrible customer service when you can get a hold of them. The issues still has not been resolved now the 3rd party is threatening legal action.

We took the car insurance policy with AAA Claims Company who is working with New National Assurance Company, when we were buying the car and we got referred by the sales representative from the car dealership to this insurance. I had a car accident on the 19/08/2023, it was on the Saturday morning. After the accident we tried to call all contact numbers for AAA Claims and we did not find anyone. The breakdown came to the scene to provide assistance and we tried to find the insurance together, but could not reach them. Because the breakdown company was legit and registered to tow insurance companies, the I decided to allow them to tow the car to their yard. On Monday morning, we final get hold of the insurance company to register the claim. The insurance told us that the car must move from Merrivale (Where the accident happened) to Fenesse Panel beater in Durban, and such must on our cost because they did not authorised the tow from the accident scene. We requested that can it be taken to Pietermaritzburg because it closer to us and there are many panel beaters there. They refused, they wanted us to take the car to Durban. Then we finally pay for the car to be transported to Durban to be accessed and to be repaired. When the car got to Durban, we were informed that the car is a write off. They proceeded with the investigation and we provided all the information they wanted. After there investigation, the Letter from New National Assurance Company sent by AAA Claims which was rejecting the claim and instructing us to go and collect the car by Mandos. Failing to do such we will be facing with R285 cost per for storage fee. Then we quickly went to collect the car to Mandos When we got to Mandos yard, they brought the car to us. The car was stripped at the front and stripped part were packed in the car. We notice the spare wheel, wheel removing kit and other head lamp were not in the car. The Manage from Mandos told us that the those were kept in safe place because it very late and they are closing, they will send it tomorrow morning by the courier. On the following day morning the Panel beating shop in Pietermaritzburg told us that the right hand side drive shaft, Bonnet Lockers and front lock nuts are not in the car, we must quickly tell Mandos to bring it through together with spare wheel and wheel removing kit. Mandos refuse to send the missing part to us and we decided to inform AAA Claims about this matter. AAA Claim were keep on dodging to address the matter, up until we decided to report the matter to OSTI (Ombudsman for Short Term Insurance) for futher assistance. It is very sad and disappointing that till up to date, no part has been sent to us. AAA Claim together with New Nation Assurance Company now are not taking to be accountable missing the missing part because the matter is with OSTI. Mandos has been requested several times to send the parts. Till today they have not sent anything. It is clear that those parts were ****** by Mandos and they are enjoying the protection of New Nation Assurance Company together with AAA Claims. We have fixed the car on our won now but we still find it difficult to buy missing parts which was stole by insurance working associate. These parts are costing us almost R30 000.00 without installation of the drive shaft. I am writing this review about my experience with these car insurance companies because worst pain I ever experienced about having the insurance policy with AAA Claims and New National Assurance Company Limited and We humble request the assistance to resolve this problem. Thank you

AAA claims company has been taking me from pillar to post, since my accidental claim with them in September 2022. My claim was paid out out in 2022, and my recovery of the excess deducted of the payout of my claim was still in process. I was then advised by their consultant last year November that my recovery was finalised and I should send my banking details for a refund, I did as requested and to date nothing has been communicated with me, I make follow ups every week through phone calls and emails but there is no response from their consultants. I filed for a complaint and still nothing is happening.

Had an accident on the 20th of August, till today the 19th of September my claim hasn't been processed. The car was written off . A loss adjuster was sent through to investigate, now apparently they have to appoint another expert because " they didn't find what they were looking for" and I have never intentionally missed even a single payment. I don't have a car and I am struggling to travel to and from work, yet I paid the insurance for my convenience and still have to pay for a car that is not there anymore, because their experts cannot do their work. I would advise no one to even try this sham of an insurer, I am shocked and appalled by how I am being treated.
