I am not sure where I am going to get assistance because I called customer care, the guy I spoke to said they will look into it but there is no record or reference or anything to show that my query was logged. We have been charged R2 278,33 just for water and worse we barely have hot water in this unit. How can 3 people use this much water in a space of one month. I need someone to assist me because I cannot pay R8000 just for rent, how am I going to survive for the rest of the month? Please escalate this matter for me. Unit no 823 Jeppe Post Office.

Worst property management company ever They have zero maintenance on the apartments then charge you crazy amounts of money once you move out for normal wear and tear And then after that still won’t pay back the remaining amount of your deposit These people are the worst and customer service?? Zero stars they have no customer service at all

I was dealing with an agent by the name of Nomonde. I enquired on a property she made me send my payslips and bank statements then ghost you comes back days later to tell you the property is no longer available

Afhco is the worst property company.i lost my job in January.I went to afhco to inform them on time. I provided all the necessary documents whilst applying for UIF & Provided fund. I requested a payment arrangement. We all know that UIF takes time. Even though I had lost my job my partner and I made sure that we pay rent no matter how difficult it was we made sure that we pay rent. Our electricity was switched off numerous times even after making an arrangement. Few weeks I was locked out early in the morning. I was told by security to leave our apartment with no plan . Imagine leaving your house with no where to go? You guys lack humanity and your service is terrible. When I went to the afhco I was told that I am a problematic tenant even though I was paying well before I lost my job. As I am writing this my electricity is off , without warning. A week ago I went to the office they said they will terminate my lease and I was called a ****!! Do you guys think that we wanted to be in this situation? Do you think it's fun for someone to loose thier job?? If you ever terminate our lease make sure that you pay my full deposit. I am so disgusted by your terrible service.

Pathetic customer service. My unit at Northgate Heights was blocked due to rental arrears, and I was not even allowed access to collect my chronic medication from the unit. To make matters worse, the locks were changed in my absence without any form of notification or communication. The staff in the office were highly unprofessional and showed no empathy or willingness to assist in resolving the situation.

Afhco has cut off power of tenants for non payment of missing rent for weeks or a few days and as a first responder was shocked when i found out one of the patients was not even a month behind just a few weeks. They need to be reported for this, we understand that some tenants have rent due but taking away a basic need as pressure to make them pay is inhumane. Will definitely alert the high authorities on this matter.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the treatment I have received from AFCHO Property Management. My electricity and lights have been switched off despite payment being made, and I have proof of payment available. This ongoing behavior of cutting off tenants’ electricity and locking people out feels abusive, ********, and completely unacceptable. Tenants cannot simply be deprived of basic services or locked out without following proper legal procedures and obtaining a court order. This conduct goes against tenants’ rights and creates unnecessary emotional and financial stress. I have reached a point where I no longer feel safe or respected as a tenant under AFCHO Property Management. Due to this continued mistreatment, I will now be escalating this matter to the Rental Housing Tribunal for further investigation and intervention. I hope AFCHO begins treating tenants fairly, professionally, and within the law because no tenant deserves to be treated this way. I cannot wait to move out of this sh*t hole of a place

Despite making efforts to engage and resolve matters professionally, I was subjected to what I believe was an abuse of rental management powers, including ******** ************ tactics, being locked out of my unit, and having my electricity interrupted in a manner that caused severe distress and inconvenience. No tenant should be subjected to constructive eviction, humiliation, or pressure tactics that undermine their dignity and basic rights to access essential services and peaceful occupation of their home. The handling of my matter lacked fairness, empathy, professionalism, and proper dispute resolution processes. What is even more concerning is the ongoing delays and poor communication regarding inspections, deposits refunds, and updates to my rental profile on TPN despite repeated follow-ups. Tenants deserve transparency, lawful conduct, and respectful treatment — not coercion and disregard. I strongly urge AFHCO management to review the conduct of their customer service and enforcement procedures to ensure compliance with South African rental housing laws and consumer protection standards. I would advise prospective tenants to carefully consider how disputes and tenant concerns are handled before entering into agreements with Them.
