we were notified that AVIOS programme was closing at the end of May. I phoned AVIOS to determine what to do to continue earning miles. I was given the following responses following two seperate phone calls. the calls were monitored, hopefully they can be traced. First one: AVIOS credit cards will be moved over to BA Credit Cards and they were in process with reissuing the BA credit cards, just wait till further notice Second one: AVIOS programme no longer cancelled, continuing as before I recall a third phone call that the call centre agent said it was only the end of May. But there may have been a misunderstanding here, so not confident. Another phone call (I made many) I was told that the miles would automatically be transferred and no further action required. Again potential misunderstanding HOWEVER, the fact remains that since 6 April I have not earned a single AVIOS/BA mile. I deliberately spend on my card instead of EFT etc. in order to gain miles. I even bought a plane ticket this month for the same reason. I am sure you understand why I am appropriately upset and feel lied to. misled and defrauded by both ABSA and AVIOS. Worse still is the passing of the buck between AVIOS/ABSA?BA call centres. All of whom tell me it's not their problem and to phone the other.

Avios together with Kulula claim that you can exchange your Avios credit for Kulula Travelbank credit. You have to link your Avios number to your Kulula Travelbank account to do so. However, even if you are logged into the Avios website and you go to 'Save money with Kulula', it first asks you to login to Kulula, then again into Avios. When you try to login to Avios for the second time the response from Avios is that it hasn't recognized you. This happens even if you are logged into Avios on another tab in your browser! I have reported this to both Kulula and to Avios and each blames the other! Frankly, this just comes across as lies in advertising. Why do you (Avios) say that this is possible when you make it impossible to claim (your soon to be non-existent credit)?

It seems as if the entire program no longer works I've been advised that the program is closing down and the points need to be spent but I cannot log onto the site and the call centre number doesn't work anymore!!! What's going on???

Good day I received an email stating the Avios Rewards Program will come to an end. It gave me an option of transferring my Avios points to my BA Executive Club account, however this is not possible as for some reason the link does not work. I have been phoning +27214 277 555 and it's either no one picks up or it says to phone back during office hours. I am phoning during office hours and no one picks up!! I do find this very unfairly as I have only refueled at a BP and the only choice you give me is to transfer my points to a BA Executive Club account. Sadly I do not see myself flying anywhere in the near future and therefore I feel you as the Avios Group should give an option to transfer my points to a Pick 'n Pay Smart Shopper account as this would be more rewarding for me. In essence it sounds like you as BP and Avios just made money out of clients and now you stop a rewards program where you do not compensate your customers fairly. Hence I feel Avios should reward their loyal customers to give them an option either the points back in monetary value or Pick n Pay Smart Shopper points. I do sincerely hope someone will call me back. Warm regards Francois ********** **********

I made a hotel booking on Saturday 27th October via the Avios website, for Sunday 28th. There was a co-payment, which i paid and it came off my account immediately. However, when i arrived at the Hotel, I was informed that no reservation was made and that there was no communication from Avios. Up to this point, I am unable to establish any telephonic contact with Avios in Cape Town

I tried booking tickets for the Lion Park on the travel rewards program website. Something went wrong during the booking process right at the end after typing in my credit card details, and then I got redirected to the main page. There is now no booking whatsoever, but a double debit off my Avios credit card for the booking I tried to make totaling to R1460. I inquired on the FB page and was then asked to call ********** which I did and held on for 15 minutes after which I gave up because it's costing me even more money to sort out the *****-up on behalf of Avios' booking website. Please contact me urgently to sort out and reverse the debits on my Avios credit card!
