How is it that THEE reputable brand BMW can provide their customers with such pathetic service? I was in car accident on the 2nd January this year, and because BMW only allow BMW to fix their cars, I only received my “fixed” car 5 weeks later. Any other panel beater off the street could’ve done a better job on my car. Twice I went to collect my car, and twice I had to leave without my car. Clubmotors Randburg supposedly does all checks and quality assurance before calling customers to collect their vehicles, but upon simple inspection by me, I don’t see how the car passed, or are the standards at BMW just that low now? 5 weeks for a new exhaust and a few scratches, when I was promised 10 working days after all parts were received. After insisting they now deliver my car to me after messing me around for over a month, they deliver my car with the front and back BMW emblems on skew. The very thing that’s supposed to say “Sheer Driving Pleasure” and it’s not on properly. And no one there noticed this?? Not to mention that when my car went in, it had all it’s badging, when I got it back, it had been stripped of it all. Nevermind the paint splashes left on my back window and the horrible touch ups that looked like tipex. This is the ****ty, unprofessional workmanship and service I’m paying for?? Am I not supposed to be paying for a “premium” brand?? My car sounds like a piece of s**** with all the rattling, and to top it off, Clubmotors couldn’t even connect my battery properly, which I found out a week later when my car just wouldn’t start and I was once again left stranded. Amateur, unprofessional and disgusting. This is what I’ve come to think of BMW service. I drove an Audi before this, and am I sorry I ever left them to be treated like this. When I reported this to BMW SA, all they did was give me a case number and tell me they’d contact me in 24 hours. It’s been 8 days and I’ve still heard nothing. This whole experience has been shocking to say the least. BMW – you should be ashamed. That’s how I feel when I get into my car now.

There is no need to get into the details because complaints fall on deaf ears. The dealers are making way too much money to care.

BMW SA are mandated to repair cars as cheaply as possible even if it means reducing performance via software, and dealers will do as little as possible while the car is under warranty. But the moment the car comes out of warranty then all the problems surface.

At the end of the day, this is a business and business is all about maximizing profit.

Needless to say, I will never buy a BMW again. But this is probably the 100th time today that someone has said that.

I was at a Tyre place on Friday sorting out a problem BMW could not identify. I will after this send the trail of my events, but the reson for this messagee today is that Club Motors Randburg had firstly left one of my lock nuts from my car, returned to have this replaced, when I needed to remove them the lock nuts would not budge...

After having a list of problems or an open case I called BMWSA as the guys at CluB Motors had left early friday already. Waiting for almost two hours for On call to come fix the mess up after being promised they had dispatched a techinician and will arrive within 30-45 min. Today is the next business day no call from BMWSA, no call on Friday to find out if I was back on the road, and my car driving without lock nuts at the moment.....

So tell me do you guys care???????

I recently purchased a used Renault Megane GT220 from the abovementioned dealer.

I picked up the vehicle, and did not know that is should come with a SD card that enables the navigation system. All vehicles in its range come with one and it is valued at just over R4 700.

Once I gained this information, I contacted the dealer and enquired about the SD card, they advised me that they would see what they could do and I should provide them with a quote.

Once I provided them with the quote, obtained from a Renault dealer, they advised that this was not their problem and they could not assist, as they did not know what I had done with the vehicle since delivery.

Let us look at the possibilities here:

Assumption 1 (I have the card): Let's assume I had the card, I would have absolutely nothing to gain from aquiring a second one for my personal use, nor is there much of a market for these items as the vehicle should come with it in the first place.

Assumption 2 (it was stolen from my vehcile): Firstly, this is highly improbable since I have not even had the vehicle washed or left it unattended with anyone at this point, but for arguments sake, lets forget that. Should someone have broken into my vehicle, they surely would have taken other valuables such as my wallet etc. so it is highly unlikely that someone broke into my car with the sole purpose of stealing an SD card that is unique for the vehicle.

I am sure you can see my frustration with this incident now. I feel very let down by the dealer. Essentially, their negligence is costing me a fair amount of money.

Kind regards

Duncan

I am not a customer that complains, however i feel the need to with the service i have received from BMW Club Motors Randburg.

I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership, so i am a loyal customer.

The last two instances that I had with this dealership, i sent my vehicle in with petrol, both times i received my vehicle with 2km range left. This is unacceptable. To make matters worse i had a pair of sunglasses, and a usb plugged in. My car was returned without these items. In addition, one of the main reasos i sent my car in was to repair a noise that the car was making when accelerating. The technicians could not pick up a noise. I video recorded the issue and sent it via email. This email has not been responded to.

I understand that valuables must be taken out the car prior to sending the vehicle in, but i did not expect a USB to be taken out my car. Empty bottles were left in my car, so why is it that other items are not left in the car.

I have expressed my dissatisfaction when i was called about a follow up. No one has bothered to attend to me.

The service i have received so far, is not what i expected from a BMW dealership.

I bought a second hand BMW 320d from club motors.
The hand brake is not working.
I notified Bongani about it.
He said he would arrange to get it fixed.
I also queried about my license disc.
This will be the second week that I am driving the car without a disc.
He did contact me and said my disc should be ready by Monday at 1:00pm and that he would call to confirm.
I did not receive any call and when I call him back today he stated that I said I would call him.
I said no such thing neither did I promise to come through.
I was expecting a call to confirm that the disc has arrived.
I called to say I would come today but unfortunately they cannot sort my car out today.
I reported this fault a week ago but I guess my car does not get preference because it is out of warranty.
Also while I was still talking to Bongani he hung up the phone on me.
Now I am not sure if this is normal but I can say that this is not my first car and I have had excellent service from other car dealers including Audi Boksburg, from which i bought a car just 6months ago.

I always loved the BMW Brand but I must say I am utterly disgusted and disappointed in the after sales service I have receive

I left my car for fixing on 4 Jan and the key worked well. Now i am fetching my car and the key is not working. I reported this and was mainly ignored but told about a battery. I am unhappy with this as now I am driving around with the car that cannot lock. This is a huge risk on my side!!! Also to mention I was ignored when I was raising this. Youssouf decided to help another customer instead of addressing my issue.
