I have had shockingly bad service from Kia in Somerset West after booking my car in for an early January annual service before returning to work. My car, a 2023-model Kia Sonet, was at Kia Somerset West on 6 January 2026 k for its third annual service. I specifically requested that they rotate the tyres, and also look at the battery health and see what was wrong with it. (I have had a few experiences where the car simply won't start. My husband took it to Kia a few months ago and was told there was nothing wrong, yet I continued to experience the problem. I was called before 12:00 on Tuesday 6/01/2026 to say the car's service was completed. When I went to Kia to collect my car after 14:00 and inquired about the tyres and the battery I was told that: * The tyres could not be rotated because they needed to do the alignment too. Yet NOBODY PHONED ME to ask me if they could go ahead and do this. I would, of course, have said yes and gladly paid for it. * Re the battery, I was told that the battery was at 20% and that they would need a day to recharge it. Once again, NOBODY phoned me to ask if I wanted to leave the car there for this to be done. Also, there is no indication on the service form of the dangerously low battery level. I was very unhappy about this and told the person - a very friendly and courteous woman doing the check-ins for services - at the service counter this. She went to the workshop to check up about it, but no-one bothered to come and see me to explain it. And no-one had told her about the tyres either until I got there and queried it with her. These were two specific requests that were blatantly ignored. ONE phone call could've sorted it out. Instead of phoning me to fetch the car barely four hours after I dropped it off for the service, the alignment and car rotation could both have been done on the day and the battery issue addressed with me as well. Clearly, no-one at the workshop gave a toss about providing quality service. Too early in the new year to care? To add insult to injury, the service feedback form I was given states that my car's next service is “15000km or Jan 2026 which ever (sic ) occurs first.” My car's service was on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, so surely next year would be in 2027? Later that day I received a text message from Somerset West Import Multifran (not Kia) about my car's service, promising to follow up with a call to ensure that the service was to my satisfaction. To date, NO CALL Oh, and one more thing, I bought this car in 2023, yet every few months I get a call from someone at Kia Somerset West enquiring whether I am still interested in buying a Kia. How is it not on file that I did indeed buy one in 2023? I bought the car from you, yet they have no record that I did buy a Sonet from Kia Somerset West and keep pestering me with calls about buying one. They want to sell but can't be bothered to provide a quality after-sales service. I have raised the issue with Kia customer care numerous times - today is January 26 - and the problem has still not been fixed even though I have had emails to apologise - they keep referring to it as "miscommunication" instead of the bad service it was - and asking for dates that would suit me to take the car back. I provided dates, but those were not responded to. So be warned, if you buy from Kia, just know that once they've sold the car to you, they do not give two hoots about the after-sales service.

Customer Service in terms of service department absolutely shocking. 1. Phoning the Kia Dealership number, either no one answers or when they transfer the call to the service department, no one answers the phone. 2. Phone back repeatedly, with the same issue 3. Leave a message for someone to call back to arrange for a service appointment, no one calls back 4. When I eventually escalated the matter to the DP, and followed up a few times with him, I eventually got an appointment to get the electronic handbrake fixed (which was also a concern being faulty with only 33000 km on the vehicle. This was then fixed under warranty). 5. While the vehicle was in for repairs, they ask you join the whatsapp group to keep in touch. Which I joined and tried to communicate via whatsapp while the vehicle was at the dealership, but no response on my message. 6. My vehicle is due now for a service, and again it is phoning with no response to get through to them to make an appointment. 7. Tried to book via the App, but I could not choose a date to arrange. Therefore the App was also not working. Very frustrating and disappointing.

I wish I read the reviews before signing with this dealership. I went there to get a new vehicle & they blatantly **** to me and sold me a pre owned car claiming it’s a demo, I requested reports and nothing thus far. They are all into it including the manager they won’t take accountability. If you can , please avoid the dealership at all costs.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in February 2024 through a cash transaction, and the entire experience has been disappointing. The dealership took an unreasonably long time to provide the required registration documents, and by May 2024, I found myself driving an unlicensed vehicle. When stopped by law enforcement, I was informed that the temporary replacement license provided was *******, resulting in a R500 fine. Despite their commitment to settle the fine, the dealership failed to do so. Due to the significant delays in receiving my vehicle’s license, the roadworthy certificate had to be redone. A process I was assured would be quick took over 7 hours to complete, adding to the frustration. Additionally, I live two hours away from the dealership and had to make four separate trips in person to resolve these issues which resulted in a significant loss of income. After months of ongoing communication and delays, I finally received the appropriate licensing and ownership documents at the end of July 2024. The dealership’s lack of professionalism, failure to fulfil their commitments, and the considerable inconvenience they caused reflect poorly on their service. I would not recommend them to other potential customers.

The dealer sold me a vehicle without disclosing a pre-existing condition or sending it for a Dekra assessment. Only after I noticed a water leak did they send it for assessment. Within three months, the car broke down, but the dealer refuses to take responsibility. Be cautious and communicate via email, as they have a history of altering statements and poor communication.

Red alert for pre-owned Kia dealership. I've purchased a second hand car from Kia dealership in Feb 2021. I was told the car was accident free at that time. Trusted their words and purchased the car. 3 years later, 2024, I decided to upgrade my car and tried to trade in at the dealership. Guess what... the car was in a MAJOR accident, they cannot even take in the car for a trade in. I was so shocked and devastated that my car was in a such bad state. I contacted few other private dealers. Every single one of them told me that car was in a big accident and I was actually lucky not to have problems in the past. I went back to the KIA dealership, told them what happened. And of course, they can't offer me anything. Playing innocent that the owner ship of the dealership has changed last year. All the staffs have changed. They have no responsibility for this. I was so disappointed that a international brand dealership doesn't look after their customers and the Kia company itself has no quality control over their branches. At the end, I had to sell my car at a fraction of money. One of the dealers told me, he caught on the record, that one of the previous owners was a company of salvaged cars... So obviously the accident happened before I've purchased. The scary part is that I'm not only one. I saw another very similar review on Hellopeter, specifically Kia Somerset West branch. Therefore people, please watch out when you go there or take someone who knows the car... Unfortunately I trusted the dealership.

Very disappointed in KIA Somerset West bought my second car from them a little while ago but from the get go we experienced issues first it was the breaks that was absolutely shot i reported this to them and they did agree to replace all the pads and 2 x break disks GOOD! then the tyre company showed us that the shocks was also leaking and that all four tyres was very close to end of live , now I understand that buying a second hand vehicle sometimes comes with issues but this car only had 40 k on the clock and it was made clear to us that the car went through all the checks with KIA mechanics and everything was perfect so how can all this go wrong with a car that was apparently checked by KIA own mechanics , all the sales man can say to us is he only sells the vehicle those things got nothing to do with him Pathetic
