I recently wrote a review about Kids Emporium, sharing my bad experiencing about an order that was not being delivered to me. i expressed my disgust with their bad service, as it is difficult to get hold of them on most platforms. they responded to me on Instagram eventually. in the weeks that followed i received very conflicting feedback from them with regards to the status of my order, eventually my order reflected as completed online along with a link to a courier company, with no info captured against the waybill that just stayed like that for days. In the end i contacted the courier myself, just to find out that they had not received any parcel for shipment at all and that i must contact the supplier. i was left very upset and with no indication on what will happen to my order that i paid for as Kids Emporium now changed their feedback between "it will be delivered today-or it is on back order". Hence i decided to share my experience publicly. My order has since been delivered to me, i believe only due to my public reviews assisting me in this. i am now being spammed by phone calls and intimidating like messages from a now male owner at Kids Emporium requesting me to remove my online reviews and within a time frame. also with offensive comments aiming at the fact that i must have posted the review due to being in the final stages of pregnancy.. I decided to edit my review accordingly, as i have since received my order, but believe that i am well within my rights to express my online shopping experiences publicly and will therefore not remove this feedback as requested by the owner of Kids Emporium, they should have treated a customer better in the first place and then bad reviews wont take place at all, they should also refrain from using a male presence to intimidate female shoppers with messages and phone calls.

I am completely disgusted with this place, i placed an order a couple of weeks ago, still no delivery, and the staff dont respond on email or whatsapp, also dont answer phone calls. they now respond on instagram, however with nonsense feedback saying my delivery will be received today, or the next day, then when you phone the courier they have received nothing to deliver!!! then suddenly the item is on back order again. omg!!! worst, these people are serious con artists and i would never use them in my life, and hope that no one ever makes the mistake of ordering from them!!

The Hyde Park Kids Emporium advertised a 2019 Nuna pram model on their website. - I ordered said 2019 model pram/c****at/basinet bundle which was quoted for by Hyde Park Kids Emporium, and the order was placed and paid for. - On 25/05/2020 the order arrived, but the pram was a 2017 model with fewer & less premium features. - Multiple attempts to contact Hyde Park Kids Emporium to rectify this issue were made, but were ignored. - On 02/06/2020, Nuna representatives confirmed that the 2019 model was not available in the country, and that it could not be supplied at all. - Multiple emails and calls were made thereafter to Hyde Park Kids Emporium representatives - all which amounted to nothing until the owner finally returned a call on the first week of July, 2020. - Store credit to the value of the market related difference between the 2017 and the 2019 pram model was promised by the owner via e-mail on 03/08/2020 but all calls and e-mails have been ignored since then.

I purchased an online voucher for a friend worth R1000. She now has been trying to purchase using these vouchers and they say they don't exist. When you go to the website and contact the contact numbers available- all they say is "sorry it has new owners, I don't have their details". When you leave a not on the contact form, no one gets back to you. When you call the numbers it's just voice mails and no answers. Shocking service. Don't think I would encourage any expectant or present mum to purchase with Kidsemporium online of this is the stress you must deal with.

Bought an Aqua Scale Childs bath from the Umhlanga store a month ago. After a few uses the scale function stopped working. Kids Emporium refuses to swap it for a working unit, according to the manager the "Bath is water damaged" and they have no recourse with the supplier and will not take any action, claims I should have bought a more expensive Stokke unit. This is in breach of the consumer protection act, and poor customer service from a store that should be differentiating to compete with the larger stores. Unfortunate really.

Bought an Aqua Scale Childs bath from the Umhlanga store a month ago. After a few uses the scale function stopped working. Kids Emporium refuses to swap it for a working unit, according to the manager the "Bath is water damaged" and they have no recourse with the supplier and will not take any action, claims I should have bought a more expensive Stokke unit. This is in breach of the consumer protection act, and poor customer service from a store that should be differentiating to compete with the larger stores. Unfortunate really.

Missed delivery windows that were blamed on an unreliable factory in Capetown, but were described as great craftsmen who would custom-make our ordered furniture before we handed our money over. When cot was finally delivered, the paid for installation and assembly ended up driving bolts entirely through the headboard as the crew had no instructions, and were unaware there were both 25mm and 30mm bolts mixed in the hardware bag. On top of this, the pre-drilled holes for assembly were not evenly spaced, causing 3 of the corners of the cot to be misaligned. . End result is we paid 8300 Rand for a Riley Cot and assembly, to have it damaged before the assembly crew were even finished putting it together, and even without the accidental damage by them the frame joins look like the type of job that occurs in a high school shop class, not the work of "expert craftsmen". Despite notifying KE of these issues on September 22nd, as of writing this review there has been no progress on getting a repair or replacement, with KE stating replacement head and footboards are in production on Sept 26, yet as of my most recent contact with KE (November 10) the "explanation" given as to why I do not have the replacement head and footboards yet is that, despite having ETA given by the factory, none have been adhered to, but they hoped to have an answer for me this week. Edit: it is now November 25th, and it still isn't on a truck. Given my experience with the company, I cannot recommend working with them under any circumstances, and at this point completely regret that we didn't just purchase an off-the-shelf cot from some other vendor.

I'm extremely upset and disappointed with Kids Emporium Canal Walk and it will sadly be my last time supporting them. I was gifted a 6-12month size dress from their store for my daughter, however, upon opening I noted the bow on the front was stained. When taking it back, I was informed they would not refund or exchange as the dress wasn't in that condition upon sale? The dress has never been worn as my child is only 3 months old and still had the tags on. I'm offended that I am being held liable when the garment was sold in that condition.
