Preventative maintenance
We reside in an apartment block in Cape Town , and Metal Windows replaced our wooden windows with aluminium windows 6 years ago. The 5 year guarantee has expired and certain issues are now evident after 6 years. We contacted Metal Windows and a consultant undertook a site visit. Subsequent to the receipt of a inadequate quotation, and further correspondence with Metal Windows it appears that Metal Windows is not in business to undertake paid maintenance on their windows.

Disappointing Service
Have tried to contact them for two months to come to an agreement to complete there project to replace our windows to no avail they do not even answer us back and this was after i had a meeting with them in January where i said that things needed to be fixed and i showed them photo evidence. There windows are still leaking after 3 years of them repairing them. They have put in so much silicon is should not leak but it still does.

When we bought our flat we found the steel windows had rusted and did not close properly. Larry sent his rep out to measure up and give a quotation. The price was competitive, so we asked for a price to enclose our stoep as well. Again a good price. The job was done efficiently and quickly and we have had trouble-free service from the aluminium windows. A job well done!

Customer Service s****s lacking
Impossible to arrange a job with them. I made it quite clear I don't live at the flat where the job on the windows needing doing. The arrangement was I should be called before hand so that I could come thru to open up. On the morning of the arranged job - no call is received. I phone the office to enquire and am told the guys are 'outside waiting'. I dash through to meet them. I don't see them outside. I wait 20 mins. I call their office. Call is cut off. I call again and leave a message for Dwight since he's the person that arranges the jobs I'm told. I wait in my car another 15 mins for Dwight's call - it never happens. Later I go up to the flat and discover the people assigned to the job have somehow sneaked into the block without permission and are actually waiting outside the flat. An hour of their time waiting is wasted as well as 40 mins of my time. Later I call the office again and get hold of Dwight to ask for an explanation. He comes back and instead of trying to understand my frustration and dissatisfaction at be situation he issues insults to me which I wont elaborate on here. Shocking customer service.

Unbelievably poor service from metal windows. A team came around to fix a leak. Took out all windows, checked them and put them back in. But then broke the glass on one. Said they would be back in 10 minutes with a replacement...returned over an hour later. All the windows they had replaced were filthy...couldn't even clean them! Also asked to check and quote me on a leak near one of their other windows. He said a rep would get back to me the next day. I called every day for the next week....no news! Today I spoke to Dave Foreman, who said he would get the quote out immediately....still waiting! My title is a direct quote from one of the many people I spoke to....can you guess who it was? No Metal Windows doesn't know either.....
