Earlier today I went to Carnival Checkers hyper to return 3 products that I bought on the 1st of June. When I bought the products I still had some that I had been using and really I had no reason to open and check the new ones that I bought for defects. I have been using this face cream for 2 years and by now I know how it smells and the texture. So now upon opening the new face cream that I bought from checkers it had a funny smell and and the texture was different. I used it for a week and the smell got worse for me and I started having skin break outs, I went to checkers to ask them for a refund on the products. When I got to Customer care desk I found this lady who nicely attended to me and I explained my situation and she asked me to wait, few minutes later she came back and told me that the manager says I must contact the company that the product belongs to, and I was not happy with the response as the packaging was tampered with by the store and sealed with a sello tape, when I asked about the sellotape I was told they open all boxes and put in some security thing inside then seal the boxes with sellotape the lady suggested I speak to the manager. I went to the manager's office, I found her with another lady from House and home. I asked if she was told about my story and she dismissively(as she wanted to continue her chat session with the lady she was with) says yes and in the same breath tells me to call Portia M as the period for a refund has passed, I asked her where is their return policy as it's not written on the till slip,and she said it's on CPA and I must go read it there and I asked why must I go read it there why can't Checkers provide or at least have it on their till slip as they have customers returning things every day, and we went back and forth about the return policy and at some point she says they have terms and conditions on the till slip which covers them. I looked at the till slip and it said nothing about the terms and conditions, seeing that excuse does not work then she went back to say I must go read about the return policy on CPA. I her asked would she send my mom who has no access to the internet to go read the return policy on the internet, in any case why should I go read about the return policy on the internet when my transaction was concluded in the store by the till point not online. She then called a certain "Meneer" as she referred to him over the phone and explained to him in Afrikaans disregarding how that might be offensive to a customer whom chances are does not speak the same language as her, luckily for me my intermediate Afrikaans paid off in this regard. And the"Meneer" on the line said I should be reimbursed for the 2 products that are not opened however not in cash but I should be given a gift card rather, now I am forced to shop at their store and stuck with a product that I can't use. (after dealing with this lady I don't feel Checkers deserves even a cent of my money being spent there). Off she goes to her Friend at House and home (the friend left in the middle of our thing) Just when I thought my fight was over, the lady that was to give me the gift card, continued to add on to my frustration by insinuating that I opened the other boxes as the sello tape on it is not wrapped the same way as the others. Like really now! the attitude in this place is disgusting.
Renault germiston don't even deserve the one Star, they are only getting it because there's no option for zero star. I took my car for a service today, and before I left I asked the lady who booked my car in, that can I please be picked up from work at 16:30pm, and she agreed and I reminded her that the last time my car was brought in for service I was only picked up an hour later than the agreed time that was even worse as I was standing in heels in an unsafe area. Of which then they did not even call me to say they were running late. I was only told after I had called them and I still stood there for a while , I was only picked up after a friend intervened and called them. Fast forward to today, sure I get a call from them saying my car is ready and again I remind the lady that I need to be picked up at 16:30, and she assures me that I will be picked up at the agreed time , and she said she will have a driver call me to confirm my address. Time went by and there was no call from a driver, then boom 16:23 the lady calls me only to tell me that all their drivers are stuck in traffic. This is the same story I was given last time I took my car there, these people are literally less than 2km from my office if they really cared about customer service they could've booked an Uber for R10. I tell you this is the last time I ever set foot there. Their service is disgusting. And believe me this is not even the only story I have about this place. I have another story about warranty and from that day I swore I will never buy a Renault car again.

For over a month as a signatory on the account, I have been trying to load my daughter's account on my app. So the otp kept going to a cellphone number I don't recognize. So I was not able to load it myself. On Friday the 18th of November I called Standard Bank for them to help me load it, still after being on the phone for over 20 minutes it was still not done. On Sunday the 20th I went to the OR Thambo branch, and they were offline. after waiting for a while I left. So today I called Standard Bank again and I was transferred from one consultant to the other, the first 2 consultants were not able to help me, this was after being on the phone for over 20 minutes again and finally the 3rd consultant from Digital banking seemed. Mind you with everything consultant I had go through security questions. So just when I thought I was going to get helped I apparently failed the security questions with the 3rd consultant(which has never happened before) ,and I was told to go to a branch or call again after 24 hours. After this experience I will definitely make time over the weekend and go to the branch and close all the accounts I have with them. Just so they know, I don't have lifetime accounts with them. Therefore moving banks is not a problem for me.
Every Friday I used to visit pick 'n pay Carnival mall until 2 months ago. What happened is that I went in and straight to the clearance table like I would normally do and check if there was anything I could buy from there and there was nothing for me that day. Then I decided to leave , when I got to the door a male security stationed at the door blocked my way and demanded to search my bag . I politely asked him why he had no reason as to why he needed to search my bag , I asked what were the security sensors for then , he had no answer all he wanted was to search my bag. Anyway I told him there was no way I would let a man search my bag then he called a lady security to come and search my bag . she did search my bag and I also let her know that I was not happy with their practice. I witnessed them searching people before and I always thought the people they were searching were employees of the store only I realise gore no man this is done to black people that dont look posh. I have never seen any other race being searched . I tell you words are failing me in explaining the embarrassment I went through that day being treated like a thief ..I actually regret all the money I've ever spent there before. Anyway I have not been there since that day, I still get disgusted every time I go into Clicks store and seeing that guard by p'np's door.
I ordered a door from leroy merlin, and everything was fine until the delivery day. So on their confirmation email they said delivery will take place 3-5days the following day while at work I saw several missed calls and when I called the number, I found out it was the delivery guy saying he was at my gate about an hour ago,and after blaming me for not answering phone, he said I should expect delivery the following day. My problem is firstly why rock at the house without notifying me that I should expect my delivery earlier than communicated so that I can make arrangements for someone to be home if I am not there. Secondly when I called the delivery guy the following day he did not take my 1st 3 calls eventually a woman answered the phone. I asked what time should I expect my delivery she said the guy does not work on Saturdays, which surprised me because he promised I will be getting my delivery on that Saturday.
i bought a 5 liter S****fuls ice cream . we got home had dinner then some ice cream on cone as my daughter loves it . the taste was so disappointing my husband thought it had expired .the cream was separate from other ingredients and it had so much ice . it was such a waste of money . i will not be buying it ever again.
I called nando's Lambton to place an order to avoid having to wait long when i get to the restaurant. that did not help at all. my order was placed @ 12:57 and according to the confirmation sms my order was supposed to be ready at 13:15. i got there @13:13 , well i was early for collection and no one is to blame for that , but then i waited until 13:25 waiting for my food , until the cashier wondered why was i still there , only to find that my food was ready even before i got there left under the counter,but no one bothered to give me the food. what makes me upset is that i wasted my airtime pre-ordering and being served cold food because according to the receipt on the bag the food was ready at 13:07.
<p>i bought a pampers mega box nappies (size 3) last year from pick n pay.,and when my baby got to wear a size 3 , upon opening the box i found the nappies smelling so bad that i could smell them from another room. i tried to use a few of them only to find that they gave my baby a bad nappy rash. now im stuck with a box of smelly nappies that i wasted so much money on .</p>
