On 31 December 2025 at 07:21, I experienced a fault with my car on my way to work. I immediately contacted Renault Germiston for assistance, and Nonty advised that I bring the car in before 09:00 as they were closing early for the day. I rushed to the Germiston Service Centre, and upon arrival, Nonty ensured that my car was attended to promptly by a technician for diagnosis. She kindly asked me to wait while the diagnostic process was completed and directed me to the waiting area. While waiting, I logged into my laptop to continue working. Shortly after, Cynthia approached and, upon learning that I was waiting for my car, graciously offered me an office space to work comfortably. I truly appreciate the exceptional level of service provided by the team today—I felt like a VIP! A big thank you to Nonty and Cynthia for going above and beyond.

I am so blown away and impressed with the impeccable service from the Bidvest McCarthy Renault team in Germiston. I bought my Renault Triber brand new in the beginning of this year(dream come true). I was about to reach the 15k mileage mark and called yesterday to book a service. Firstly my sales rep Lerato did not hesitate sharing the correct numbers and person for the service department. Nthabileng from the service centre further blew me away from the outset until their courteous and most efficient driver picked me up to collect my vehicle today. It is so wonderful to know that great customer service still exists and my Triber drove home proudly as zippy and zesty as the first day I bought it. I was made to feel so excited about my vehicle even after 15k km's. Would recommend to anyone. Excellent service.

I took my Nissan Qashqai to Bidvest McCarthy Germiston for major service on the 15th of December 2025 and their technician failed to switch off the engine light so he and service lady advised me to bring the vehicle back on the 17th of December for finalization of his work and indeed I did that and upon my collection of the car(17th December) the service lady called to inform me that the car is ready for collection and take that we quoted you again for putting a chemical in your car for regeneration however I was quoted the same regeneration on major service, so when I asked why am I being quoted twice for same thing and yet again why you put a chemical that you can't even disclose the name of into my car without my concern then heated arguments started with their Principal manager and he said they won't release my car without that additional payment so I paid that extra amount of R800 to release my car.I logged the case with Nissan South Africa for further action.

My car had an engine issue and still had warranty, Nissan called and informed about the issue,they came ans fetched the car in November 2023. To this day the car is not back and not fixed,they are busy giving us the run around about when the car will be fixed,everytime we call we get a new manager who says something different, since November we have spoken to 3 managers. Nissan Mccarthy is making us fools. Yesterday we got a call that the car we will get today and when we call today,another Manger answers and says the car has not been assembled. We then requested for another car in the meantime and we told we must pay insurance for that car, whereas I'm paying insurance for the car they keeping with them. The manager we spoke with today says the car might take another week to be fixed. Even the one star is too much for this dealership, I would give them a zero...

Renault Germiston – Bidvest McCarthy is not a good branch to do business with. I will not recommend anyone to buy a car or conduct any services with them. They provide bas service and don’t even care to assist. Problem I faced when buying a car at Renault Germiston – Bidvest McCarthy. - The vehicle finance application was submitted without my consent and approval. - I was not given a chance to select a suitable product/car for me as it was selected for me and included value added products (VAPS) which I was not informed about. - I was misled into finalizing the deal because I had the believed that I will receive a cashback of R15000/R10000, or installment payment break as per the face to face conversation with Sales Manger - I did not get any call or a session with the Finance department to discuss the contract T&C’s, yet I was provided with document for record of advice for me to sign. (I did not have any discussion with Finance) - The record of advice documents that I was made to sign had wrong information and had another client’s product and personal details (Violation of POPIA)

I was booked for a 105000KM service on my car on the 29/04/23. I experienced the WORST service from this dealership. My car has a door lock problem due to it being broken into previously and now my remote key is broken but the parts are being ordered to fix it. I SPECIFIED all of this right in the beginning to the service consultant(I even showed her my remote key) and asked for the car not to be locked because it cannot be unlocked without a locksmith. Needless to say, the car was locked by one of their workers and I was told that they could not open it and that a locksmith needed to be called but the bill is my responsibility because I brought them BADLY DAMAGED car to be serviced. I WILL NEVER use this dealership again and don't recommend it to anyone and to top it all off, the damaged my "badly damaged" car in the process of trying to open it themselves. I'm livid because the mistake is on their side but I was blamed for everything!

Evening, I'm very disappointed with the service I've received from Renault Germiston. Here is what happened. I've bought my new Renault kiger on March 2022 hence on 11th month the battery of my car died. I've lodge a claim as the battery warranty was still valid hence they told me that I should bring the car to the garadge and I did that. It takes 5 days still waiting for them to come back to me. I've decided to go check whats the cause of the delay and they told me the warranty department wants to run test the battery and I gave them that permission because I want this issue to be resolved. They came back to me with an information that warranty department suspects my tracker device. They saying tracker device on my car is consuming too much current from the battery, hence I called tracker company to come to the garadge under my expenses hence they did came and they tested their device with Renault technician and they all agreed that the device was not part of the problem. Because I was using my car on ubber and I was paying my car installment with ubber income, I request to take my car and they will be pushing my claim with warranty department. I told them that I'm going to buy a new battery coz the current one was not even enabling to switch the lights on, it was a mess. They agreed that I can go buy new battery and continue with my business. They called me again after a week that I should bring back the battery as warranty department wants to do the last test on the battery unfortunately the time when I bought the new battery I left the old battery from the shop as requested by the shop. I told them that I'm no longer having the battery with me and they told me that they are cancelling my claim. My worry is that Renault SA hasn't been fair to me because I gave them enough time to do the test and they did the tests now they want to retest the battery again even when their technician told them that two cells were dead on the battery and tracker device wasn't part of the problem. I'm truly disappointed on Renault SA.

Renault germiston don't even deserve the one Star, they are only getting it because there's no option for zero star. I took my car for a service today, and before I left I asked the lady who booked my car in, that can I please be picked up from work at 16:30pm, and she agreed and I reminded her that the last time my car was brought in for service I was only picked up an hour later than the agreed time that was even worse as I was standing in heels in an unsafe area. Of which then they did not even call me to say they were running late. I was only told after I had called them and I still stood there for a while , I was only picked up after a friend intervened and called them. Fast forward to today, sure I get a call from them saying my car is ready and again I remind the lady that I need to be picked up at 16:30, and she assures me that I will be picked up at the agreed time , and she said she will have a driver call me to confirm my address. Time went by and there was no call from a driver, then boom 16:23 the lady calls me only to tell me that all their drivers are stuck in traffic. This is the same story I was given last time I took my car there, these people are literally less than 2km from my office if they really cared about customer service they could've booked an Uber for R10. I tell you this is the last time I ever set foot there. Their service is disgusting. And believe me this is not even the only story I have about this place. I have another story about warranty and from that day I swore I will never buy a Renault car again.
