The rate and benefits were thoroughly discussed, I did find it quite annoying that the full benefits are not emailed for consideration unless you ask for them. Great service from Mershen Govender.

Imagine a world where in order to get a quotation you are forced to give a verbal, binding commencement date before you are even told what the cost could be. Well imagine now more because this is what I have just experienced with Future wise. And they have no contact details on thei website either mind you so I could not even address this with management. The consultant I dealt with was lovely though and I completely understand that the procedure she had to follow has been given to her but under no circumstances is it OK to ask someone for a commencement date right at the beginning of a quotation process? Do you take us for fools?

In the past using Hippo use to be a joy, you could get a comparitive quote that lists all the benefits and features and there was no need for human interaction unless you had decided to go ahead. Now the quotes are vague, there are barely any features listed and talking to a human is compulsory. Not only do they harrass you with calls even if you decline the call 7 times and when you answer and so no thanks they continue to call. Bring back the old system. Not all of us like human interaction.
Who know claiming Maternity UIF would be so hard. On my last day at the office in November 2021 I began an application for Maternity leave so that my employers would know what was needed from them to submit my clain for Maternity UIF. In Dec 2021 once baby was born I began sending in all the necessary paperwork. It took 3 submissions and 3 months to finally send through all the correct forms as each time I submitted I was asked to submit something else. (Why I couldn't just be asked 1 time for everything I don't know) Finally in February 2022 my assessment was completed by the Assessor. And thus began my weekly and daily battle with the department to try find out what on earth is happening and why nothing has been approved. In the interim my husband who applied for Paternity UIF has been paid out in May 2022. It is now 24 June 2022 and I email daily, phone 2 - 3 times per week and have had ZERO answers and no approval on payout. My bond is hanging on by a thread and with my husbands job on short time due to recent flood damage our families financial situation is falling to pieces because we are taking loans left right and centre to cover bills that the UIF was meant to cover. And when I ask who I can talk to - NO ANSWER. When my queries are escalated do I get feedback - NO. How on eart is it fair for the UIF to be taken off our salaries monthly ON TIME but we sit 7 months later with no payout, no hope in hell of feedback and nothing but empty lies. My neighbour had her baby 3 years ago and eventually gave up on following up and has to date not been paid out. I have been back at work 3 months now - CAN ANYONE ACTUALLY HELP? After cancelling my contract for the end of October one would have thought your device would still be available to use until the end of October. Having more than 6Gb of data still available to use by today you can imagine my surprise when I woke up today only to find my device already blocked and my 6GB lost into the abyss that is Telkom. They are very quick and diligent to take your money on time but when you need their help, not even phone lines or online avenues are available. I will never use their services again.
A few weeks ago McDonalds hosted a NAZO meals special where you could get a scratch and win voucher. I got the meal, scratched and tried to redeem the voucher. There was an error on the screen. I then emailed the rewards office and was asked to provide my voucher code which I did. I have since replied to that same mail thread about 4 times with no response from McDonalds. I don't find the fact that I now need to publically address this issue to get results very funny. But it seems to be necessary.
