I am beyond frustrated with Makro’s service. I ordered a washing machine and a small vacuum cleaner from Makro Online, which was dispatched from the Makro Pietermaritzburg branch. Makro assured me that my order would be delivered on 5 December 2024. Today is 13 December 2024, and I am still waiting for my washing machine! The vacuum cleaner was only delivered on 12 December 2024 — a full week late. The delivery driver told me the washing machine would "come a little later," but that was clearly not true. Even worse, according to Makro's courier partner, Value Logistics, both items were "delivered" on 12 December, which is a blatant lie. Makro’s choice of Value Logistics as their courier is a complete failure. If your chosen courier cannot be trusted, the responsibility lies with you to resolve it for your customers. Instead, I’m left chasing answers and dealing with lies. This kind of service is unacceptable. Makro, you have officially lost a customer. If you can't ensure reliable delivery, I will gladly take my business elsewhere. Customers deserve better than this!

This experience has cost Makro a loyal customer because I refuse to deal with Value Logistics again. Avoid them at all costs if you want peace of mind with your deliveries!

My husband kindly purchased a Watchily Smart Watch as a birthday gift for me. When I opened the watch on Sunday, October 29th, I was initially pleased with its appearance. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed a black line on the screen under the cover. My husband immediately contacted Watchily's customer service via email on October 30th to report the issue. They responded by requesting a photo of the damaged screen. After providing the photo, we were asked if we would prefer a replacement watch or a screen protector. We informed them that a screen protector would not resolve the underlying issue and reiterated our request for an exchange. Despite our clear communication, Watchily continued to delay the resolution process by repeatedly asking for additional information and failing to provide timely responses. On Friday, they requested a video of the damaged screen, and on Monday, a week later, they instructed us to send the watch back at our own expense. We expressed our dissatisfaction with this arrangement and requested that they send a courier to collect and replace the watch. However, our emails were met with silence. Our concerns extend beyond the damaged watch itself. The box the watch arrived in was not branded with Watchily's logo, unlike the boxes featured in their Instagram videos. The advertised battery life of 10 days is a significant misrepresentation. In reality, the battery only lasts about two days, even with moderate usage. Additionally, the company only provides email support during limited hours, with no option for phone contact. Overall, our experience with Watchily Smart Watch has been extremely disappointing. The product was defective, and the customer service has been unresponsive and unhelpful. We strongly advise against purchasing from this company.
This place is so sly and dishonest. I order one thing and get another. I ordered a 3 level doll house for my daughter for her birthday. I received a different doll house that is R415 cheaper than the one I ordered. They are now refusing to give me the R415. So sly and dishonest. I will be spreading the word. No one has contacted me to explain that the one I ordered is out of stock and that they are sending me a different one. The call center just says that I must return the cheaper one but if I did that then my daughter would not have had a birthday present. I just want my R415 credit.
I bought a Doll House from Takealot that was R1500 and received a different Doll House that was R1085. They did not let me know that I am getting a cheaper different doll house and refuses to give me R415 store credit. This is it is very dishonest.
I am so disappointed in the service. My Explorer had a code BE5 and Multichoice Vryheid said it is broken and we should get a new one. We decided to buy a second hand decoder and it is R600 (ridiculous price for 2nd hand) Worst off all is that they said we have to give the broken one as trade in but they don't give anything for the broken one. This is so wrong!!! This will be my last month as a subscriber. I will cancel my DSTV because of bad service. They will probably fix our broken one that they actually stole from us and sell it for R600.
This company does not reply!!! Ordered 8 December and now after all this time about everything is suddenly out of stoc**** Now they give me a store credit and I want my money back. The service used to be good but now a days it sucks.
Thank you for bad service. I have reported the hair in my burger and have send the slips everything. Till today there were no feedback from the Vereeniging branch.
I opened an account with The Courier Guy about 2 Years ago. I was told that I have a "One Rate Account" I will pay R95 for up to 20kg. Suddenly I get charged between R155 to R315 for 5kg+ parcels. When I query they tell me that I selected the wrong option. We always ask the call centre to choose the cheapest option. I have lost about R2000 with The Courier Guy. They refuse to credit my account. They always just shrug their shoulder and never refund my money or credit my account.
