Stay away from Trojan Walking Mats at Makro! I purchased this treadmill beginning July. Used it twice for 10 minutes. Then it stopped working. Makro says deal with Trojan directly. We contacted Trojan immediately, but told Trojan couldn’t do anything, they’ll close the case and we must restart when we’re back from overseas 26th July. Since then, we’ve been trying to get them to repair (no replacing this brand new item)… No feedback ever, when we phone we’re told it’ll be another week, they’ll log it…

We’ve been with Turnberry Gap Cover for quite a few years now. They’ve always been amazing, paying very promptly! They obviously only pay what your medical aid doesn’t cover for in-hospital only. The last few years my Wife and I have been hospitalised often, and they’ve never rejected a claim. They’ve paid more than my medical aid has paid, at a fraction of the cost!
Made a 9am appointment to collect. Was told to just join the queue along with walk-ins… It’s now 10.30 and I’ve finally got my passport. Very bad attitude!
Love my Bestway Pool, but… you can’t buy spares…so I’ve been to and phoned numerous Pool shops, googled, nobody can tell me where to find parts. I discovered that I can buy a packet of spare bits and pieces for R2000, but not this little plastic bit on its own! I’ve emailed the support email address and got no reply.
Travelled from Durban via Dubai to Dublin in April. With the flooding our flight left way later, then we got stuck in Dubai for three days, luckily we were taken to a nearby hotel. Of course we were dressed for Dublin’s cold, not Dubai’s heat, so had to buy some basics as even our checked luggage was elsewhere. Also, being there for 3 days, we needed some refreshments, although our food was covered by Emirates. It was a mission filling in the online forms as we’re not great with technology, but we got paid out although I’d considered giving up! I was really grateful that they persevered with our case, despite our messy presentation. We also got paid out for the slow lounge in Durban. We’re very happy that we took travel insurance with TIC!
My wife has just spent 4 days in this hospital with an operation. She can’t stop talking about how amazing the hospital and staff were, from admittance to aftercare. To the point where, when I collected her, we were walking through reception, when a nurse came running up to us with my wife’s iPad and Samsung chargers that she’d left behind. That just confirmed the whole experience for us!
Needed help loading my profile on my wife’s FNB app so that I could renew my vehicle licences online. Call centre was amazing, great patience while helping us through the process! Then the licences were delivered in just a few days! Wonderful service by call centre agent and then by the whole licence process!
