EXPLODING SUNROOF FACTORY FAULT - WARRANTY POST SALE SCAM. UNETHICAL. Dear Public. I recently purchased a Brand New VW Polo TSI 1.0 (2022) at VW Hatfield, Melrose. During and directly after sales, I was congradulated and advised that the car is covered under Warranty. About a month after purchase, while driving on the highway I heard a gunshot-like sound emerging from atop the vehicle. Suddenly there were fire cinders and glass everywhere.. THE SUNROOF HAD EXPLODED! The highway was reletively free and there was no projectile that was in contact with my vehile (I was not driving under a bridge, nor was there any vehicle in close proximity). Luckily I managed to monoever to the yellow lane, park and exit the vehicle. No projectile was identified either on the street nor inside the vehicle. After the damaged vehicle was towed to RenewIT Bedfordview, VW Warranty requested for pictures so that they may send an assessor to review. After several days of failing to send an assessor, they requested pictures from which they used to conclude that the damage of the sunroof was due to my vehicle having a mid-windscreen chip and another minor dent on the body of the vehicle. I wish I could attach their shocking feedback on to this platform. After multiple back and forths with VW I then took to the internet to explore... I WAS SO SHOCKED TO DISCOVER THAT VW HAS IDENTICAL EXISTING CASES BOTH IN AMERICA AND EUROPE. A serious law suit was actually filed. On her report, the VW assessor (Leonie Bowkers) noted that such explosions can also be attributed to heat. How then does she conclude that it was a projectile that hit my sunroof when South Africa is significantlz warmer than both latter mentioned continents? The other shocking issue is that the glass is clearly broken concave down (the shattered glass is protuding outwards and not inwards) which is indicative of an explosion and not a smash by projectile. I am sorely disappointed by VW and its lack of integrity and complete disregard of peoples safety and financial wellbeings (Imagine having to pay the first installment for a damaged 1 month old vehicle due to an evaded factory fault). As if the latter is not enough, the Sales agent goes and illegally distributes personal information regarding the sunroof damage to 3rd parties without my consent, completly undermining the POPI act and its constitutional mandate. after consulting with him he blocks me and arrogantly tells me he will not get in trouble with POPI as he was not sharing my personal information. Unaware that the law , in this instance where he is my direct sales agent, actually regards my vehicle sale details (pre and post sale) as PERSONAL. I am completly dismayed at the way VW has chosen to deal with this incident. As a new client who made the brand concious decision to buy thier first car from the reputable brand such as VW, they have completely robbed me of the joys of a first car purchase experience, moreover, they have displayed no sense of consideration, urgency and regard. I have had to fight extensively before they could even offer me a coutesy vehicle. Unethical conduct VW. Would not recommend.

Nedbank is the worst when it comes to delivering on promises made to clients. A week ago an ATM failed to dispense cash I had withdrawn from my mobi money account. It was money sent for purposes of emergency. I then called nedbank instantaneously and an investigation was open and I was promised an SLA of 48 hours. Five days later I called the bank to do a follow up. They had me on hold for over 20 minutes where later I was promised that a team leader would call me back the same day. It has been over 5 days without any communication from them. I proceeded to the complaints department where the consultant rudely dropped the call pretending not to hear me. I called again and was offered the same treatment ... its clearly nedbank culture to disrespect their clientele. In any event I withdraw any affiliations I might have had with the bank. Since having my salary deposited with Capitec, I have been having the best banking experience. Do not trust Nedbank as they will ***** you over even during an emergency. Not a bank for the people.
Disappointing by far! You are promised to buy unlimited fast 4G but it does not work half the time. Especially in the mornings or when it is windy. Extremely disappointing since world of work has become virtual. It has logged me off during interviews and important work meetings. My neighbor let me use his Vodacom WIFI, it works like magic, especially for those crucial video conference calls. DO NOT GET RAIN.
Terrible fund managers. Resignation benefits delayed significanlty much to the detriment of members inducing further debts and insurance lapses for members defeating the purpose of employee benefits. Very poor adminstration and management. They dont even want to provide financials upon request so they are also law breakers. Mal_administrator of funds. Gauranteed to not not assist you at times of need. Its a zero from me. I have been waiting 6 months for my payout since my resignation and am going through the worst because of Akani's incompetence and nil respect for peoples time. Trash.
Terrible experience. Agents call to remind you of payment. You make an arrangement ,they don't honor it. They come up with different figures each time. Agents extremely incompetent and undertrained. Most inconsistent client service iv ever witnessed. After paying them in full they still refuse to give me a paid up letter. Literally they keep promising to send paid up letter but they never do. It's been a while waiting and still counting. It's a no from me.
Guys never go to hard rock cafe Nelson Mandela square. Wow disgusting service. The food was stale. The drinks where rotten. The staff had a bad attitude. Should've just gone to kfc rather.
Surely there must be a law that protects people from such crooks. I cant believe a mere conversation led me into an actual debt judgement listing on the bureau. This is literal fraud guys. I am too disappointed. the sales guy lied DEAD to my face telling me i'm not taking out the subscription but that it was a mere trial promotion so that they may contact me to offer their promotions, for which i would later have the option to sign up or not. This is actual fraud. now they've listed a debt of R8900 against my name. Whats worse is that i have never even once stepped into their premises nor received any card. Please advise of an Ombud for the Gym industry.
MBD will call you night and day to make payments on outstanding debt just so that they can keep billing you for the phone calls they make to you. ONTOP OF THAT after paying in full they WILL NOT send you a PAID UP LETTER. absolutely trash.
