I placed an order on 18 February with an expected collection date of 21 February. On 22 February I still hadn't received notification to collect. I went online and submitted feedback. I received an email within 30mins from Meeander Moodley informing me to collect my order at the store. The store gave me a bit of a hassle but eventually released my order. Thank you Meeander
I bought tickets to an event but the advert was not clear if it was open to children as well. I sent an email and was assisted by Bulelani Katikati. He identified that there was not enough information and contacted the event organizer and got a response for me within 10mins of my enquiry. I am highly satisfied with this kind of service
I went to specsavers in Menlyn mall to get an eye test. Well I ended up getting a pair of glasses and FREE prescription sunglasses, A free bag, AND trial contact lenses. The reason I went to specsavers was partly because of the promotion, but that wasn't really a big deal because they have it every year and it has never drawn me. I have been a loyal Torga Optical client since 2000 or 2001 and no promotion or free gift was going to sway me. I even used the same branch all the time. Until they changed staff and gave me bad service and a stinking attitude with a R8000 quote which they refused to break down for me to understand. I took my business elsewhere Specsavers is convenient because you can book an eye test online and select your own convenient branch, time, and even optometrist. They even call to confirm. I was assisted by a friendly consultant who helped me get the best frame for my face and lifestyle, and we also selected a frame for my sunglasses. Granted I paid over R4k for all the tweaking a d specializing, but I was so happy with the service that I did not even feel the pinch. They even offered to make me contact lenses because I run marathons. A week later I was called to collect and all 3 items were ready! Including a free bag. My entire attitude and mood has even improved just because of a minor change - Eyewear! My sister went to get hers done in Centurion at Mall @Redd's and she's happy. Today I took my father to Menlyn for his (another torga die-hard) and he can't stop raving, he can't even wait for the glasses to be made. Thank you Ricus at specsavers Menlyn Mall
I absolutely love love love Puma! Earlier this year I went to run my first Two Oceans marathon and I opted for the Puma Hybrid nx running shoe. The shoe performed very well and I even referred both my parents (also runners) to purchase puma running shoes. All 3 of us took our pumas to the streets in Soweto marathon On 26 November Two Oceans replied with my confirmation for 2020 and the first thing I did was drive to Puma. I fell in love with the Puma Rocket Runner but knew that I could not afford it now at R2000, having paid for the marathon expenses. I found #BlackFriday sales going on and the shoe was down to R1400. It was still a bit steep for my pocket coz my sister had fallen in love with a pair and I couldn't disappoint her since she is a student and wouldn't afford to buy her own... I settled for the Hybrid wns because it was marked down to R1000 and her pair was marked down to R799.00 When I got to the till, to my surprise, the shoes were not R1799 as expected but R1100! I was so elated I ran back and took the ones that I originally wanted. The Hybrid Rocket Runner was valued at R2000, marked down to R1400 but I only paid R799! Puma has made my running dreams to come true and I am SUPER excited for two oceans 2020. And what made my day even more was the friendly assistants who just waited for me as I ran up and down from the till to the display to look for the shoe I wanted. When I returned, she simply smiled and said: so how's your mum? Is she still okay with her pair or will you bring her for another one? After all those months she knew exactly which customer I was... Amazing service
Totalsports Menlyn mall was going crazy during #BlackFriday. The unfortunate thing was that I was not there for the specials, I went there for a Kaizer Chiefs jersey which was selling at full price. Unfortunately with all the chaos and I took an XL kiddies supporters jersey instead of an adult male size. The following day when I went to exchange I found the store in even more hype with more customers all flocking in for black Friday. The assistant just told me that the size I see there is the one they have. I was very disappointed and went to the till to return the kiddies one for a refund. At the till was the calmest and helpful person in the store (customers included). Thabiso asked why I wanted a refund and I related my story. He told me to wait there, went upstairs and actually returned with an XL male size Kaizer Chiefs jersey. Luckily my dad was with me and fitted it right there this time but it was too big. Thabiso then said he will check which stores have the right size for my dad and referred me to all the local branches which had stock. He went further and checked which branches had stock of the kiddies size small for my son, since I had already requested the store to contact me when they got stock. He found 3 branches and said if I return after black Friday he will request an in-branch transfer so that I buy the jersey at Menlyn since it is my nearest branch. After work I went to Brooklyn to exchange the XL one for my dad and he was a happy man. Thabiso had given me excellent service and gone above and beyond expectations, especially with all the chaos that was going on in the store. He made me feel that we were the only customers and did not give in to the pressure of all the shouting clients behind me. High 5 to Totalsports Menlyn Mall! What started out as a disappointing experience turned around to put smiles on the faces of my dad and my son.
Mcdonald's Gateway in pta (as you get on the N4 off Francis Baard Street) gave me the worst service of my life. I don't know if it was #BlackFriday or what but they were not keeping up with orders at all. On Saturday afternoon at past 4, thinking let me just grab a quick snack before getting on the freeway... Only to wait in the drive-thru for over 40mins! They do not communicate if they are having system problems, or electricity, or anything. We just sat in our cars and melted in the heatwave that is now taking over. 40mins! Then you get to the front and they just act normal, no apology for inconvenience, nothing. I have never in my life
While people were enjoying #BlackFriday I was truly having a black weekend because of MTN. I woke up on Sunday to find R1095 deducted from my bank account for a R209 contract. I have called the customer care line and been told it was a system error which happened in August. A system error which has cost me over R800! And since August why bill me now?! The messed up thing about their timing is that they deducted 3 days before my son's 4th birthday. I have made a cake order I can now no longer pay for. I am told I will get a reference number via sms and I must call again in 3-5 days to give that number to yet another agent who will then log a refund request for me. Why can this not be handled at first interaction? I am so disappointed and stressed out. MTN has ruined my son's birthday
Bolivia Lodge has good facilities and beautifully kept gardens. The conference rooms are well maintained and offer the standard conference requirements (water, pens, notepads) and have screens for projectors as well as air conditioning and sufficient electrical outlets. The tea/coffee and juice station is cleared out and replaced often. The dining hall is big and allows for different groups to meet and greet. The food is always exceptional - delicious and filling - and the desserts vary each time but the standard is always high. My favorite is their malva pudding and hot custard and ice cream, but I have recently also loved their lemon cheesecake The facilities are super clean and the staff is responsive and respectful. It is a good place to go for a conducive meeting and there are many gals available. If you're staying over or have a late or early meeting, there is the lodge side for accommodation
Nando's Jean Crossing in Centurion gives fast service and the food always upholds the brand standard. They never serve burnt food and the portion sizes are really good. The drive thru is a fly-thru Nando's has always been my family's favorite since we are social workers and usually on the road, there is hardly any time to cook. The family sharing meals offer good options to keep the meal as good as home-cooked. With the introduction of the Boujee bowl for R59, Nando's has now outdone themselves in the category of wholesome meals. Of course the hotpot still remains a close contender at R39 and crammed full of vegetables, rice and pulled chicken. Nando's is recommendable because they serve everything fresh: rolls, salads, everything and the chicken is always tender and flavourful
Seattle Coffee in Summit Place, Menlyn has exceptional service and beautiful drinks. The variety of sweet and savory goods, as well as cold and hot drinks, is very good. Seattle Coffee offers loyalty rewards, and if you leave your details (regardless of which branch you bought at) your points accumulate to give you a free drink of your choice! The coffee is good quality and there is something for everyone: coffee lovers, sweet tooth, and even the weight conscious, and from short (small) to tall (upsize).
