I just want to know from Vodacom, MTN, CellC and anyone else selling/ marketing cellphone contracts: When did they start giving/ selling/ marketing new phone contracts EXCLUDING the earphones and phone charger? I've been checking out the contracts online, phoned Vodacom a few times but after receiving some snotty, snooty and at times rude responses, I have given up trying to find a new phone. So I went into one of the Vodacom stores and the salesperson advised that no, the new contracts do not come with earphones or a charger. I just want to know if this now the new norm?
Had the misfortune to have a Loaded Bowl from Roast, Cape Quarter, De Waterkant Chicken was not fresh Sauce was too sweet (my mistake) - took Smokey BBQ Coleslaw - big cabbage pieces My friend took wings - said the Lemon & Herb sauce tasted like Mayonnaisse and the food was cold overall. Needless to say, we're never going back there again
On 07 May I was at Westgate Mall, Mitchell's Plain to get a few baking items only. As my son and I walk towards the shop, we pass Rocomamas and this one salesperson/ waiter is so voluble. He sees us coming on and he just starts talking and even as we walk past Rocomamas, he's still positive and ends his diatribe with: "Thank you for coming back and enjoying our breakfast special with us". He impressed my son and I so much that after our shopping, we did go back and went to enjoy their breakfast special. Service was excellent. Waiters were excellent and happy - so much that my son said he'll go and work there as well. Food was divine and a lot. I'm definitely going back there soon
I placed an order on Saturday morning for +-8/10 items - not a lot but the amount of trouble I received just to get this ordered delivered? Here's a breakdown of my Saturday nightmare: 1. The Driver calls me to advise that he will be leaving the store in 20 minutes 2. After 30 minutes I call the driver to find out where he is. HE advises that the store had given him an incomplete order and that he's trying to track down the balance of my order. NB - I had not received any communication from the store or shopper advising anything except to say that my shopper has started.. 3. After an hour I call back to the call centre where I get advised that my driver has broken down at the side of the road and that my order has been given to another driver for delivery. I ask for ETA and they say they will call me back. 4. I call back when I don't receive a call. Only to hear that my order has been re-ordered and that a driver will be delivering within the hour. 5. At 16h30 I call back only to find out that my order will only be delivered tomorrow morning. Sunday morning dawns and I receive an sms advising that my shopper has started (09h05). An hour later (10h44) I receive another sms advising that my shopper has started - again - a different shopper than the previous one. At 10h52 another sms advising that my shopping is done. At 11h50 another sms advising they are experiencing delays in delivering. I call in asking what's the delay - they're just waiting on the driver to come and pick up the goods. At 12h48 I receive a call advising the driver has collected and is on his way. 13h11 The driver eventually arrives. How does something like this happen? Are they too busy? Too much work?
I have been in contact with RAM courier services since December when my package was supposed to be delivered to me at my office. As I had developed Omicrom, I had to change the address for delivery which I did with countless phone calls as well as emails to RAM. Yet NONE of that was effective as the package was still delivered to my office address. How is that possible you say? Well, ask RAM - clearly there's no communication between drivers, customer service and whatever other departments are involved. I spoke to the driver who delivered the package and he advised that they had not been informed of the change in delivery address. How is that possible I asked, when I had been in daily contact ONE WEEK before delivery? Eventually, on the 04th January 2022, they collected the package from my office and tried to deliver it to the secondary address - only to find nobody home (at this stage I am uncertain if they were actually at the correct address as the driver told me he couldn't find the complex). From then till now, I've been trying to track my package and have found no response. Maybe this complaint will reach the right people and allow them to patch up the holes in their delivery system.
Did anyone know that if you decide to renew your Vodacom contract a few months before the contract comes to an end (remember those sms's you receive stating that you can now qualify for an upgrade??) - the remaining time left on the first contract, is then added to your new upgraded contract. They don't mention that to you when you renew the contract when you get that sms
This has got to be one of THE worst internet providers. I have been trying to change my contract with them since I started it a few months ago. I've been on the WhatsApp chat with them since 11h59 today and am still waiting for a sales consultant to assist me in changing the contract. It is now 13h35. Wow!
Heard this morning that they don't do the COVID-19 tests if you don't have comorbidity. Friend of mine went two weeks ago as she presented with the symptoms. Stood outside in the line, shivers and all, only to be told 3 hours later that they won't be getting the test done. She received a note advising ASSUMED POSITIVE and that was that. Quite a few people received the same note. My question is this: What employer is ever going to accept that note and pay you your salary at the same time (as you have to isolate)? What does one use in the fight against your "assumed positive" status? Has anyone provided a list of medications that can be used? Are the clinics supposed to assist with the medication? Or do we have to go and spend money to buy medication? How accurate are these stats they provide us with re: amount of infections when the clinics don't do the tests? When did they stop doing these tests? It's very scary and quite horrifying to hear that the tests are not being done.
My colleague purchased a Bacon/ Chicken/ Mayo roll at the Media Quarter store today. If I could attach a photo of what the contents looked like, then maybe you would understand why I'm querying the price of a roll with the minimal amount of food on it. Two slices of bacon, two pieces of greenery and a little bit of chicken and mayo. Maybe this is the norm for Seattle?
I have a contract coming to an end and called Vodacom - because if you don't give them 30 days notice, it just continues. So I call them, and after entering numbers for various options, I eventually get hold of someone who then advised me that due to my account being in arrears (R100.88), I cannot cancel the contract. I then advise the consultant that the outstanding amount had been added to my invoice for the end of this month and that I was aware what it was for. She opens my account on her side and sees that the amount is not added to my invoice. Which basically means I cannot cancel this ONE contract (out of the many that I have) until the R100.88 is paid up. I then check my invoice and see that et voila! The R100.88 is indeed on my invoice! What did this consultant look at? Why did this consultant bother telling me what the total amount due was? I know what I pay Vodacom as I have been a client with them for more than 10 years. Be that as it may, I eventually get hold of the account department, tell them I made an immediate payment and can they please remove the R100.88 from my invoice as I really don't want to double pay them - especially not after this. Long story short - I have to phone them back in +-2 hours to cancel the contract. How nice
