Four months at Jeep
There is no zero-star rating but this is it. I took my car to Jeep in Midrand 7 times with the same issue, over a period of of 4 months. They kept making me pay for the same issue, and failed to provide me with a loan car after promising me so many times. The promises...the car sitting in the sun with no work taking placa (I stay close by)...and my struggles to take my child to school and get to work everyday. I have become a household name at AVIS, at my cost! WORST SERVICE OF MY LIFE. HERE IS TO THE END OF MY LOVE OF THIS AMERICAN CLASSIC. LET ME GET A CHINESE CAR NEXT!!!

My car STAYS at the DEALER
This is frustrating. My car is at the dealer for the 4th time, with the same warning sign. I have paid twice, and expect to pay again when it is back. The car is returned to be, I drive, few days later it is taken back and stays two weeks. So on and so on. Two things are frustrating me (1) I keep paying (2) They can't even give me a loan car. They say they don't have one, which is unlikely. This is a franchise dealer and I am sure they can make a plan to get me a car. Schools are open now, I uber my son to school daily, and Uber myself to work too. I have had to do AVIS rental three times, and it's just as costly as fixing my car.

MTN - No Contract
So this lady calls me to provide me with a month-on-month offer, that I can cancel anytime. Three contracts. I take up the offer. Few month later I realise that two of the numbers have the same benefits BUT different prices. I call to get the issue fixed. Guess what? This isn't month on month. It's an 18 month contract, and the CANNOT fix mid-contract. I don't have any contract that I was email or anything. So I ask for two things (1) The contract that was sent to be (2) voice recording for the call where I signed up. Guess what??? He can't provide those. Another consultant will help me. It takes 24 hours blah blah blah. I have used MTN for years, but I must say I am both shocked and disappointed.

VW Service - ****
Crazy service. I drop my car at a dealership. 1. They say they need to diagnose the car, for R7000 (before we know what to fix). Among the things to be checked they say they need to strip the injectors (VW doesn't fix injectors). Also need to check the timing belt (irrelevant to why the car was there). 2. I asked to see the diagnosis report from the OBD machine which I am paying to have done (R1800). Apparently it is their policy not to share reports, which I pay for them to do. 3. When I visit the dealership they suggest removing some items from the mountain of checks they will do, and only check what is necessary...sounds like an admission of guilt to me. I am disappointed and can see why many of us are switching to the Chinese automakers.

FNB (First National Bank)

FNB makes money from *****
Here is something interesting. FNB makes money from *****. They have debicheck mandate, which means I can only be debited if I have approved on my banking app. I have rejected a debit order a number of times. Yet, the debit order keeps running on my account. And guess who i have to pay to reverse the unauthorized debit? That's right, I have to pay FNB. FNB is not trying to prevent unauthorized debit orders, they are trying to make money from them. Good plan FNB, it's all about the money after all.

Mercurius Motors Polokwane damaged my car
I called to report leaking coolant. They told me to keep filling it up and bring it when I can. I had explained that there were no warning signs or overheating engine. I took it 2 weeks later, still with no warning signs or trouble driving. They assessed the vehicle, giving me a quote of over R26000. I rejected the quote, opting to take the car for repairs at another dealer. They said they would put the car back as it was, as they had taken things apart to see the fault. When I picked up the vehicle they said it's not drivable, which doesn't make sense since I drove it there with no problems. I drove less than 30kms then it gives me a Check Engine warning light. This was not there when the vehicle was delivered. I didn't receive explanations for this and had to spend R6000 to tow the car away.

Gabriep Motors rip off
I took my car in because it would start. They told me my blow plug controller was faulty and replaced it. I paid around R4000. I took the car back, and had the same problem the next day. They did not bother to refund me, since I clearly paid for nothing!
