Do not trust Takealot. I am a Takealot More subscriber - I know, I’m a fool. Anyways, yesterday (Thursday) I made a purchase and selected same day delivery. Purchase was made within the timeframe for same day delivery. I pay and finalise the purchase. Not long thereafter, I receive an email to say that the same day delivery was cancelled. Delivery pending. I received the item today. Today (Friday), I made another purchase before 10am. Once again, I chose same day delivery, which came up as an option and I was allowed to complete the transaction. Once again, not long thereafter, I get another email saying same day delivery was cancelled and the order is scheduled for delivery on MONDAY!!!! I try to cancel the order because I DO NOT NEED THE ITEMS ON MONDAY, I need them this weekend, and I get told they’ll get back to me in 4 days??????? Money gone, no items received. I call and they tell me someone from Takealot More will call me back. I was reluctant to leave the call because I said they’re not going to call me back. Guess what - NOBODY CALLED ME BACK UP TO NOW. Now you tell me, why am I paying the premium subscription fee ? Takealot forgets that they are not a monopoly and Amazon charges R2 for same delivery and has free delivery options otherwise. To heck with this nonsense.
Just so you know, Makro doesn’t price match. They’d rather turn their customers away. We went there thinking the special that we saw online was with them. Come to find out it was another competitor. They refused to price match because their item was already on sale even though their competitor’s item was cheaper. The item we wanted was R699 at the competitor while the item was R789 at Makro. Needless to say, we drove right to the competitor store and got the item. Thanks for nothing Makro.
So the pin I received didn’t work. No problem. I contact ‘customer service’. This is where the frustration starts. Firstly, their agents have zero etiquette. You may as well be talking to a bot. The only reason you know you’re not talking to a bot is because of the typos. Which they probably built into their AI system to make it look like you’re talking to a human and give you a false sense of comfort thinking that your query is being attended to. They NEVER get back to you when they say they will. They don’t deliver on their commitments either. Query was supposed to be resolved, yet still no parcel and no feedback from any agents.
Please be aware they are ****mers just lost R 7500.00 they do not exist, SAPS has been to premises and that address does not belong to K&M Busy with SAPS case
To cotton on, Express delivery = 3 days and not sooner. Don’t bother contacting their online support because all the consultants are mandated to sing the same song: wait a few hours. Besides that, their definition of 3 days is actually 4, if you include the day of the order. PS, I still haven’t received any tracking info. The consultant told me she will not escalate until ‘DPD’ fails to deliver. Bottom line is that Customer Service is non existent.
Do not TRUST this site. I've previously written about an order placed with them on 22 April - which they have not fulfilled. On 23 April, I purchased the 'mystery deal' and to date, I have not received any further communication of when this will be honored. No delivery details, nothing. And they are non responsive when trying to contact them. On top of that, it looks like they're getting people (probably employees or family members/friends) to rate them high on Hello Peter. BE CAREFUL. They will take your money and you'll never hear from them again. Seems they're trying to ****** as many people as they can before they eventually get caught.
Non Existent Service From Telkom Insurers - Finrite Does this company even exist? They should be called Non-Assurance. They take your premiums, and that’s about the only way you know they’re around. Otherwise, they may as well be a ghost company. Either they’re brilliant scam artists or they have no scruples. Trying to get any sort of assistance or feedback from them is downright impossible. As a senior citizen, they don’t think twice of taking your premiums and think little to nothing of the person on the other end. Are we dealing with robots? If you want to deal with an unethical company, then they come highly recommended. No people skills, no empathy, zero service once you need them the most.
Don’t expect to get your goods within the specified time frames. Don’t expect to be kept informed of the progress. Don’t attempt to call the call centre, unless you have time to keeping choosing option 1 (call and you’ll see what I’m referring to). If you like terrible service (or NO service), then by all means, choose this company.
Absolute appalling service ! Placed an order online for store collection and since payment have received absolute no communication. The lady on the WhatsApp line merely left the chat mid conversation - I’ve never experienced such rudeness in my life!
Buying goods online at clicks is as good as sending your money into cyber space. Then, attempting to get any feedback via their service department (email or telecom) is another mission. To date, I still haven’t managed to get any solid response as to where my parcel is or what the reason for the delay is. Not one person can provide me with any feedback other than :”Wait another 48 hours for someone to get back to you”. Which still hasn’t occurred. *Purchase online at your own risk should be a disclaimer on their website in bold.
