I was given a cellphone mount to the value of R250 fpr my birthday, unfortunately it did not fit my cellphone. I went to Cycke Lab N1 city with the receipt to exchange the product for something else. There was nothing with in the allocated budget that met my needs so I asked to rather get the money back. They refused despite the fact that I had the physical proof of purchase. They demand a bank statement from the bank that shows where the money was spent at their shop. My time and effort to get what they want is worth more than the actual money I am.asking for a refund for. I have been researching and and discussing finance options for a R34000 Gravel bike, their attitude and actions regarding the R250 has cost them the potential R34000 sale. They are not the only cycle shop around
I took out a policy, the information was captured incorrectly to bring the premium down, which would not have benefitted me when i would want to claim (this is advised by the QA consultant who called me 2 days after the policy was activated). I then requested the policy gets cancelled, on the 27th May 2024, they took a debit. i called them, and they apologized profusely and promised to cancel the product immediately. I took their word for that. On the 18 June 2024, I had a niggling feeling i should call and confirm the policy was cancelled. When I called it was confirmed the policy was still active. i requested senior management, the advisor put me on hold then the exact same person came back using the same name and said she was a senior manager. i told her i was angry she refused to put me through to an actual manager, to Which she apologized and promised to cancel the product immediately, i told her i would look in the morning and if it was not cancelled i was going to the FSCA. The Next morning i got an sms stating my policy was active, so i called and they confirmed the policy was still active. I immediately ended the call and sent a complaints email to the FSCA who rep**** with an automated mail stating they take 72 hours to respond. i then went to my bank and reversed the fund that had been debited in May, and blocked the Debit order. the following day i received 2 calls from Motor Plan Direct demanding i pay the money back to them. I explained again to each advisor that the policy is wrongly captured and wont benefit me, i had requested it gets cancelled after I spoke to the QA consultant, and subsequently tried cancelling an additional 2 more times after that. I explained further stating that my requests had been ignored, and i had requested the call recordings and reported the company to the FSCA. I told them i had to reverse the funds and cancel the debit order at my bank. They still have not sent me my call recordings, and as of this morning forced a debit order from my account.
Worst service I have ever received. I registered a scratch and dent claim, I have sent all the information they have requested, and I got an automated reply stating that they will reply in 48 hours. That was 7 days ago. I have tried to resend mails a few times and the only reply I get is the automated one. I have tried phoning several times and nobody answers, and every 10 to 15 minutes a lady (assuming switch board) picks up the call to confirm if I am still on hold, I have tried to leave messages with her. And nobody bothers to reply or call me back. I have now escalated and laid a complaint with the FSCA.
For so long I have just accep, but everything you buy from clicks that is electronic or a machine, or cable or related is a waste of money. You actually get embarrassed about how often **** needs to be returned. Surely the brand would source quality suppliers, but they don't.
Absolutely awesome service. It was fast and efficient, they resolved all the problems. And the manner in which they treat customers was very respectful. Honestly the best service I've had from a dealership
Worst service provider I have ever dealt with. They are perpetually experiencing high call volumes. They never return calls. When you eventually get hold of people they give different answers / excuses every time. I am paying for a 60mbs line my area and router confirm 5g signal but I can get a speed of more than 2 or 3 mbs. They have on my first debit order charged lot more than what was quoted or agreed upon. When I question that they say it is the prorata amount and can't give an answer to the actual prorata I was already charged.
I bought 2 new laptops at R31000 total, These things are just not being delivered, i have phoned multiple times and each time i am given a run around, a different answer and new promises that never get fell filled. the last rep i spoke to thought it was funny and openly laughed on the phone.
Discovery Insure has quite literally given me the worst service I have ever experienced. I was involved in a car accident on the 11th October 2021. Discovery had the vehicle towed to their choice in panel beater, and gave authorization to repair on the 15th October 2021. I have been messed around lied to manipulated and broken promises given by the panel beater for 1.5 months, and they still have not even started with the vehicle repair, despite parts available and sitting at the supplier. I have approached Discovery insure for assistance in this as they are my insurer and have put the car in this particular panel beater. I have sent my claims advisor numerous emails, not only does she not bother to Respond, she does not even acknowledge the mail. I have called Discovery Insure 19 times in the last month, trying to get assistance, and I am forced to speak to the claims department, who inevitably put me on hold for up to 1.5 hours, they just regurgitate what the panel beater tells them which is "there is no parts, the car will be ready on Friday", This has happened 4 Fridays in row, I have personally confirmed parts are at the supplier/ dealership, the dealership has also been begging to have the parts paid for and collected as they are carrying the cost, and every Friday that has been promised the car still has not been started on. Discovery refuse to investigate, and just repeat what was said to them. I have requested to talk to a manager multiple times, and either get put on hold again for up to 1.5 hours, or get promised someone will call me back which they never do. The One and only time I managed to speak to a manager, she was rude, would not listen to my story, and made it very clear that my request for her to help was inconveniencing her and annoying her. she too said she would follow up and revert back to me and this did not happen. I have had on more than one occasion told the advisors to please read the notes on the system as I keep having to explain my story from scratch, and they have told me their is no notes on the system... (Keeping adequate notes and records is in fact a requirement by the FAIS act). I have requested on about 5 different occasions for the complaints department or procedure, each time I get told something different, things like "They don't have a Complaints department", "I need to rather speak to a manager" (who are never available and i get put on hold for up to 1.5 hours), Calls randomly cut as I ask for the complaints department (this has happened more than once). One person gave me the complaints email address, I sent an email explaining my story, no body has responded or acknowledged my email. after the numerous emails and 19 phone calls of exorbitant lengths, and a month and a half trying to get Discovery to help me in either pushing the panel beater to finish the job, or remove the car and take it to a more competent panel beater, I have achieved nothing at all, other than copious amounts of stress as I am forced to deal with this alone, and loss of money as I rely on my car for my income, and the hire vehicle was only valid for the first 30 days. Discovery at no point has cared or attempted to assist at all in any shape or form.
Smael South Africa is a disgrace in the manner they treat their clients, their product quality is terrible, they shipped a faulty product to me once I paid, and refuse to take my calls or respond to my emails, and refuse to fix the situation. they are dishonest and have taken my money and given nothing back but for faulty shoddy product and broken promises. I highly recommend you don't trust them or risk purchasing their products.
