If you want to open a business account. be prepared to struggle for five months and spend more that 24 hours in a bank branch and more than 8 hours on the phone. After that the change is still slim you will have a business account to do business with.
I got a perfect pizza from Pizza Perfect. The previous version was perfect. It was tasty and had the perfect combination of ingredients. The new version is just Salami and Ham. So it is not really something to write home about. Rather try their vegetarian.
It is a nice place to do business with. But do not visit their shops in the last hour before closing. They simply let off all the alarms. My ears were still ringing hours after I left the shop. And they could not assist me because everyone had to shout to be heard over the alarms.
Karoo Café used to be celebrated for its delicious food and inviting atmosphere, but our latest visit was deeply disappointing. The new ownership has shrunk the menu while doubling the prices. I ordered the “lamb” sosatie and was served chicken. The tiniest skewers imaginable—yet the bill still listed it as lamb at R160. Each side salad cost R120 and contained little more than a few cubes of pumpkin and halloumi and nothing else. Service was no better. Every dish took more than 30 minutes to arrive, and our waiter repeatedly urged us to “hurry up” because she wanted to go home. When I tried to order an affogato for dessert, she told me the machines were already being cleaned. We won’t be returning—nor, I suspect, will many others if these changes continue. It’s a shame to see a once-excellent restaurant decline so quickly.
My fibre internet broke down and I am waiting almost four weeks for MetroFibre to fix my internet. The problem is the ethernet ports on my ONT are broken and critical parts of the home infrastructure require it. So this must get resolved as quickly as possible. 15 January I opened a ticket explaining that my ONT is broken. Of the four ethernet ports, 1 was dead and 2 did not want to issue an IP. I got an email I had to send photos proving this which I did. I then called 23 January to get an update on the ticket. A lady answered. She saw nothing had been done and claimed that she then escalated the ticket. I called again on 30 January I called again the one answering just disappeared. I called again and another lady answered. She said the ticket is most probably at the nok. I would get a call within that week. Nothing happened. I called again on 2 February, and a guy answered. He claimed that nothing was done on the ticket yet. He said that the ticket is not even filled in completely yet, like which ports are broken and which are working. Finally, I called on 8 February, and then only someone attempted to look at my ticket, and guess what, I got an invoice from 600 to 2000 for a faulty ONT. This after I have been waiting weeks for anyone to even look at my issue. Now MetroFibre wants me to pay. That is also after I had only wifi for almost an entire month which cost me 1260 per month. And that is with only one port.
I visited Brookdale interested in making a booking at the spa and buying products and the receptionist outright said Brookdale does not want to do business with me. Then she totally ignored me.
We had dinner at the Dros and the waiter added a zero to our bill. So instead of paying more than R500, we paid R5000. It was a nightmare to sort out that.
I seldom had visited a restaurant with such poor service. While we were waiting for our drinks, two customers left due to no service at all. The restaurant did not even acknowledge it when I mentioned that.
My house has very weak cell phone reception. Went to the Vodacom in Brooklyn mall to fix the issue. Instead of logging a fault, I was revered to Vodaworld.
Regarding Fishaways Monumentpark: Fishaways's fish is always amazing. Though, their phone is giving trouble. When I called, the operator simply the phone down in my ear. That is actually really annoying. I finally went and visit in person, and the lady told me the phone is broken. The problem is, it is already such troubles for three months now. Also, it looks like the Fishaways branch is not doing that much business. I would really appreciate that they can fix the phone because their fish is really really nice.
