Absolute Pets Online is the Absolute WORST! Order placed 2 December 2025 with a promise on the web page for delivery after 3 days. A week later and still no delivery; I am told that they are out of stock of some items. I agree to delivery next day with optional refund for missing items. Delivery takes another 2 days and then the battle for the refund starts! Online shopping should be convenient and a time saver. Absolute pets is painful, frustrating and an enormous waste of time and energy.
Absolute pathetic customer service. On the online chat for 3 hours with very limited feedback. The agents asks me to please "hold on" to which I reply OK. She sends the "thank you" emoji and then after an hour messages that me that chat has not been communicated with for some time and that it will now be closed. I can open a new tickets. Webafrica, please sod off.
We lost our sweet boy Gucci in the most unimaginably tragic way yesterday, when we thought that he was in a safe place with people we trusted. His little broken body mauled by other dogs while in the care of Claire MacIntosh at The Hound Hotel. We were not notified of the attack and the severity of it for hours after it happened. And Claire MacIntosh ignored all calls and messages, even when we told her that our baby's life was hanging in the balance and the vets needed more clarity to be able to treat him more effectively. This is not OK. It should not happen, he should not have died so violently. And we have a right to know what happened. Claire MacIntosh you seem heartless and callous. You did not deserve to have him in your care.
I placed an order with a consultant via a Whatsapp Group app (brochure hyperlink) to which she responded that she wanted my address to decide if she would "accept" me as a client. I provided my address and also advised that I was happy to pay for order in advance. Did not hear back after a few days and when I asked for feedback she promptly cancelled my order. I emailed the complaints at Justine only to receive a generic message asking me for an alternative telephone number for the consultant (after I provided her name and cell number). I wrote back to say how terribly disappointed I was (copied in the marketing people), and received zip, zilch, zero response.). Poor customer service, I will place my loyalty elsewhere. I have tried to call your number 0860 542 542 to no avail (cannot even get the phone to ring). We DO NOT want your product, your free cover or your free gift. Pease delete this transaction from your system - it is not authorised. Kindly confirm in writing that this is cancelled.
After 5 days away I expected my car to be at the airport when I landed. To my dismay it was not there, and I had to message and call several times to get my car back. I waited 30 minutes (after a tiring time away and arrival at night). Only later did I see a message that was sent 10 minutes after my scheduled landing that I have to message when I want my car. Why ask for a flight number if you are not going to track my flight? The next day I asked why management had not called me to apologise (as they said he would), and eventually Francois called. He did not think he owed me an apology and did not know why I waited so long for my car. He then started to slate other valet parking services, saying that they race the cars and that I should see where the cars are parked. Very unprofessional to slate other companies in defence of your own poor service. Rather use Express Airport Parking - much better service.
I applied for a new service on 1 November and paid the required amount for the router. Since then it has been like puling chickens teeth. I have to follow up every week - no feedback without prodding. Line was eventually installed a week ago - still no router in sight. Have had to deal with at least 5 different people at Cool Ideas. Shocking service. Do not recommend.
Do not book your ticket through these people - they will suck you dry. I have been hospitalised and asked for a refund that I booked through Travelstart on Airlink - here is their response. Service fee & Travelstart products: R224.44 (Non refundable) Fare and Taxes :R1143.96 Airline penalty : R999.50 Refund admin fee : R0.00 Estimated Refundable amount:R144.46 Refunds usually take 12-24 weeks to be finalized i.e. for funds to reflect on your credit card or bank account but due to the current situation, please expect significant delays in processing on the airline's side.

Fantastic Service, Bernidene has been a pillar of strength and professionalism throughout. This was not an easy transfer, but she kept us up to date (and calm) throughout the process. Thank you Bernidene - you deserve every one of the 5 stars!
