When I signed up with Makro, I specifically checked the box at the bottom of the form that said "I do not wish to be contacted for 3rd party marketing" Makro has given my contact details to other companies to spam call me and try sell me services. Blue Label connect is now contacting me to try sell me services. This is against CPA law and POPI
Numerous unsolicited spam calls from them. No option to opt out. No management of their clients. More frustratingly, every call is dropped as soon as you pick up.
When I signed up it was a simple way to buy and hold shares. No fee's only a broker cost which I was happy with. Now if you're not an "active trader", they bill you. And you have no choice in the matter, I'm not active, when I signed up, there was no"thrive" system. They are now selling off my shares to pay for their introduced fee(punishment) for not being a share trader.
They used to be good, now they offer zero support. Tickets lay open for hours, sometimes days. When you call to follow up, (since they dont answer emails) the support staff have no experience, then tell you to hold and merely put the phone down on you.
So freaking tired of this bank and its backward services. 1. I've been trying to address an issue with my AMX and Greenbacks since 2021!!! Every year they bill for an account that has not worked. My accounts managers at the glen acres branch cant help, SBS assist cant help. This year, they have billed me twice for something I've already paid for. 2. Every silly little thing I need to do, I'm told I have to visit the branch, (this takes me back to the old volkskas days). 3. Their online services are suspended EVERY day for maintenance from 1am to 3am, I had a legitimate emergency that I needed to gain access to my account at 2am. Tip: If you're dealing with offs**** customers on different time zones, DONT use Nedbank
Having ordered the same product 3 times, each time there is either an item missing in the package or the product is defective, I have to return the item each time. The products portrayed on the website do not match the products provided. Takealot service does nothing about this or their bad suppliers.
MFC send you marketing sms's, but then charge you for the sms. I did not request any marketing sms's from them. I also set my primary contact means as email. The nature of the SMS is to offer a "payment holiday" From experience when you take said payment holiday, it goes against your credit record anyway. On a side note, a couple months ago, I was called to add the courier fees of my vehicles license to my finance. My car was only paid up in October. This will generate extra interest on my account.
*******ly obtained my personal information, created an account using this information and persists on spam calling me 5 times a day, even after I have confirmation they removed my information from the system 3 times. They claim the account was created on their website, yet I have never dealt with HomeChoice in my life, I don't even know where they exist.
I have had a mobile contract for R599 for many years, after the first 2 years I paid off the device and the amount was removed from the contract. So I've been paying R529.61 for the last couple years. Recently, Telkom issued a statement saying they would increase these "R599" contracts by R20. So the resulting amount in my case should be R549.61, if you consider the device being paid up. They are now billing me R619! Almost a 19% increase! Having called them their response is, "you can take another contract at R499", shortly after which I was just left on hold for 10mins. I don't want another contract, making me bound to Telkom for another 2 years. I just want you to fix my bill, so I pay for the data only, OR send me another router if you're going to charge me for that.
Boksburg branch is a joke, customer service staff are completely pointless. I was looking for a mirror for my daughters infinity mirror project. I was lied to by the lady at the glass cutting dept, she said there are no mirrors in stock and only stock will arrive in January. I then went back there the next day, bought a "fancy" mirror for R949 because I really needed a mirror. Then I needed a sheet of glass cut for this project, the fellow working in the glass cutting section was super helpful and I assisting him by telling him exactly what I needed, then he showed me the huge stock of mirrors he had too, so I had just wasted R949 for nothing, due to the lady's laziness, to make matters worse, when I returned the "supervisor" was there and he treated me like complete garbage because I had allegedly stepped into an unauthorized area. This place and its staff needs training urgently including its supervisors. I did make mention of this entire debacle to the manager there, but I personally believe, like everything else in this country, nothing will ever be done about this.
