The woman at the entrance, Jacqueline, makes the best pancakes of any Checkers branch. And she is very friendly and always happy to have a chat. A great asset to have for Checkers.
I ordered an item from Amazon Germany and paid for Priority Shipping, which arrived in South Africa and was due to be delivered to me on Monday (25 March). On Monday I get a message from Amazon that the delivery was 'attempted' and is now 'on hold, pending additional information'. I was at home on Monday, no attempt was made to deliver. Today (Tuesday 26 March) I get the exact same message, without anyone attempting to deliver the package. I called the UPS number, and was told that the address is not updated. Firstly, I have ordered from them before, and my address has not changed. Secondly, if that was the case, and an actual attempt was made to deliver, can you not call me to ask what the address is? I paid for Priority Shipping, this is a total farce, and completely disrespectful to the customer. I am not sure when this will now be delivered as they simply state 'Delivery Attempted'.
Ordering from Makro online is punishing. My single order was split into 3 separate deliveries, and one of those deliveries is nowhere to be found. I have emailed Customer Care, and have had no feedback. The customer should not be accountable for following up communications, that is the job of the business. Very frustrating.
I had a *****ulent purchase on my credit card, which I cancelled. I requested a new card be sent (on Monday 8th May). Fnb uses CCD Couriers who are entirely ***********, I cannot believe how terrible this company is at communication. I was supposed to receive my card on the 11th May, after being notified at 16:23 that they were 8 minutes away, luckily I was at home. I then received a phone call asking about the street number, at 16:29. At 18:08 I received an SMS stating CCD were not able to deliver based on my unavailability, I was available, at home, how is this my fault? Today (the 12th May) I get an SMS stating it will be delivered on the 15th of May, I need the card urgently.

On the 15th of April I purchased items via the Website, and selected to collect my items in store at the Greenstone Mall branch. After a few days (more than 5 days later) I made contact as to why there was a delay, I was notified that the package was delivered to the store, but it was at the Mall of Africa branch. Having sent a request to deliver it to Greenstone, I received no further clarification, so I had to follow up (yet again). Today is the 23rd, and after following up, I get an email stating that the item is at Greenstone. Why do I have to keep having to follow up, cant the customer be notified independently?
I placed an order for an in-store pickup on Black Friday, a month later I have nothing, no feedback, no responses to emails. If you are trying to build an online shopping customer base, this is not the way to do it. My order number is 12753
