I ordered sidetables from Makro online. There were several options at various prices for the same item. All showing up from different suppliers and the cost differing a lot. I ordered the one option at R4199 and it showed "only 8 left". After ordering and paying and waiting for a few days - excited that it will arrive on the 10th of October, I got an email to say my refund request has been processed and my money will be send back by the 27th of October. I emailed support@makro to ask who cancelled the order - since I never did. They rep**** days later with explanation that the supplier was out of stock. One simple search delivered results for the item from the same supplier at a higher price and from various other suppliers at different prices. I again emailed and asked why did they not just switch to the other suppliers or contact me to find out if I would like to order from someone else before doing the reversal which will now cost me bank charges and I have to wait a whole month before I get my money back. I wanted to buy this as a gift and now I have to wait for my money to get back into my account before I can order again. How ridiculous is this! What kind of **** are they running? They response from Makro is poor and they DO NOT COMMUNICATE! I am still waiting for a solution without having to go through the bank reversal and waiting period! This is my money that they are playing with and I am not impressed! THE WORST ONLINE EXPERIENCE!
Takealot used to be the best online shop. Recently it has become useless and a nightmare to deal with. No support for customers just a useless chatbot and the same info on the site that is absolutely useless for my issue. The tracking status does not get updated. Waiting a full week into the weekend for a deliver which was said to be delivered the Friday, 5 days after it was ordered and still no update, no communication, no emails NOTHING. DELIVERIES are delayed purposefully to force customers into the R100 subscription. All it's doing is forcing me to shop elsewhere. I am a regular online shopper but Takealot will not be getting my repeat business. Emergency items only and ONLY if I cannot find it anywhere else and I'm forced to shop with them. Amazon SA here is your window of opportunity to take market share and say by to Takealot.
It is MothersDay this Sunday. I bought a gift after seeing the promotion of FREE Chocolates as an extra. I never got the chocolates even after doing all it points out to do. The conditions advertised are minimum spend of R500 excluding delivery fee. The screenshots attached shows clearly the promotion is applicable to Mothersday gifts which pops up on a list under the Mothersday promotion tab. After writing multiple emails to Netflorist complaining about the fact that they did NOT include the chocolates they rep**** with the following: "Hi Leila Ticket: Re: We’ve confirmed your order! Thank you for contacting NetFlorist. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused. Please be advised that as per our terms and conditions, The box of free Lindt chocolate offer only applies to gifts ordered from the Mother’s Day range. Kindly note that the 'Charlotte Rhys Pamper Box And Red Floral Scarf ' is not within our Mother's Day range, due to this reason the free chocolate was not included. We are closing this ticket temporaily as resolved. If you have any query, please ler us know. Should you need further assistance kindly call us on 0861 300600 or respond to this mail and we will gladly assist. Kind Regards Elisha Call Centre Agent" The Website is misleading. NONE OF THE ITEMS listed under the Mothersday tab has the so called "MD" reference on it. THeir explanations are lame and patheritc. They lure customers in to spend money but do not stick to their end of the promotion. It is not about the money. The chocolates are not worth all the effort and certainly not the little amount of money compared to the cost of their items on sale.

Get told it takes 7 to 15business days. But still no info. Emailed again on 29 Sept. NO ANSWER! It's now 4 OCTOBER and NO ANSWER. BAD SERVICE!!!! I ordered a matress on the 7th of March 2023. It was scheduled to be delivered on the 13th of March. Long wait for a short distance plus I had to pay for delivery from Pinelands when they have a store in Meadowridge which is much closer to my area. Monday the 13th came and nobody arrived and nobody emailed or called. I called today to find out what is happening to my delivery and they said they only deliver on a Monday to my area. I insisted I wanted it today and the lady got very rude on the phone and put the phone down in my ear. I am very upset and paid good money for what I hope to be a decent mattress - but received NOTHING! I WANT MY MONEY BACK! How do we deal with such bad customer service that now seems to be the norm. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Really bad customer service over the phone. Unfriendly and not willing to even listen to the customer before putting you down and telling you what they want to say. Goods arrived via the worst courier services which I had to pay extra for. The one item was not the same as indicated on the website. I will be going back to Takealot or go to the shops by foot. Never will I use this online shop again!
When you pay for door to door delivery and eventually decide to track the driver down and collect the parcel from him on the road... after spending the morning going from depot to driver - trying to get hold of the right person who has the parcel - then only to be told they do another route on a Friday so my parcel will be delivered later. Why have information on the website if it is not valid? Go with reputable companies next time even if it costs double! Sad that when you support the small business guy it backfires in your face. #neveragain
Starting with my order, it was not handled professionally. After two weeks of not receiving my order I investigated. They blamed the courier and said they had incidences of theft before so will send another parcel. The parcel eventually arrived. No apology for the delays. I have been using the product but instead of improvement I have been experiencing more severe pain. Whether it is as a result of the product or not, I can only speculate but as for their promise of immediate improvement, I have not seen any. It has been more than a month since I started using it. Disappointing to say the least.
Worst business practice. No ethics, don't know how to treat or speak to clients especially woman. Manager threatened to physically remove me from his office and drown me in a river and called me a piece of ****. This after towing my son's bike after a minor accident telling him he has no choice but to use their sevices or insurance won't pay out. My son has no knowledge of towing as this was his first accident. This company should be closed down and prevented from operating. I've never in my life been treated by anyone in this manner let alone by a business manager. This manager at the Retreat branch should never be allowed to work woth public. His name is Paul and clearly do not have any training in customer relations.
I need help to sort out this Telkom nightmare. Cancelled my account in March 2018. Received email stating they received it - automated reply. No calls, no communication that there is a problem or anything of that nature. Two months later received bills and still the bills are coming. I was declined car finance due to outstanding Telkom bills which translates as bad credit record and this after I was a loyal paying client for more than 5 years with Telkom. I am unable to get any response from Telkom after emails and emails and more emails. NO Telkom shop are willing to assist and there is no direct office information that I know of where I can go to resolve this. Just the Telkom numbers where they let you hang on forever and eventually cut your call. Please help!
