I booked a mobile grooming service (first time ever) for my elderly Westie. They arrived and I briefed them in depth that he was old (therefore a bit grumpy), had numerous lumps across body that they should look at before using the the clippers. I left him with them and went into my house. A few minutes later I heard my dog screaming and went to see what was happening. I found the lead groomer holding him while he was screaming. I took him of him and asked what was going on. The groomer said he was using the dryer on him and he was unhappy. Never in 12 1/2 of grooming had this ever happened! No dryer was in sight in their van and he was towel drying the dog. I sent them on their way. After calming him down it was clear that they had started trimming him so the story about a dryer was a blatant lie. I suspect that he was not compiling with the groomers wish and he was struck/dropped for him to be so traumatised. These guys need to come clean! Stay well away!!
I referred my girlfriend here. She has a miniature long haired Daxie. She asked explicitly that they do not use anything other than scissors under her belly and legs. This is due to her skin allergy. Yet they did and this little girl is in agony! They sent “cream”, an acknowledgement of their mess I guess? Never again Sloppy Kisses!!
Each month one goes to buy essential items the prices have spiked “out of control”. Shaving blades from R289 to R349. A simple item like Lip nice from R12.99 to R18.99. Dove soap now R21,99 per bar? These guys under the new CEO (Rui) are focused solely on maximising their individual shareholder profit/wealth rather than focus on the economic battles consumers face! Disgusting! I shall not return unless absolutely necessary. Which I doubt! Bunch of “*******’s”. Please don’t buy at a Dis-Chem store. Allow them to feel the pain of their personal greed!
The most disgusting RIP-OFF by any auto-dealer ever. Never use Mercedes Bryanston ever! Their hourly rates and prices are over the top! Like ridiculous. Service is seemingly okay, nothing great, but their prices!! Has a Merc badge so lets charge as much as we get away with, until someone complains, then we "quickly discount by 2.5%". Stay away from anything to do with Motus!! They are a RIP-OFF place. Driver told me they are not performing as expected, so retrenchments and heavy price increases. RIP-OFF company, because of their poor management the consumer must pay astronomical prices. Standard hourly rate or R1800 per technician (irrespective of qualification)! Who earns R1800 per hour in the automotive industry as a technician! Shows how they are RIPPING people off!
Taking a Mercedes Benz for a simple Service B set me back almost R22,000.00 The service alone is almost R13,000.00. My battery (according to them) needed to be replaced as it was faulty (no trouble starting the vehicle) which cost another R9,000.00 to replace plus labour! where do these people buy their batteries? It has a Merc sticker on it and at the very least a 50% plus mark-up. The Service Assistant, told me when I enquired about the cost of the battery that labour to install it was based on their standard rate of R1,800.00 per hour. Now, you don't need a nuclear scientist to replace a car battery, and it takes perhaps 15 to 20 minutes to do. I was, however, quoted R1,800.00 to do this job. What an absolute RIP-OFF these guys are. A standard hourly rate of R1,800.00 (I am sure they only pay the technician a couple of hundred rand per hour, if that) means that each technician is charged at R14,400.00 per day (based on an 8 hour day, but they have a lunch and tea which you need to pay for), translates into R288,000.00 per technician per month (these guys must earn big salaries)! The Mercedes Bryanston dealership has at least 10 (plus) technicians on the tam so no less than R3,456,000.00 per month from servicing vehicles. Most services are done automatically via a diagnostic application to advise if there is anything major wrong, other than that a few new air filters, oil changes and brake fluid are replaced. Say away from these guys, they are a RIP-OFF and their pricing is insanely high! When you challenge the Service Advisor the response is "I can ask the Service Manager for a discount to be app****". ***!! They want you vehicle there at 07:00 and you can fetch it between 16:00 and 17:00. The entire service probably takes no longer than 3 hours at best! RIP-OFF's!! Stay away
Chanelle Hechter was very professional in her dealings with me and fully explained my new policy with me.
I sold a holiday house and all contents in August 2023. Cancelled the TV license in December 2023. These idiots don’t “allow” that and despite sending multiple documents to prove the sale they continue to harass and threaten me with SMS’ about credit records etc. These guys are absolutely useless!! Not to mention, irritating! Trying “Big Brother” tactics!!
Having being quoted R2,200 for a "major' Service the car was delivered. I was later called to say that an inspection had identified that the wiper blades needed to be replaced (done a year ago), the front brake discs needed to be replaced etc. No price was given for the work. I collected the car to be presented with an invoice of almost three times that was expected. Very poor service all round and an absolutely poor attitude from the staff based based on my complaint. Not even an apology. Watch out for these guys!! They have serviced the car for at least 3 years but will never see me again!
On Monday 1 August 2022 Multichoice processed a debit order for my monthly premium subscription. Nothing unusual there, except that instead of the debit order being for R839 it was processed for R4,199.36. I have contacted Multichoice via there pretty useless Call Centre, each day since then, speaking to a different agent on each occasion (they don't give reference numbers for calls) having to repeat the story from scratch each time. Each agent has assured me that they have escalated the call to the correct department and that someone will call me back regarding a refund within 15 to 20 minutes. Today is 5 August, I have never been called back and I still do not have a refund! One cannot get to any person of authority within Multichoice as they simply hide behind a Call Centre agent unwilling to engage their customers!! Please can someone from Multichoice contact me?
This business knows nothing about customer service. They constantly tell you different reason for why you vehicle is not ready for collection and none of the excuses match. They promise to call you with an update on progress but you never hear from them. You are told that they are working on the car only to arrive there in person to see the car standing in a open field opposite their business with nobody near it. The vehicle was supposed to be ready on Saturday 26 February (third date provided) but a surprise visit on 1 March shows that the vehicle is nowhere near complete. Absolutely appalling service with no sense of urgency!! They are lucky to get one star it should be none!
