How many of your telephone operators have to try and phone to get business? I made the mistake of entering my information on the Hippo website for possible car insurance. While I was on a call with one of your salespeople ....there was 18 other incoming calls from King Price while I was on the phone with your consultant. The call confirmed all the information filled out on the Hippo site which took 24 minutes, and then the price that was quoted on the Hippo site had magically increased by more than R600pm with a laughable excess of R9500, absolutely ludicrous. I have blocked every single number that has tried to contact me. Please remove me and my information from your database, I want nothing to do with your company ever again. Either from Hippo or yourselves my information has been spread far and wide and continual calls keep coming. Does the POPI Act not apply to you?
Do not share information on the Hippo site.... Against my better judgement I filled out my information on their portal. I have been pestered for 3 days solid by literally hundreds of car insurance sales people, life insurance salespersons and investment companies. I wanted comparative pricing to the insurance I already had, the pricing that I received from Hippo and then the phone calls confirming exactly the information filled out was completely different. With every phone call lasting in excess of 26 minutes each. It seems that the information I filled in on the website was sold to everyone and their dog. With one insurer, whilst I was on the phone with one of their agents I recieved 18 phone calls from the same company while I was confirming what I had filled out on the Hippo site, as well as other incoming calls from other insurers. Then at the end of the discussion, the premium quoted was over R600 more than what was initially quoted on the list sent by Hippo..... What a total waste of time. One of the so called great insurers increased the premium by more than R200 pm just because of the colour of the vehicle I was buying. If I remember correctly on the Hippo questionaire there was no mention of colour of vehicle anywhere. I do not believe that Hippo actually gives you the best deal, they are driven by money... all the insurance companies that quoted are the mainstream heavy marketers that spend huge amounts of money on marketing, none of which were even close to the insurance company I signed a policy with. So much for the POPI Act.
It seems there is no way you can pay this company, I have a loan with them, I had an issue one month with my salary and the debit order was returned unpaid. I do not want to speak to anyone there they can communicate with email..... but NO but they try phone you every half an hour all day long and fill your mailbox with more unwanted adverti*****ts of products no one wants. Obviously they are a problem, because every number is blocked on Truecaller as a pest / **** but they persist, If there is a number not yet listed on Truecaller and you try phone back, you get the message "the number you have called does not exist, please redial carefully"??????. Just send me an email with my account number and an account number I can transfer money to and there will be no need for me to speak to anyone. Truly one of the most frustrating companies I have ever had to deal with. I do not have time during the day to speak to time wasters.
I receive monthly a SMS's stating that my account is in the negative of R2,50, I try every month to get hold of customer services to enquire as to why there is this amount outstanding. My vehicle payment is on debit order, which goes off every month. The number they have 0860 879 900 is never answered, just cuts you off when you dial it. There was once I got through about a year ago, where I was told it was a clerical error, I must ignore it, yet I still get the SMS every month.
Want to commend the Kloof Medi-Clinic on the treatment I received on my recent visit to the hospital. Extremely professional and helpful in every way. Absolutely terrible service and no feedback, if one can stay away from this company do so... Boasts about giving a loan in 3 hours, been 4 days and have uploaded all requested documents twice. When I phoned in was kept on hold for 25 minutes, had to phone back again and was told that it would be sorted out right away. So the urgency of the required loan went away so I have now cancelled the application.
I recently bought a vehicle from Citton Cars, what an amazing experience. Finally a dealership that has realised what service is all about. I was kept up to date continually as to where my application was... what was the next step etc. I would recommend anyone to deal with this dealership. Thank you Martin Van Jaarsveld.
I recently purchased the mentioned Bennet Read XTR2000W Pressure Washer, what a disappointment. It must be the worst purchase I have made in the last 5 years. It states 150bar pressure what a joke, Previously I owned a yellow and black machine which had a lower pressure rating, lower wattage power consumption, which out performed this excuse of a pressure washer. The soap dispenser does not work, which incidentally I had read on a review but decided to ignore it, thinking that someone had use an incorrect soap. It is so under powered that I ended up getting irritated and disconnected pushed it into the storeroom. I am totally upset that I decided to buy something a little cheaper than the yellow and black one..... what a waste of money. In this case local is NOT lekker.
I received notification to dis-invest my Retirement Annuity I have with Old Mutual, I confirmed that I wanted to dis-invest, I received no feedback. I called in, spoke to someone who rep**** by email, they asked me to complete documents which I did, and supp**** documents they required from me. I emailed the documents through to the email address supp****. I received no feedback. I sent an email asking for feedback or an update... NO Reply. I then resent another mail asking again for an update or feedback... NO Response. I have tried a number of times to phone the specified number, I go through the menu to be told that they are unable to assist and that I must try again later??? This is being going on since the 2nd March 2023... 3 1/2 months, how long does it take to answer to a query?
Experian SA decides whether any normal person can get finance, a loan or anything that needs a financial background check... What a load of rubbish, according to my credit score from a different organisation my credit score is not too bad, in fact higher than average. I have been paying my loans and mostly keeping my accounts on track. Just for interests sakes I went to check my credit score with them. They returned a report full of absolute rubbish, places I have never worked at before, addresses I have never lived at before and telephone numbers which I have not had for 20+ years. If this is the type of information the banks and financial institutions rely on to grant any type of financial assistance then there is something grossly wrong with the system. I have a loan with African Bank, have been paying monthly on a debit order from my account and according to Experian I have missed a payment. I forwarded through statements proving that all payments have been made and they replied saying that African Bank has to correct it and they have no control over the information they have been given and that they have 60 days to do it. Well Experian... It is way more than 60 days and I believe you people still have absolutely no idea what you are doing. I see on a daily basis people with no past credit history buying vehicles, houses etc. and using the financial institutions to finance them. Just because I have a steady job, one name, one place of residence, one ID number and one email address which is more than 25 years old I am traceable and to the best of my ability abide by rules, cannot get a good credit score and when a check is done on my ID, I am not worth assisting, everyone has ups and downs. Yes I have a judgement on my name for a rental dispute from 6 years ago which I have been to court for and am paying it off. I have not defaulted on that payment even when I retrenched during the Covid pandemic's lockdown.
