I cannot speak for the other branches of bigfoot but the George western cape branch is excellent. I have now used them twice to transport large solar panels. Have already received 38 panels via bigfoot couriers with inverters and batteries etc. The driver was friendly and assisted in the offloading of the panels. Even went out of his way to split the amount of panels between 2 sites in the same town. Bigfoot george and their drivers are fast and reliable and they do go the extra mile. Excellent service and would defenitely use them again.
I bought a Hisense 43" Smart 4K TV from takealot less than a year ago. The TV started showing random lines vertically across the screen on random occasions. After quite a while it started getting to the point where I cannot use it anymore as I use the TV as a computer monitor. Found out that even though it has a 48 Month warranty I could not return it via takealot and had to contact hisense directly for the warranty. I did so by reporting it on their website. No response. looked up their email and sent them a long email with photos, screenshots, invoices, serial and model numbers etc. Everything they could have needed on the 8th of April 2025. I was then contacted back and they sent a technician to come and test the TV. He arrived on the 24th of April and found the TV faulty, wrote his report and left leaving the TV with me. It is now more than a Month later and no replacement TV or refund was made. So I have now waited more than 2 months for hisense to the replace or refund. Had to buy another screen in the meantime as I cannot keep waiting for them to replace the TV. The TV was running on a online UPS the entire time I owned it so no blaming loadshedding. Even though the TV clearly states it is "LOADSHEDDING PROOF". Very pathetic service from hisense. The people from Hisense I have contacted are: Sandisiwe Mtshizana (Service Operations); Lee-anne Paul(Senior Representative) ; Phumzile Makhonjwa (Service Department) ;
The only reason I am giving amazon a 1 star review is because of their choice in courier service. They make use of DPD LASER and it is the most pathetic courier company in existence. First package I had to wait 2 weeks for it to travel 120km. Allegedly the driver was on leave. Imagine a courier company with only one driver. What a BS excuse. Second order was missing and 3 days later damaged. They did not notify me or amazon. instead I had to call to find out and then had to call amazon. Amazon sorted a replacement in record time only to ship it with DPD LASER again. Now it is missing again. Cannot be delivered because of delayed pickup or some or other BS. Cannot tell me where my order is anyways. They promise to escalate it and call you back with an update. They NEVER do. Will not buy from amazon again as long as they use DPD LASER for deliveries. JUST check out all the reviews on DPD LASER and then you will wonder why on earth does amazon use them.
I am lost for words. How a company like this can exist in this time is just mindboggeling! Cannot understand why amazon would use the most pathetic courier company in existance. Firstly I had to wait 2 weeks for a fridge to be delivered( it only had to travel 120km). DPD laser had it on day one. They always promise to escalate it and call you back but that never happens. had to take 4 days off and they never came on any of those days that they had put out for delivery. Reason was that the driver was on leave. ***, how can a so called courier company only have one driver? LIES! Second order shipped with them was a TV. They could not tell me where it was for 2 days and on the 3rd day they told me it was damaged in transit. They did not call me or amazon to say that it was damaged instead they waited for me to call and then told me that I should call amazon and arrange for a refund. So I did and ordered another one. That one is now missing because of late collection or some or other BS excuse. Don't EVER use DPD LASER unless you want to wait forever, have your stuff broken or ******.
Utterly pathetic service. Applied for a dsl line from telkom on the 4th of March 2022 and still not installed and it is now the 31st of March 2022. First application was approved and a date was set for installation so I had to take off work to be home so it could be done but openserve was a no show. Waited for 2 weeks and nobody showed. Called telkom again and asked why it has not been done yet and they told me it was canceled. I asked why and they had no reason. So the lady told me to reapply. I did that and it was once again approved and a date for installation was was received via sms 2 days later. That installation appointment was yesterday. Had to take another day off work to be home for it to be done and guess what.? Again a no show. Nobody contacted me to let me know what was going on or that it won't be done on the appointment date. So now it is almost a full month that I have waited for the installation of my dsl line and missed 2 days at work and still no dsl. Service is pathetic and communication from them does not exist. Don't make appointments with client if you cannot keep them. And at least let us know if you are going to be a no show. The sms will now follow as proof. Got a new contract from cell C. 100GB day and 100GB night fixed home internet. Have had complaints logged for bad quality internet, Extremely slow when working, connects and disconnects all the time so working from home was impossible.logged 7 faults and called more than 20 times. within the first 20 days of having the contract I was without internet for 8 days. Called them to have the contract cancelled and now I have to pay more than R2000 for the cancellation. Did some research and found that cell c sold me a product that is not supported in my regoin. We have no LTE in my region. not even close or even in the neighbouring towns. I have had no support, no feedback on my reported faults and nobody able to help. everybody at the call centres just tell me I have to pay to have it cancelled. I have 4 contracts with cell c and have been a loyal customer for more than 15 years. I am not willing to pay for the cancelation nor am I willing to pay for a service I did not receive. Very unhappy with them and feel like taking all my contract over to someone else. Very bad service, very bad reception and the support is just telling me that I have to pay. Watch me and see if you get another cent from me till this is all resolved.
Hi, I have placed an order for a complete hikvision 16channel cctv system on the 3rd of march 2020. The 2TB harddrive in the package was dead on arival and I put in a request for a return. The harddrive was collected and booked into the takealot warehouse to be checked and refunded or returned. Today is the 24 june 2020. So it has been almost 4 months and I have not received a return or a refund. I have sent more than 20 emails, called almost 20 times and given them 4 months to sort this out and yet nothing has happened. Very very dissapointed. Will not reccomend buying from them especially if it is electrical components as they do not intend of givving a refund or return. Utterly patchetic
Bought a airflow meter for a mazda mx6 from them. After getting the meter I had no chance of installing it as I was not home then. When I saw the airflow meter after opening the small box with the item just wrapped in bubble wrap I could immediately see that it was not a new airflow meter but a second hand one that has nicks and bumps and had all the original stickers removed. Also the item did not come in a sealed bag as airflow meters should come if they are new. But I was desperate at that point and did not mind it being secondhand as long as it worked. But it did not work. Installed it in the car and everything was a mess. Idling was horrible with black smoke out the exhaust. Called a specialist in george and asked him what to do. Reset the ecu and its even worse. Unplugged the airflow meter and it gets better. Put back the old one and idles fine. Reset the ecu again and plugged in the new second hand one and back to horrible. Tested it on a ohm meter and readings are incorrect. Called them and told them the item was faulty and they won't replace because 7 days have already passed. Fine the 7 days are past but does selling a broken second hand item still qualify as a new item? Closest place for me to do diagnostics on the car is george and that is 170km away. So how am I anyways supposed to get there and back and off work and the part back within 7 days. Highlighted all the reasons they will not do a refund on the invoice. They saw me coming and took me for a expensive ride as paying R2000 for a broken second hand part is daylight robbery. Don't buy from them as they sell second hand stuff as new ones. I am not the first to complain. These skelms should be closed down as they rip people off.talked to rashied and all he says is no replace as its after 7 days. Contacted and notified them on day 8. Won't go the extra mile to help people just going the extra mile to rip people off. Don't support them. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
