Usually using eNaTIS to renew my car and trailer license discs is a wonderful experience. I rave about the process as I no longer stand in queues for hours at the post office or license department, I get an sms reminder, go online, pay, and I have my discs within a week. No such luck this time. Firstly my reminder came after my discs had expired. I wasn't worried because I usually get the disc in about 3 days from paying. I get a message from SkyNet on 29th Nov to say the delivery would be made in 3-5 working days. It is now the 9th Dec, no sign of a delivery and SkyNet and Natis are unreachable. I am R1 400 out of pocket and have no license discs. Why does Natis use such a terrible and unreachable courier service. Are they even in business anymore? I am quite desperate as I do not know how to get my discs.
I ordered and paid for my Car and 2 trailer license discs through Natis in late November and on Friday 29 November got a message to say my documents were on their way and would be with me in 3-5 working days. Strange, since I usually get my licenses in 2-3 days from renewing. Well, today is the 9th December and not sign of a delivery. When I call SkyNet, there messages assure me that my call is valuable to them, and that I am going through to an operator, but I have never spoken to anyone. My tracking ends with my licenses at the Durban depot on 29th November. I have no idea what to do, will Sky Net pay my fine when Metro Police see my disc has expired? What is Natis responsibility in this? Has SkyNet liquidated quietly or has Natis not paid them, so our discs are being held ransom? Unfortunately customers are in the dark, they have our money and discs and we have no way of getting help.
Alexander Forbes holds the pension funds for the National Bargaining Council for the Electrical Industry of S.A.. We had 7 staff deregister at the end of June 2024 and application for their pensions to be paid out in full to them was made 1 July 2024. I have confirmation that the submission to Alex Forbes was made on 11 July 2024. We were told it would take 3 months, which is fairly long, but we accepted that. To date, 2 of our staff have been paid, the other 5 have still not been paid. We were also meant to be given statements of account for all staff in July. These were only delivered to 8 November after being requested twice. Our staff are feeling very frustrated and disillusioned at the incredibly poor service provided by Alex Forbes who have held onto their money for longer than is necessary. It has also required hours and hours of extra work to continually follow up on this matter.
It can be hard work dealing with big corporate companies, especially with a huge move towards AI and impersonal IT systems like SAP. But every once in a while you come across people who are still available and incredibly helpful and friendly. One such person is Noxolo Dladla at Natref Durban Operations. She is a credit to her job and company. We need more people like her in businesses across South Africa. Thank you Noxolo!
Hi We use The Courier Guy all the time, but this time we have has SUCH a disappointment. We had an urgent collection and delivery withing Durban to an important customer. We ordered the Same Day Flyer and paid. They collected the next day, then didn't deliver that day, said that they couldn't contact our client, yet when I called his mobile he picked up immediately. I called the depot, they said they were talking to the driver and said they would call me back.....I am still waiting.
We galvanized a roof rack which my husband made. Andries was fantastic. He told us how to prep the racks and they did a great job. He runs the very busy yard with energy, order and authority while delivering great customer service. Andries is a real asset to the business. SA needs more men like him in charge of businesses!
I have a Recharger account and there are two payment portals I can use. One was offline and when there was a glitch in the other system and my tokens were not sent to me, I had to contact Syntell to redeem the money. I was fortunate enough to deal with Thato Ntsondwa who was AMAZING! She phoned and emailed regularly until my tokens and refunded money was sent to me. Good, friendly customer service and successful problem solving is a rare thing these days. I so appreciate it. Well done Syntell!

My daughter wanted to aupair overseas and after chatting to friends, they recommended Cultural Care Au Pair. We approached them and immediately had a response and invitation to an online meet and greet where they could hear about the process and ask questions. She then progressed through her application process online and had an interview with an employee of Cultural Care Au Pair who was very helpful and encouraging. Soon after she was contacted by two suitable families. All made possible through Cultural Care Au Pair's very organised and structured systems. She had a call with one family who immediately asked, through the website, to pair with her. She then accepted online and declined the other family, all made so easy through their website. She then had a call from a Cultural Care Au Pair contact in the USA to again check that she was happy to pair with this family. She is now working her way through the checklist of documents and going to start training. I am seldom in contact with such a well run business and am just so impressed with them. They instill a real sense of confidence that you are not just sending your daughter out into the great unknown, but rather that she will be well looked after and have a remarkable experience, whilst helping a family.
Our company account was closed in December 2019, after Telkom dragged their heals for 6 months after our initial request in June 2019. They still billed us for Jan and Feb 2020. Now we have a debt collection company hounding us. Telkom has stolen weeks of my time trying to sort this out. Is there no Ombudsman who oversees Telkom?
