Why I wont recommend Smash Auto Body.
If I could give zero stars I would. I cannot vouch for the quality of their workmanship, as it has been 2 months and 6 days since my car was booked in for repairs due to hail damage. I can write an excuses manual with all the excuses they've given me for why the car isn't ready yet, from waiting for authorisation to waiting for parts, to the weather. Forget about getting regular updates. I had to call for updates and got the run-around, with my car supposedly ready by tomorrow for a full week now and still not there. They always promise to call back within 5 minutes after speaking with the owner, but the call never comes, forcing me to call again and receive the same stale platitudes. All I can say is don't use Smash Auto Body if you want any kind of service.

Bad customer and worst workmanship #MASEPA
I had one of the worst experiences at Smash Auto Body. From the start, communication was poor and unprofessional. I was given unrealistic timelines, and my vehicle was not ready when promised — with no proactive updates or explanations. The quality of the work was also disappointing. After collecting my car, I noticed visible imperfections in the paintwork and finishing. It felt rushed and below standard for the amount charged. When I raised my concerns, the staff were dismissive instead of trying to resolve the issue properly. Customer service makes a big difference, and unfortunately, this place lacks accountability and professionalism. I would not recommend Smash Auto Body to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality repairs. Good luck go the rest of you.

Dishonest and no accountability at all.
This people are deceiving and operate in bad faith. I took my car for a quote and I was told that my car can be repaired in two days, then I accepted the quote, submitted my car on a Monday with the belief that I would get it by the end of the week. Only to have my car worked on two weeks after I gave it to them, at that time I consistently had to call for an update which never came forth. I would always get a, let me go check and they would never come back to me. On constant follow up they would give me different timelines of collection, which kept on being moved upto 6 weeks from date of my drop off, of the car. On my collection of the car, i found the towing equipment of my car was taken, which I dropped the car with. I told them about this, even showed them photos of that equipment, which I took on the day of the drop off, and they said they look into it, I kept enquiring about it, and they have been saying they will replace them, but till today nothing has happened, I am still missing those equipment. I had to stay in the premises from morning till collection, just to get my car. Dealing with this people was just a pain in the ****. I wonder if there is any place where I can report or lay complaints about their service, cause it is really bad. The personnel's attitude is one that tells you that they have enough work and they don't need your business. I will never refer anyone to this company.

Terrible service. ****** and dishonesty.
This is the most shocking experience I've had. The manager who is clearly *********** removed the rear quarter window and could not fit it back properly because he damaged the clips during the removal. When I went back to fix the issue, they still couldn't do it right. Jolani Fourie then got involved and denied the whole thing and said the window was not removed, even after their receptionist confirmed the window was removed. She refused to show me the CCTV footage and had the audacity to call me a ******. This kind of ****** and dishonesty is disgusting, and I won’t stay silent. Action will be taken against this blatant ************** and terrible treatment of black customers!!

Overall a terrible experience. Firstly they gave an estimate of ten working days only for them to take more than twenty working days. Adding to that, the car was given to us with other things not fixed meaning we had to take it back several times for the issues to be checked out, leading to the car spending even more time at the workshop. There were parts missing, a mirror falling off, and wind coming into the car because of a missing panel piece even though they claimed the car went for an inspection. You'll be better off taking your car elsewhere.

Worse service ever
If your insurance refer you to smash auto body please say no. My insurance referred me there for hail damage,just to fix the body. Now my car is falling apart.The lights inside are not working,my mobilized is not working. The rubbers around the doors and windows are falling out. They are not helpful at all. They just want you to take your car and leave.The took my roof liner out. Yooo it's a lot

Worse service ever
If your insurance refer you to smash auto body please say no. My insurance referred me there for hail damage,just to fix the body. Now my car is falling apart.The lights inside are not working,my mobilized is not working. The rubbers around the doors and windows are falling out. They are not helpful at all. They just want you to take your car and leave.The took my roof liner out. Yooo it's a lot

Bad workmanship and theft of item in my car.
I am very disappointed in Smash Auto Body's service for 3 reasons. When I received our car back for a minor dent repair: 1. A body panel they worked on was loose. 2. The door on the side of the damage was badly misaligned. 3. Our battery starter pack costing R1,850 was ****** from the cubbyhole. They have pictures showing that they device was still in the cubbyhole when they received the car. They are not interested in compensating us for the damage. I do understand that we were supposed to remove all valuables from the car before check the car in. Overall, the experience was just bad.

Selfish staff
I do not recommend them,all they had to do was quote the insurance for additional damages which was obviously not visible on the photos because the assessment was done using photos.They are unavailable when you need feedback...only call you when they done which doesn't help because not everything is fixed when you get there and that's exactly what they want...
