I received bad service at Steers in Tygervalley shopping center, Cape Town. I ordered a Lemon and Herb quarter leg, they said it would take 15min, I went to check on it 7 minutes after that 15 min waiting period, they put it on the griller with no flavor, I asked for sauce and that teller assistant just pointed at the dispenser, only when she saw me struggling with the jar she assisted, it was the manner of the service that upset me, when I got home since I ordered a takeaway, my meat was white with no flavor

This is a warning to anyone considering Steer & Co for property management or rental services. My experience with them has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Rather than showing respect and safeguarding the rights of tenants, Steer & Co has treated me with a dismissive attitude and has held onto funds that rightfully belong to me. I recently gave notice to vacate Unit 9 at Riebeeck Court. On 13 September, I formally requested the refund of credited funds totaling R1500. Despite numerous follow-up emails and phone calls, Steer & Co has still not transferred this money into my account, and I have received no helpful response or explanation. It’s unacceptable to be ignored and dismissed in this way. If you're considering Steer & Co, be cautious—they have shown a lack of respect, transparency, and professionalism in handling my funds. I cannot recommend them based on this experience, and I urge others to consider this review before trusting Steer & Co.

This has been the worst service delivery ever. It has been 4 weeks since they were notified that the geyser at my home has burst. Till now it has been back and forth with them and the insurance and no feedback provided unless a follow up is done from my end and till today no positive feedback as to when the geyser will be replaced. My 73 yr old mother is with me and it is an inconvenience and extremely difficult to ensure water is boiled on the stove then carried to the bathroom. Also I have 3 minors which my mom takes care of as I am at work. No consideration at all yet they expect the levi payment to be on time each month. Absolutely pathetic for a managing agent

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding my recent interaction with Sandi Nel, the portfolio manager at Steer & Co. Upon receiving a substantial rental increase of nearly 20%, I promptly reached out to Steer to seek clarification, as such a significant raise seemed unjustified. Regrettably, the response I received from Ms. Nel was not only ill-mannered but also lacked the professionalism and empathy one would expect in such circumstances. In my attempt to negotiate the increase, a process that has typically been collaborative and amicable in past interactions with management agents, Ms. Nel informed me that Steer & Co is mandated to act solely on behalf of the owner. Despite providing valid comparables and proposing a reasonable 10% increase, Ms. Nel asserted that the owner was comfortable with the proposed increases and would not consider any reductions. I find it disconcerting that, despite my unit lacking basic furnishings such as a stove or curtain rods, the assessment appears to be inaccurate. What exacerbates the situation is that my proposal was not even taken back to the owner for consideration. In stark contrast to my experience, my own dealings in high-end rentals involve a maximum 10% increase this year, with a genuine openness to valid negotiations with tenants. Ms. Nel's response, suggesting I scout the market for better options, was both dismissive and unsympathetic. This stands in stark contrast to the professional and respectful approach I have encountered elsewhere in the industry. Given my firsthand experience, I feel compelled to caution prospective tenants considering Steer & Co and owners seeking management services. The conduct displayed by Ms. Nel is not representative of the level of professionalism and consideration one would expect in this fiercely competitive industry. Shame on you Steer and co for allowing an employee to speak and treat anyone this way. When this was brought to your attention NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. Disgusting !

Worst service, you wait more that hour and half, just to get your food cold. This being the 3rd time we order from Philip Nel Park with the same waiting time. Worst experience from any takeaways.
