The worst customer service evwe from the booking lady Hailey or whatever her name is. The attitude received on the last day was the worst. She spoke to me like a little child, raised her voice at me and also threw her hand at me and walked away. Based on her attitude i wouldn't ever recommend this place. Emotionally hurt by her treatment. She also refused to pay me back my R500 breakage fee just cause i was disputing the booking arrangement.

Sunrise.. 'WHERE IS OUR REFUND OF R5185. 00. You guys have misled us and wanted to charge us a rate of R300 per visitor, nkt guest during our stay and we disagreed and both parties agreed upon us just staying for the night and leaving the next morning. We paid for one night as instructed by Hanelee to Gugu. On our way out we see that Sunrise struck a payment of R4635. 00. Upon query you guys were trying ro beat around the bush and have nit resolved our issue as yet. Is it even legal to charge a rate of R300 per visitor. And this is not even one of your rules when booking. If it was one of the rules we would glady accept. The arrogance and abuse we get from sunrise beach resort is totally unfair. Can a responsible and fair person please get in contact with me and try and resolve this at this level as I am getting nowhere when we get trough to the office. AND OUR DEPOSIT AMOUNT HAS NOT BEEN REFUNDED AS YET. Thank you and hope to hear from a responsible person within sunrise beach resort soon.

A very very disappointing and unfair allocation of the units. I booked my unit 2 months prior to my arrival, specifically requesting a unit, paid the deposit for the specific unit which was confirmed by the establishment as available. On the day of my arrival i was notified that i have been reallocated to a different unit which was considerably smaller and neglected. Someone else who booked after than me was given the selected unit as pure favoritism as they had booked for a longer period and there was no way for me to get my originally requested unit upon arrival. Apparently, according to the lady dealing with the bookings (Hanly), when you pay a deposit for a specific unit, it is not guaranteed that you will get the unit that you've paid for on arrival (Note that your choice of unit is important, as the units have sea views, some do not have sea views, some units are bigger than others, hence the specific choice and i preferred the unit i stayed in previously). This was completely unfair as i booked the unit first. Nonetheless, the unit which i was given was smaller, completely neglected, water leaking in the kitchen and bathroom floors 24/7 making it difficult and dangerous to access these areas, ****roach infestation amongst many other endless issues which completely spoilt my experience and my stay. The staff are very accomodating and kind, often trying to assist us as best as they could however the management of the complex leaves alot to be desired. Many messages of complaints was sent and read by Hanly regarding my dissatisfaction and ignored during my stay. I frequently visited the reception area requesting assistance with issues. Absolutely pathetic service received from this establishment. Please be cautious when booking here. There are other pet friendly accomodation which are 5 star rated available in close proximity. The complex is poorly managed and is being run down with the units being neglected. I've booked here and supported this establishment for 3 years in a row despite being charged fees for every little additional service provided (additional pet fee, visitors fees etc. ) and this is how they treat their regular guest. This will definitely be my last stay here.

We were so excited to come and stay at this resort for our early Dec break away before the rush. Looked like a nice place for a quiet family break away from the joburg rush But on the Friday 8th December 2023 a group of people came in with bottles of alcohol and cooler boxes getting ready to party hard. The noise was so unbearable that we could not even hear our tv. Management was not interested in anything and told us their money is as good as ours. I have never been so disgusted that a holiday place will allow this. We asked for our money back so we could leave and they said no. They were not interested. We had to ensure 2 full days of screaming and loud noise from 6 in the morning to late at night. Thank goodnesss loadshedding set in at 10 pm . We will never come back here. And I advise people Never to book there. They are not interested in their clients well-being. It’s all about the money

Hi I'm writing this to you today about a bad experience, I'm receiving at Sunrise Beach Resort on the 29th October 2021. It is appalling to witness such a bad customer service of such a respected company Booking.com. We booked for the weekend 29th to 31st October 2021 when we arrive at the venue there's an electricity issue that they knew about on the 28th October 2021 of which they did not inform us prior and offer us an alternative. We had to deal with a lady who was rude to us than giving us a solution. The place they are offering us is not in good standard we are not happy with the service. I trust that this is not the way booking.Com does business and that you will mention my concern. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerely Pearl

Hi I'm writing this to you today about a bad experience, I'm receiving at Sunrise Beach Resort on the 29th October 2021. It is appalling to witness such a bad customer service of such a respected company Booking.com. When I got in the room I could literally see the dust on the windows with my naked eye. The mirrors were cracked and had spots on them. The day time service was terrible, the sewage blew up twice on the passage to the pool, and electricity was cut off during our stay. The worst thing was, when I asked if they do cleaning service they said, only to charge us on the deposit when we left. Accidents happened due to negligence and when I wanted to report the sewage burst , the reception was never available. We had to wait 5 Min everytime to enter for her to open the gates. It's truly the dishonesty of the cleaning that set me off, how can you give me 6 plates and cups + cutlery and say that it's extra charge to clean because it takes longer to wash exactly what is offered. Schelems is what sunrise beach resort is. My sister booked accomodation with a pet and after she was charged extra for the pet without being told. Sunrise beach resort will find a way to take your deposit away.
