Where do I start with my very long (but in a nutshell, short) story about my eyes. I have had vision problems since I was a teenager. But nobody could ever get my prescription correct so I just squinted my way through life, trying year after year to get glasses that had lenses through which I could see equally. Fast forward to the present where I am now the mother of teenagers, I have an auto-immune disease which affects my eyes and I have a brain tumour on my optic chiasm. Still not winning with my vision and starting to feel really insecure as my vision rapidly deteriorated in the last year. I am a registered nurse and my vision is vital to my work. But enough about me. My husband once took me to Vision to find a frame because he really liked their selection, so I booked an eye test with them a month or so ago. Little did I know that that day would literally be life-changing. I got to meet Hermann, who patiently and enthusiastically tested my eyes, picked up that I have a keratoconus and I am astigmatic (the astigmatism I knew about and I believed that to be the reason for my prescription being impossible to get right). Hermann took all my unique and individual factors into consideration and came up with a solution that required two frames, but that would work for my needs. The glasses for distance were perfect for driving, and the home and office pair were perfect for reading and computer work. I was ecstatic that I could see clearly! But then I had an issue where I would drive with one pair to a patient but need the other pair for intricate work. Due to the number of Covid cases I see and the nuisance of having to switch frames over and over, thereby continuously touching my face was not working. So I went back and asked Hermann what my options are. We decided that we would make both frames multifocal, but still keep one pair specifically for computer work. And because the glasses were under warranty still, I just had to pay in a difference. As a treat, I decided I would get another pair of sunglasses with distance lenses for driving. Hermann told me the pros and cons of each brand and did not encourage the priciest brand, but the brand with the best service and after-care. I am really looking forward to receiving my specs and just know that they'll work for me. I cannot commend Hermann enough on his impeccable service, knowledge and professionalism and for finally getting my prescription right. He really needs to be acknowledged. I will be referring many patients to him because he is way ahead of his game and I just need to express my gratitude to Hermann.

Bad customers firstly with accusing a client that they did not pay for a product when indeed I did. No order in their own processes. Furthermore the product I receive is defective causing me grief I complained and still waiting for feedback.

Best optometrists I have ever been to. They have the best technology and staff professionalism is incredible. I would highly recommend the drive should you not live in the area like myself. I now understand my eyes for the first time since I've been wearing glasses, as I had an in-depth feedback session. Prices are fantastic, didn't have to pay additional, as medical aid covered my designer glasses. Keep shining!

Really good experience with Vision Optometrists in Cresta. Great to see the passion of the optometrist I dealt with, Herman, who took the time to explain the smallest of details. Its the second pair of specs they've make up for me and I will be going back there form my third pair!

It was shocking from a lady by the name of Rebecca that captured the medical aid details about three times wrong and then said she forgot her reading glasses at home. Then even more shocking was the don't care attitude of the optometrist by the name of Lucy that said she don't care if we posted there bad service on the social network. And to top it all they said although the medical aid will pay in full, I must still pay over R300 for hardening on the lens. I said what if I don't want the hardening protection on the lens. They said it is a must. They are nothing but robbing people.

Then even more shocking was the don't care attitude of the optometrist by the name of Lucy that said she don't care if we posted there bad service on the social network. And to top it all they said although the medical aid will pay in full, I must still pay over R300 for hardening on the lens. I said what if I don't want the hardening protection on the lens. They said it is a must. They are nothing but robbing people.

I ordered contact lenses. The lady at the counter then put the claim through on my medical aid FOUR TIMES!<br> They reversed two of these, the third which I had to contact them to sort out.<br> Lennel Somers then tells me everything is fine, and I receive my discovery Claims history and I can see that the claim was put through FOUR times, but that the three mistakes (made my VISION Optometrists) had been reversed.<br> I'm assured everything is sorted.<br> Then I receive a bill in the mail for the contact lenses I have already paid for!<br> Absolutely ridiculous. Would not recommend using this company. Their financial department and billing system is just a HUGE headache.<br> It will now be the third time I have had to go into this Optometrist office just to settle this ONE transaction.<br> Mistakes on billing is not acceptable. Very unhappy customer

ordered contact lenses. haven't heard from store in nearly one week. I have enquired twice and the people taking the calls are not really able to help or give answers to why its taking so long to get them. just tell you they haven't arrived - sorry. try again later??? previous optometrists used to supply within 24-48 hours and inform you of arrival by sms??

I have enquired twice and the people taking the calls are not really able to help or give answers to why its taking so long to get them. just tell you they haven't arrived - sorry. try again later??? previous optometrists used to supply within 24-48 hours and inform you of arrival by sms??
