I am afraid that we are going to lose Columbia Stores in South Africa. I purchased a pair of Columbia boots for R 2999 in April. In July I returned the boots to the store in the East Rand Mall, as they were damaged. The boots had been discontinued already. Firstly, the complaints line remains unanswered, Secondly, I spoke to the store, then the area manager Lina, then the head office - the MD Lorna Wignall, then Jonathan Swart and then Steven Moore, difficult to get a hold of the MD - she is on the run ? This situation is unacceptable as I am of the opinion that they are closing down, with a continued discount of 50 % in-store (except for the boots). My refund has been declined

Have a pair of hiking boots bought from Cape Union Mart some years ago. Hardly used. After a light hike the other day the soles on both boots started separating from the boot. Absolutely horrible customer experience. The South African company that manages Columbia sportswear, In the RSA should have their license revoked. I received a jacket as a gift however it was the incorrect size. The store refused to exchange the Jacket for the same jacket just a different size without the original receipt. This is completely contrary to how Columbia global prides itself on customer service. I will never recommend or support this brand again. Much rather go with Brands like North Face or Patagonia who maintain their consumer loyalty in RSA. I requested to speak to the manager or asked for an email address to which I could escalate my query and was outright refused by both Tygervalley store staff (Lynette) and head office staff (Tonette) absolutely pathetic.

I made two online orders with Columbia on the 14 September! They clearly state all over their website that deliveries will take 3 - 4 working days to be delivered. I have still not received anything and it is now the 5 October!!!! Not only have they been sitting with my money (and many other customers money I am sure) for the last 3 weeks but now they also have got no stock of the items that I placed orders for. Of the 13 items I ordered it looks like they can only deliver on 4 of them!!! How this is possible i have no idea as they must have a system online to monitor stock vs orders?<br> <br> Not only have my orders been a disaster but I had told a bunch of mates and family about the online site who are also all sitting without their orders!!! Extremely frustrating and embarrassing.
