I purchased icing sugar from Honey bee on Saturday the 04/10 for a large order of cupcakes as I am a baker. While I was making my icing I found large pieces of stone looking pieces in my buttercream (I had already made a batch prior and iced half of my cupcakes) after seeing what I found I had to start over which caused a delay in my order. I contacted honeybee today 06/10 and they advised I should go into store and show them what I found. They agreed to only refund me for the icing sugar after trying to get me to take a different brand of icing which I did not want after my previous experience. They did not consider my time and ingredients other than the icing sugar that went to waste or try and compensate me for my loss.

I ordered pans from Honeybee Online that were advertised as non-stick and looked very different in the images on their website. I was so excited, but when they arrived it was not the same product at all — instead, I received ordinary cake pans that looked cheaply made, with sheets that seemed paneled together and not well finished. I contacted Honeybee on 31 July, explained the issue, and even sent them photos of what I had received compared to their website listing. Within a week of that, they changed the pictures and descriptions on their website to match what they actually sent me — but I still have the original screenshots of what I ordered, and it was definitely not the same. Since then, I’ve been asking repeatedly about a refund and return. Each time I was told someone would be in contact or that it was being “arranged,” but nothing has happened. My follow-ups were on 1, 6, 7, 12, and 13 August, and I was always told to wait. As of 21 August, no one has collected the pans and I have not received a refund. It’s very disappointing, especially because I’ve since seen many other complaints about Honeybee Online. Some reviews make them sound fantastic, but once you’ve paid, the after-sales service is extremely poor. Please be careful when ordering from them — what you see online may not be what you actually receive.

I placed an order on Monday, 9 June at 8:52 AM for slim hotdog takeaway boxes – a standard in-stock item that doesn’t require any preparation. Over 72 hours passed with no tracking information, so I followed up via WhatsApp after hours to ensure they’d see it first thing the next morning. The following day, still no response. I tried to use their website chat and there was again no response. Eventually, they responded on whatsapp three hours after their official opening time. I asked to upgrade to next-day or to overnight delivery because I needed the parcel for the weekend. They agreed… but never actioned it. When I followed up again the next day, only then did they initiate the delivery – on Friday, knowing full well that they use The Courier Guy, which doesn’t deliver on weekends. With Youth Day on Monday, I was only going to receive the parcel on Tuesday, 17 June – far too late. Naturally, I requested a full refund. It’s now been over a month, and despite promises, I still haven’t received my money back. I’ve had to chase them constantly, and the lack of urgency or accountability is shocking. This has been a deeply frustrating experience from start to finish – slow responses, empty promises, poor customer care, and now no refund after all this time. I absolutely cannot recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable service.

In the beginning everything went well and smooth with my whatz app orders but as soon as I complained about they not giving me service and not sending the orders to the address I'm sending them they started to give me bad service. There products are cheap and good but the what's app service is bad now I'm still waiting for an order from the 8th of sept2024 till today not yet receive its the 17.09.2024 and the lady just don't care as I ask for the pudo number to trace the order, we depend on the baking supply we order from them but they just don't care.

It was my 3rd order from them. I put my order in yesterday morning and receive it today the 19th October at 11. They are very quick and thorough. I receive everythig I order,it was perfect. Thanks for your good service.

Soo impressed by the customer service. I ordered online and the same day I was called to let me know that my order was packed and ready to be shipped. They also called to make sure that my postal code was correct. They added me on WhatsApp and sent me my tracking details. I will update once I have received my goods, but so far you've got my support.

One of the good baking supplier when it comes to products but very discriminating racial. I experienced it when I had to stand for more than 30mins on the que to print just a mere edible picture and only African people were on the que. Asian people were being helped as they walk in. The Africans on the que tried to ask but their complain was not taken into consideration and the lady helping said it was her auntie so it has to be in that way. Food for thought, every customer is a paying customer I suggest you learn to customers fairly as we are not coming to beg but to buy. Very disappointed

One of the good baking supplier when it comes to products but very discriminating racial. I experienced it when I had to stand for more than 30mins on the que to print just a mere edible picture and only African people were on the que. Asian people were being helped as they walk in. The Africans on the que tried to ask but their complain was not taken into consideration and the lady helping said it was her auntie so it has to be in that way. Food for thought, every customer is a paying customer I suggest you learn to customers fairly as we are not coming to beg but to buy. Very disappointed

I was ripped off and threatened by the Owner and Mohsin who ever he is i mailed the store to email me back other then hanifa she does not know how to speak to a customer my wife spends enough money at your store for her baking business Then Moshin tells me to come down to the store if i got something to say in a bad way is that a threat ?????? Please advise is this how you treat all your customers ????i bought old pecan nuts from your store for 55 rand and was given back 30 rand worth so what happened to the other 25 rand? Or is the packed nuts at a higher price 2 was taken out and tasted literally 2 and it was returned i stay 10kms away from the store who covers my time and petrol Thanks
