My picnic setup @ Kievits kroon was so disappointing it was my birthday staycation and I’ve booked for a picnic for me and my daughter and payed pre person the amount I paid and the level of the set up I got was not up to the standard every thing was served in plastic containers the food was cold also for example when I choose snacks and my daughter choose popcorn their snacks was a packet of Doritos can you imagine after paying so much money m truly disappointed On a lighter note The deluxe rooms where beautiful just that they are close to the main entrance I got hear the noise of cars that was unpleasant And the pool side absolutely stunning Staff was also very nice and helpful

They gave me good food poisoning from one of their resturants spent and entire night being secevely sick to a point i was in co.plwt dehydration and exhausted from throwing up, the estate claimed it was my own fault HOw?when they are the only resturant available as it's a wine farm.i was admitted to hospital due to the severity of the nature /that morning based on the request from the estate and the paramedics claiming i was too sick and had to go.i spent the entire day in the hospital upon which, they would phone the nurse and bad talk me saying it wasn't their fault and so on.after spending 17hours in the ER getting fluids and painful ivs I asked to be diacharged the doctors were even reluctant to send me home because I was so sick .they were insisted I leave the estate and made sure I checked out making claims like if she got sick why stay here ,meanwhile I was almost incapable of moving .I have tried to co tact them they leave me with no response and when they get back to me after months or days they will say it's not their fault no one got sick by me everyone was happy they do cleans ...and they will not take responsibility and close the case.they did the same thing when I gave them review on Google and they claimed it was my fault and instead of owning up to it again praised their staff(,question my time spent in the Er because the is apparently the main issue here ) told me a bunch of BS regulations they follow which if it is done ,is only being done so now after thr complaint because on the day they were very lost.they are not empathic of the situation and reluctantant to show accountability, easy to shift blame and undermine the importance of healthcare professionals and putting people are risk with their health.this management need some serious revamp and need to learn how to treat and take of guests .not to long ago the same thing happen to someone else and they found glass in their food and the extreme dangerous helath issuse that caused that guest they still did not take accountability.thwre is something serious wrong with this facility. I'm a healtcare professional and I know how and when I got sick and what was done to me.and I can say I would never recommend this place to anyone ..they were given a 1 star cause a 0 star is not possible. Their responses ro dangerous acts they are doing is very inhuman and unempathic and people should go there unless they plan on getting sick and humbling blamed for getting sick

I am writing this letter to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the way I have been treated following the serious incident that occurred during my recent stay at Kievits Kroon. As previously reported, during our visit, my wife and I were served dessert that contained broken glass bottle pieces. This was an alarming and distressing. I provided photographic evidence of the dessert before and after consumption and also submitted proof that my wife was admitted to Medicare Hospital in Rustenburg as a result of this incident. Despite my efforts to cooperate and resolve this issue amicably, I am now experiencing a complete lack of communication from their side. I have attempted to reach out multiple times via phone and email to Mr. Francois Stremmelaar, the General Manager. Unfortunately, every time I call, I am told he is "in a meeting the whole day," and my calls are never returned—even when I have tried calling his mobile directly. It is extremely disappointing and unprofessional that such a serious matter has been ignored. This lack of transparency and refusal to engage further adds to the trauma we experienced. I feel that I am being deliberately avoided by your team. Please be advised that due to your continued unresponsiveness and failure to resolve this matter in good faith, I am now left with no choice but to escalate the issue to my legal representatives. I will be pursuing further action and lodging a formal complaint with relevant consumer and legal authorities.

Truly Disappointing Experience Our stay at Kievite Kroon was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite being advertised as a luxury experience, the rooms were dirty and had an unpleasant smell, with the bathroom being even worse. The housekeeping staff seemed *********** and inattentive to basic cleanliness. However, the worst part of our experience was the food safety issue. We were served dessert that contained small broken glass particles, which resulted in my wife being hospitalized a day after we checked out. Instead of taking responsibility, the management has ignored my calls—including Laurence, the hotel manager, and Lucky, the restaurant manager. To make matters worse, the chef later changed the story, falsely claiming that we never ate the food. luckily i have evidence of pictures attached, even for my wife fighting for her life in a hospital, where i even had to pick her up from the car to the hospital because she couldnt walk. The only positive aspect of our stay was the breakfast, which had a good variety. However, that does not make up for the serious health and safety concerns we encountered. The lack of accountability and poor customer service make it clear that guest safety is not a priority at this establishment. I would strongly advise others to think twice before staying or dining here. Following up,: WOW i dont believe this, after almost two weeks now Laurence the manager and the other stuff they are ignoring my calls, when i tell them my name they always say Laurence is in the meeting, Lucky is not available, i guess will have to go the legal route for them to take me serious

Made a booking for this weekend (Valentine's Day, 14 February 2025) back in October 2024 and management now informs me that my 3 course dinner is no longer available. Check out how they are trying to get additional moneys to now have dinner included in the booking. "Dear Mr van der Walt I hope this message finds you well. Please note that the ONLY dinner option we have available is our special Valentines buffet dining at R1990.00 per couple. In room dining and a la carte will NOT be available to order on the 14th of February as it is a special event. Since you have dinner inclusive in your rate, there will be an additional charge of R1130 for the buffet option. Kindly confirm if we can book a table for you or will you have alternative dinner arrangements."

They lack attention to detail, wouldn’t recommend to anyone that wants to celebrate any special event or day. The music in the spa kept on pausing which was also a huge distraction during my massage.
