I received an computer monitor different to the one advertised. Returning items is a mission- you have to courier it to the seller at your own expense. I had to pay R200 to courier the items back to seller. Stick to T@kealot.
A solid five stars for your COURIER DRIVERS. So friendly and polite. Siya gave me great service! As for your admin staff- the less said about them, the better.

Don't use their service if you need money urgently. Don't believe their false advertising. They say that customers receive funds within a couple of hours, which is FAR from the truth. THREE days later and I still haven't received the money I so urgently needed. They take 48 hrs just to verify documents. The emergency has passed and the object of applying for the loan is defeated. I no longer need your money.

Their drivers lie and say that arrived and you were unavailable when in fact they never did. I guess this is so that they can get paid for a trip they never made. They then send an SMS stating that you were unavailable at the time of delivery/collection. They do not call to say "we're outside, please come out"- instead, they shout and create a commotion at the gate, telling you to hurry up!
First and last time. I will never ever ever EVER order from them again.
First impressions last. This was my first online purchase from Sedgars and I received excellent service! My parcel arrived earlier than scheduled and I was kept in the loop about the status of the shipment until it was delivered. You have earned my trust and loyalty. Keep it up up! Danko!
I ordered a product two weeks ago from Takealot. I sent an email to their customer service centre detailing that I still hadn't received my product and requesting that they expedite the delivery of my product. My email was responded to by Siyamthanda Mathayi, a customer service representative who advised that she would seek counsel from senior management and revert. Subsequent to that, she sent me an e-mail stating that the refund I had asked for would be processed. I am frustrated because I stated explicitly that I was asking for the delivery of my goods to be expedited. At no stage, did I ask for refund. It would seem that she didn't want to exert the effort it would take ensure delivery of my goods, so she opted to process a refund just to get rid of the issue. I am now going to have to reorder this product and wait what could possibly be a month, for it to be delivered. I won't be buying anything from them ever again, thanks to the ineptitude of their staff.
