On 1 December, Tiger Brands Consumer Care responded to my email regarding a concern with Tinkies. I was informed that my case had been sent to the Manufacturing Unit and that “all preventative measures” would be followed. The actual issue? The Tinkies were extremely dry and stale, despite being well within the expiry date — clearly not the quality one expects from this product. Since that email on 1 December, there has been complete silence. No update, no feedback, no resolution — just a polite, generic response that seems to have been the end of the conversation. Apparently once an issue is “sent to the Manufacturing Unit,” customers are no longer kept in the loop. As a consumer, I would expect follow-up communication, especially when it involves a food product. A brand of this size should do better than a one-off copy-and-paste message and then disappearing. It’s been weeks, so I assume the Manufacturing Unit is still thinking about it. Posting here in the hope that this finally results in an actual update — not just another automated reply.
Wow, Vodacom really outdid themselves this time. I canceled my contract three months ago—yes, THREE months—and yet somehow, like magic, I was still billed every single month. Apparently, “canceled” is just a suggestion in their world. When I called to ask why, I was told, with utmost confidence, that my contract was not canceled. Fascinating! I guess my emails, calls, and cancellation requests were just invisible. Honestly, if you’re looking for a company that will charge you for services you explicitly don’t want, provide endless excuses, and make you question the meaning of the word “cancellation,” Vodacom is the gold standard. Highly recommended… if your hobby is throwing money into a black hole.
I am extremely unhappy with the service from Value Express Courier. When we phoned to find out when our couches would be delivered, the staff were unhelpful and showed no interest in assisting us. They refused to provide any clear information about when the driver would deliver, even though the items have been “in transit” for days with no progress. The lack of communication and complete disregard for customer service is shocking. It’s frustrating to deal with a courier company that cannot give basic delivery updates or support. I would not recommend Value Express based on this experience.
I am extremely disappointed with Makro Online’s service. I purchased couches on the 12th of November with a confirmed delivery date of 6 December. Makro even reconfirmed on the 5th of December that delivery would take place as scheduled. However, when I checked the tracking today, it still showed “in transit.” After phoning them, I was told that the courier company has not even dispatched the couches from Johannesburg to Worcester. This is completely unacceptable. The lack of communication and the poor coordination between Makro and their couriers is just pathetic. I expected far better service from a company of this size. I will definitely think twice before ordering from Makro Online again.
If there was an award for Harassment of the Year, Credit Intel would win without even trying. I am being chased for R10 000 supposedly owed to “Computech” — a company I’ve never bought from, never signed with, never even seen in my life. At this point, I’m convinced they just spin a wheel in the office and pick a random person to bother for fun. Their professionalism? Non-existent. You phone them for clarity, and they reward you by putting the phone down in your ear like it’s part of their training manual. “Step 1: Harass. Step 2: Hang up. Step 3: Repeat.” I am reporting this because I’m tired of being contacted for a **** debt that doesn’t belong to me. If they have proof, they can show it. If not, they can stop wasting my time. Absolutely unacceptable. Sort this out.
0 Stars if I Could – A Masterclass in Avoidance by iMile Delivery 🌟 Wow. Just wow. If there was an Olympic sport for not processing a simple tax refund, iMile would be bringing home gold medals for South Africa — or wherever their refund department is hiding (Mars, maybe?). It’s now been 24 days since Shein cancelled my order, and I’ve been trying to get my TAX refund back ever since. I’ve been calling. And calling. And calling. It’s been like having a pen pal who only knows one sentence: "We will refund you soon." Soon? Are we talking dog years here? Every time I phone, I get the same robotic line, like it’s a script from a really bad soap opera. No actual help, no action, just vague promises and an impressive ability to stall. Honestly, if I wanted this level of commitment to doing absolutely nothing, I’d ask my ex for help. At this point, I’m convinced the refund is traveling on foot from China, blindfolded, and taking a few scenic detours along the way. If you enjoy wasting your time, being ignored, and repeating yourself to the void, then by all means – trust iMile with your money. If not, maybe stick to companies that understand what "refund" actually means. Bravo, iMile. Customer service legends. 👏
On the 17th of April, I placed an online order for toddler clothes with Ackermans. How exciting! The order arrived on the 30th of April — fashionably late — and as a bonus, it came soaking wet. Yes, you read that right. Apparently, Ackermans now offers a free “drenched delivery” experience. Naturally, I logged a complaint immediately. That was over a month ago. Since then? Absolute silence. No feedback, no update, not even a courtesy email. Impressive customer service — if the goal was to completely ignore the customer. If you're into wet clothes and being ghosted by customer care, I highly recommend shopping at Ackermans. Otherwise, maybe not.
<div>Be Cautious – Especially if You Have Medical Aid I want to caution anyone considering UXI Sport Institute, especially those relying on medical aid. Be aware that this institution does not provide the necessary documentation (letters or statements) required to submit to medical aid for student-related purposes. Despite multiple requests, they refused to assist, leaving us unable to apply for student rate. Additionally, be very careful about financial agreements. They will hold you liable for payments even if you have not signed any official documents or agreements. There’s a serious lack of transparency and professionalism when it comes to administration and communication around payments. Make sure you have everything in writing and do not assume they will act in good faith. My experience has been extremely frustrating, and I wouldn’t want others to go through the same.</div>
MOST PATHETIC SERVICE EVER. BEEN MORE THAN AN HOUR ON THE PHONE, NO ONE IS ANSWERING AND ASSISTING YOU. DELIVERY IS LATE AND PARCEL HAS BEEN IN CAPE TOWN FOR 5 DAYS WITHOUT ANY MOVEMENT
They debit your account whenever they want with amounts that is not correct, now debit orders bounce back due to dates they choose to debit and not when the original date is and they do not take responsibility for it. Do not use them as they also do not reply and they just do not care!!!!!!!
