Trying to make a booking using the KZN Wildlife booking web site is very trying as payment for the booking does not seem possible. Whichever platform (laptop or mobile, chrome or firefox) is used, one just gets the error: "Please ensure that you enter your email address or mobile number and password correctly. Mobile number should be in the format: 27830000000". Seeing as OTPs are reaching me via email and mobile, it would seem the error is nonsense.
Have twice sent emails cancelling a policy. Rejected requests to increase the premium and have had to reverse and cancel debit order payments from my side, but still they attempt to extract a premium each month. Complaints to their "customer care" are also ignored.
Lots of advertising about how rewards have become somewhat useful after being pretty much useless till now. However try registering on the app or the website. Broken.
Registered online with RTMC (eNatis) and renewed a car license in May. System worked. Encouraged by this I tried again 13th July to renew licenses for 2 cars. Paid via EFT. Site still shows payment pending. Emails get automated response. Nothing else happens. No other response. The system is broken.
I have been a premium subscriber to Dstv for many years. It has always been difficult to contact anyone at Multichoice who actually listens or can understand any technical problem. Recently this has become near impossible. Try chat on the site, waste of time, just get rote answers, most of which have no bearing on the issue. Email gives you boilerplate responses, which indicate that the email content was not read. My current issue is that the new streaming service, including catchup, and now Showmax have been re-platformed so that they no longer work on devices I use. We have an older Samsung Smart TV, which cannot run the Showmax app and I use Linux laptops, which is an OS Dstv in its wisdom has decided to no longer support. Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Disney+ all support my devices. I have suggested that since I can no longer access services, which worked well until late last year, I get a rebate on my subscription. Ignored, as usual.
Black Friday cynicism at its worst. I get adverts for 3kg Sunlight washing powder and 24 Twinsaver toilet rolls on special over the Black Friday weekend. The Superspar near me does not carry either of these items in those configurations and apparently never has. I feel it is dishonest to offer specials on items that are not available.
Was taxed on a transaction that is supposedly tax free, namely the first withdrawal from a pension/provident fund. Have been trying to find out why. First did a request fro reason, no response. Next an objection, no response. Then a complaint, no response. On doing my tax return another objection, response was 'invalid objection, do request for reason'. Efiling shows that request for reason is not available. Tried the tax ombud, they say they cannot help, I have not exhausted all avenues. with SARS. Set up a telephonic appointment. No call. SARS at your service? I don't think so.
It appears that Showmax implemented some changes recently. Suddenly we are back to an error we had some years ago. I use Ubuntu operating system, mostly using Firefox browser. Both are kept up to date. Used Showmax last about 2 weeks ago, no issues. Tonight I am getting lic1033 error, which tells me to update my OS or browser. Online chat gives no response (waited 15 minutes). Do not have these problems on Dstv Now.
If it were not so frustrating, it would be quite funny. Searched for a new Scorpio without success for a while, then Mahindra West Rand suddenly could provide. This they did on time. No carpets for the vehicle, they would let me know when they had some. The speedometer did not work, returned to the workshop, sorted in a minute. Of course the carpets..., never received despite more promises. Then on a trip to the coast the speedometer stopped working again. On return took it to MWR, told me the sensor needed to be replaced. None in stock, they would order and let me know. A month later I get a 'courtesy' call, how was the service? On being told I had no service, I get the same story - will order and let me know. This time I did get a response within two days, bring the car in on Monday. Monday noon I get a message the car just needs to be washed. At 16:00 I get a call, speedo still does not work, can I bring the vehicle in on Thursday? Will let me know when I can collect the car. Silence. Tuesday morning I phone, get told service department does not receive calls before 09:00! Finally speak to someone, he will have to find out. He does later return my call, yes will send a driver to fetch me. About 13:00 driver arrives. Now Thursday, I phone (09:15) to find out if the right part has arrived. "Don't know will check and call back". I phone again at 10:00, "still looking". It is now nearly 11:00, still nothing. Maybe next week will be better, but I am not holding my breath. Pity they don't respond.
SARS efiling website is broken at the moment, just as provisional tax returns are due! If one tries to generate a provisional return there is no response. If one examines the site there is a programming error: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '<' in the crossbrowser.js module.
